So Bluesky is about to require people to verify their age, which means sharing their real identity. I’ve no problem with people knowing my identity but then I’m not trying to hide from abusers. Or explore my gender. Or be a whistleblower. Or protest without getting arrested. Or or or… there are so many reasons people need anonymity.

@northernlights @firstprimate so far all Carney has done was cave to the US, and he will continue to do so because he has failed to provide any actual plan of how to replace the trade with US.

He has no negotiation position because Canada is far more dependent on US for trade than the other way around.

To credibly push back and defend Canadian interests would require having a plan to diversify trade. An obvious move would be to start dialogue with China.

Her English-speaking guides (the whole video is conducted in English) are very good. Officially, Iran is an Islamic country with many restrictions, but many people have little interest in the religion and the restrictions, especially young people. People comply more in public but often in private people ignore the restrictions all the time. There is a difference between the government and the politics and the regular people. The video has very good music.

@claralistensprechen5th In my area, sweet cherries come from the San Joaquin Valley. Right now, they are bountiful and cheap, in some stores well under $3/lb. Walmart has them for about $5/lb. Despite ICE raids they are still being picked.🤔
Not sure where Oregon cherries are sold.
Markets in those places will have a hard time.
