I think "#slop" is a strong contender for #word of the year 2025, as it seems to be #universally recognizable as a description for the majority of output produced in the name of Return on #Investment.

Sure it means #algorithmically generative slop now, but look at housing construction, durable appliances, food, automobiles, you name it and tell me it's not just more slop. If enshittification is the process, slop is the result.

Lety Does Drinking the Summer Edition White Peach Flavored Energy Drink From Red Bull

You can get Red Bull's new Summer Edition everywhere now, but a couple months ago, when I filmed this, it was only available at Jack in the Box for some reason. Fortunately, there was one of those around the corner from Expo Park, and here we are now.

in reply to Lety Does Stuff 🔕

Hihi! Lety here, auto-commenting from my main account (which doesn't have a 🔕 icon)!

This is how my PeerTube videos look on other Fediverse platforms!

Remotely interact with this video using an account on an ActivityPub-powered platform like Mastodon Social! Just click the “Add comment...” box under any PeerTube video and enter your Fedi handle in the pop-up. That’ll direct you to the federated post for that video on whatever platform you use.

Or, if you’re already logged in on Mastodon or wherever you're seeing this message, just look at the post I’m responding to!

Replies and favorites on that post show up as comments and likes on PeerTube, and following the account that posted it subscribes you to my videos.

Heads up, though! While some platforms might allow you to respond with custom emojis, gifs, images, polls, and reactions, most of that fancy stuff won’t show up correctly on PeerTube. The same goes for any edits you might want to make to your response unless you delete & re-draft.

If you already know all this or are tired of seeing this wall of text, you can hide these explanation posts by going to your account preferences and creating a new filter with the title and keyword “#LetyDoesPeerTubeExplainer” and all context boxes checked.

Thanks so much for watching! ⚡⚡⚡

Pope Francis may not have been completely honest and transparent, and may have misrepresented the views of bishops in order to advance an ideological agenda.

Instead of entrusting the defence of your interests to others, see to the matter by yourselves. Instead of trying to choose advisers that will guide you in future actions, do the thing yourselves, and do it now! Men of good will shall not have to look long in vain for the opportunity. To put on others' shoulders the responsibility of one's actions is cowardice.

@DaddyO — I’ve wondered the same thing. 🤔 Maybe I’ve angered the bot gods? 😆

I wonder if it’s somehow related to how, ever since we moved to NA.S, my posts never show up on the explore tab, even on the rare occasions they’ve got a dozen or more favorites and boosts. Or maybe that’s because we just don’t see our own posts there?

@eriner — might you know the answers to these mysteries? (No biggie if not though.)

Top 8 fastest programing languages in 2024.
youtube.com/shorts/Fm3iH1PPgMw

1. C++ or Assembly
2. Rust
3. Go
4. Java
5. Python
6. Swift
7. JavaScript
8. C#

in reply to Nanook

@nanook prolly wrong but so are you. ASM is only marginally (today) faster IF you bother to hand optimize it. Speed advantages for Asm, C, C++ and mostly any purely compiled language will depend on the compiler used and various setting options tweaked to be more optimal towards a given task. Abstraction is only slower in interpreted or VM runtime languages like Java or C#. Anything that outputs pure binary code that runs directly on the CPU is the same given the same compiler optimizations.

For one my online accounts I had multiple ways to authenticate the login process. ”If you forget your password, use your passkey”. Okay, so SMS was one of the options and it was selected for me, by default, since they had my number. But, I removed it from the list and chose a 2FA Authenticator app, instead. So, no SMS recovery for me, whenever my accounts offer alternatives.

Happy Disability Pride Month to all who celebrate.

For a lot of us, in various States around the world, we've seen an increasing hostility towards those of us who are not "typically abled". This has been going on for many years, but this year in particular seems to have been...a lot.

I know, I know - every month is a different "pride" month! yes, it's tiring, yes, it's a bit much....it's even a different flag!

____

Yes, it's because there are so many marginalised groups.

None of us are free until all of us are free.

It ain't the most perfect summary of it, but it's a good start:

Together, we're sending a clear message to Australia's biggest banks: stop funding fracking in the NT and protect water, country and climate.

But to ramp up the pressure, we need more people to join us. The more of us who speak up, the harder it is for the banks to ignore.

So people have said the problem with Kikes converting to Christianity is the fake converts

But I would suggest there is a simple test for that

As long as Israel continues to persecute Christians

If a Jew says they converted to Christianity or are a Messianic Jewish believer in Jesus but they support zionism or what is currently called the State of Israel then they are a fake convert
