Besotes o equivalentes.

Four days ago, I asked for help — just to get medicine for my father, to save his life and ease his pain,
but I couldn’t secure the money needed.
Now, it’s no longer just about medicine.
We are without food, without water, without the basic things any human needs to survive.
We are dying slowly.

Our yacy search engine is back online and fully operational. And it is now upgraded to the most recent release. Upgrading provided a substantial improvement in crawl rate but at the expense of higher memory consumption. All in all though the performance increase
was worthwhile.
For those who are not aware, yacy is a federated search engine. When you put in a query,
it queries all the federated servers (there are some stand alone and isolated yacy networks), and collates and returns a combined result.

"There was something awkward about her," he recalls. "But I assumed it was about being in a new church with new people, and we were just coming out of the pandemic. There was no red flag." Venessa Pinto, employed by the Leicester diocese of the Church of England as a lay preacher - a non-ordained person who can lead worship - returned a few more times to Jay's church. A few weeks later, they both happened to be at a midweek service in Leicester Cathedral. When it was over, she approached him and asked to speak privately. They stepped into the quiet of the old cathedral graveyard. Then she asked him out.
"I was very taken aback, because I didn't know her. And I was like, 'I'm gay, but thank you for asking.' But she asked me if it was because she was black." Jay was startled by the question. He gently reiterated that he could not go out on a date because he was gay - and also not in the right place for a relationship. "I left it thinking, 'That was very awkward', but I think, 'That's the end of that.'" It wasn't.
In fact, it was the beginning of a devastating campaign of stalking and harassment. And when Jay complained, the highest authority in the Church in Leicester - a top contender to be the next Archbishop of Canterbury - said he didn't believe him. Instead, he accused Jay of witchcraft. That summer, Jay Hulme, then in his mid-twenties, was at a very happy juncture in his life. He was a poet and author, an assistant warden at the LGBT-friendly St Nicholas Church and known on social media for his love of church buildings and theology.
He was exploring his Christian faith and considering the possibility of training to become a priest in the coming years. "I'm also trans, I'd come out a number of years before, and I'd finally come to a place of full and complete happiness with who I was. I saw my future unfurling before me in a way that had felt impossible before," he reminisces. 🙄

The Netherlands is enacting it's national heat plan this week. With temps forecast to be as high as 35˚C in the middle of the week. We need to talk about shade. Specifically, about the way our infrastucture is not designed for the new normal of these high temperatures in the summer.
In the heat of a summers day, by far the best thing a person can do is seek shade. Alas the way we have designed our built infrastructure makes this difficult. Take for example this bus stop in Amsterdam.

Matter interact with other matter in different ways. Just like rain drops are made of matter, light is matter too and can be blocked. In other words, we can have windows that let visible light through while absorbing, or reflecting rest of the spectrum.
That bus stop might be letting visible light while blocking wavelengths that contribute to most heat, or upgraded to do that.

'Are we allowed to say "death to the IDF" in the UK? Somerset police don't seem to think so.
Death to the IDF could mean many things. It could be metaphorical as in "I want to see the IDF come to an end", kind'a like saying "death to apartheid". It could be literal as in "I want to see the death of any soldier that harms civilians", kind'a like saying "they deserve the death penalty" '. 1/3
'Or it could be literal as in "I want to see every last IDF soldier dead because they're in a genocidal army".
Of course, Zionists have decided those words go even further than the last example: they have decided the Glastonbury chant means wishing death upon every Israeli. The Mail On Sunday even rewrote "death to the IDF" as "death to Israelis" on its front page, even though those words weren't said. This could easily be considered libellous.' 2/3

For those that practice the wise art of building your own you may notice on some repositories we have a deps and a deps.0, in an increasing occurrence in recent months.
Although pacman/makepkg provide this luxury of separating running dependency ( depends= ) and make/build dependencies as ( makedepends= and checkdepends= ) arch-linux and most of its followers fail to take the advantage of this, and list running dependencies on top where they are applied as makedependencies as well. By shifting running dependencies to package{}= sections you prevent makepkg from having to demand all of them.
Not ALL running dependencies are necessary to build a package, and if you run with minimal make dependencies it will most likely ask you specifically for what else is missing as a makedependency. There is a gray area where the pkg can build without a specific library or functionality necessary, and in such occasions you can search and take an educated guess whether you want this functionality or not. It is a general good practice to satisfy all those optional make dependencies so full functionality can be delivered.
In most recent labwc-git build, where build dependencies had been optimized, xwayland was demanded. Some new code in labwc -git requires that the current xwayland libraries be present for ultimate functionality, so this was added.
We believe that installing additional running dependencies while building is both extra bulk and a security risk, as if something insecure was discovered in the near future, it has been passed into packages by being present when not necessary.
So the previously used arch-linux inspired deps are moved in deps.0 and new deps tend to be smaller lists of what is necessary and/or useful to be present. By doing so we are under the impression that we are cleaning up the builds one at a time and progressively this makes the entire system leaner and more responsive as @Kerry (kokanee) recently commented. If you think this is a poor practice and what arch artix obarun manjaro are doing is good enough let us know why you think this is wrong. We have yet to encounter any evidence of a pkg being built suffering from such lean-build practice.

I may have a very old machine I tried this on, but the pkgs I believe make a difference being optimized and built on specific machine architecture are the kernel and certain large pkgs like xorg-server mesa .. or anything large. The rest didn't seem to make a perceivable difference, it may be measurable somehow but whether building generic or native appeared the same.
So I've decided to build exactly as joborun so I can use the built pkgs on other machines as well. Pretty much anything I can get my hands on gets joborun.
