Domain Catching is a nasty sort of #fraud. Ever heard of it?
Here's what happens:
Fraudster manages to register an expired domain, then creates a simulation of the previous website (using an archive version)
Next, they add (spam) content to this website
This way, they exploit the online identity of the previous domain owner
The damage done can be serious, and a personal violation

Boosts appreciated

are you using some archaic debian ubuntu mint linux where thay are still using 70s styles unix directory systems?
Welcome to 21st century where a unix system CAN be used for personal use and is not an enterprise multi-user system

in reply to Digit • • •the usrmerge thing is not anything to do with personal use vs enterprise multi-user system.
lmddgtfy.net/?q=usrmerge says before the results:
...
as for what i'm using...
so that kind of directory structure wasnt possible until... 2012? or 2015(ish) when version 0.5 came out (iirc... or maybe 0.6 or 0.7 brought other directory structure changes i've forgot). ... and still, even with the bedrock complexification of my system's directory structure, the usrmerge thing leaves me "not used to". n_n
