Armenia's Yerevan Court Arrests Archbishop Ajapakhyan for Two Months, Lawyer Says en.sputniknews.africa/20250628…

Jeff Daniels does a good job playing Chamberlain in the movie "Gettysburg." And, I admit I don't know much about Chamberlain, he does seem to be a good man who fought one hell of a fight during that battle.

But the speech he gives at the beginning of the movie is such horse shit. Perhaps he sincerely believed it, but it's absolute nonsense. And the brutality and raping and pillaging of Yankee troops against Southern civilians time after time after time is evidence against these lies.

in reply to Daddy-O of the 7 Wonders

@GummyNerds there were so many decisions by the southern commanders that could have changed the outcome of that battle. The North was fortunate they made the wrong ones time after time.

That being said, Rufus Dawes was a badass, and the Iron Brigade basically saved the Union’s bacon. The South didn’t want to fight those Black Hats.

@GummyNerds well that’s really the story of battles, isn’t it? Having a superior position and better supplies.

The South could have ended that battle on day 1, but the failed to press their advantage, and that allowed the North time to retreat and set up their position on Semetary Ridge, the famous fishhook line. Once they had their position set, it was nearly impossible to drive the North out of it.

Suing woke companies is sometimes the only way regular Americans can fight back.

Remember those companies that discriminated against White or straight people? Or forced employees to use pronouns??

Most Americans have no way of fighting back without help from outside sources.

Why cut that off?

Reevaluating my password management

It never made sense to me to put password managers in the cloud. Regards to what you intend it to do, you’re making it accessible to a wider audience than necessary. And yet, I’m using iCloud. It’s time for a change.

I’m thinking of just running a locally hosted password manager on my home server and letting my devices sync with it somehow when I’m at home. I have a VPN into my home network when I’m away that automatically triggers when I leave the house, so even that’s not that big an issue, but I’m really not familiar with what’s gonna cleanly integrate with all my stuff and be easy to use. All I know is I wanna kill the cloud functionality of my setup.

I already have a jellyfish server so I figured I would just throw this onto that. Any suggestions?

If you’re happy with how Apple Password works for you, I can recommend StrongBox. It keeps all data in a KeePass2 database and integrates into Apple’s AutoFill API. That means it feels almost native when using it. No browser plugin needed. (At least not for Safari.) And you can decide how you sync the database file.

this is a great article. It's from AlJazeera though, so perhaps you should give credit to them, rather than making it look like you wrote it yourself?

Could someone please just TERMINATE Netflix and everyone working there!

I am so sick of them ruining every great show there is

It is hard enough to find a show that is not gay and retarded and full of feminism and black power and soy boys with man boobs and ugly fat women

In the off chance I stumble upon a genuinely great show and watch the first season and then wait a whole fckng year for the next season and then netflix has fckng bought it and made it into gay and retarded feminist slop!!!!

in reply to bquirky

@bquirky

No it will get cancelled after the second season since the first season wasn't made by netflix. But they have already bought the show and made a second season. This is how they do it.

They buy great shows because they are unable to create greatness.

But since they are unable to create anything good every show they buy, they destroy.

They can band make ten seasons of they want to. They will all be garbage. They don't care.

@ikonha this reminds me of another corporate disaster,
beaconhealthsystem - supposedly, they are recovering from a data breach that compromised many patients data: but it's not over:
they have many IP addresses, in different netblocks, and they are being used for attacks against other sites.

They have been appearing in my server logs for at least 2 months.

So whatever is going on there is not as described at their dot org
