Petros refers to a "rock or stone" something that an English speaker might say when referring to something that you could pick up. There is also no other witness to this special power catholics seem to think Peter had, which would have invalidated the works of all the other apostles.

If the foundation is removed without there being another foundation to take its place, the house falls. If there is another to take its place, it stays. When Christ leaves earth, He is no longer physically there to ensure that the faith remains stable, hence Him ensuring there is a new stabilizing force ("foundation") before He leaves

You know how we, in English, say a "flood" of people? In Koine Greek (both within and outside of scripture) a gatherings of people are sometimes called "clouds."
An example from scripture would be how Christ's second coming is described as being "with the clouds of heaven" in some verses and "with His tens of thousands" in another about the same event (within any version). (Some versions lean full on with the actual idea of physical clouds and say "on" the clouds but still say "with" His tens of thousands in the other verse, but the "on" is not there.)
Anyway, the idea ties with the Koine Greek way of saying that you and I are "in the air" (which is not to say in the 'ouranos', the 'heavens'), and this is the same as what we, in English, would call "on the earth." (Wave your arms. Feel the air? You are in the air, but not the "sky." So "in the air" people might gather into "clouds.")

Well yes, I actually do (because I probably am, at least smarter than a good 99.99% of them), but people refuse to accept that I have so much more information at my fingertips than they could dream of. Translations are based on THEIR understanding of language at the time they translated, and what they FELT fit the meaning the best, not on what the words ACTUALLY meant. Take John 3 where Jesus says you must be born from above, not born again, as just one simple example.

There's a difference between asking someone here to pray for or with you than there is asking a deceased individual to do that. Mary can't hear you. It's not her part to pray for you.
Mary? Simply Mary. What else is she? A Human alike any other.
For being so special Jesus talked of her and to her very little in the scripture. As a matter of fact Scripture has very little to say about her. Heck even Jesus said John the Baptist was the greatest.

a) if you're quoting that then why do you not believe that John is greater than Jesus (born of women) b) It's clearly a simple praise that is then used to illustrate a point c) Mary is in Heaven and thus greater than you, why insult her?

I grow tired of pseudo-intellectual nonsense, especially when it fails to understand the simple concepts the Bible is trying to convey. Luke 3:38 is there to explain what "son of God" means. Jesus IS God. He is not a separate entity, or a "part" of God. God is One, and Jesus is Him.
I'm sure he did, but this view that they walked around speaking Aramaic is most likely modernistic academic nonsense. There are verses that are quoted throughout the new testament that are grammatically different between the LXX and masoretic texts, and clearly support a translation from the LXX.

But this is literally what happened before Jesus. The established orthodoxy got it wrong. All of them. So why would you expect it to be different? The entire point of Revelation, and Daniel, and Isaiah and Jeramiah etc where it talks about anything having to do with "end times" is that we still all got it wrong, so Jesus finally returns to save us for good. Jesus's first coming was about redeeming His chosen, not about fixing all of our problems.

We could discuss Daniels 5th kingdom and who you think that might be, but I notice this funny trend where people (I'm not saying you) generally tend to hyper focus in on words or phrases and not others.
