Dear companies hiring cloud infra:
STOP ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT SERVERS IN A PRIVATE SUBNET "ACCESSING" THE INTERNET.
If you're server in AWS is having trouble "accessing" the internet, it's because you don't have an IGW, or security groups, or route tables.
IF YOU HAVE A SERVER THAT _NEEDS TO BE ACCESSED_ *ON* THE INTERNET, that is the question to ask for NAT gateways to be the answer.
Stop looking confused when I take a 5 minute detour because you can't ask the right question.
