Don't Take Instruction On How To Live Your Life From A Stark Raving Mad Society

Fear Mongering Gov. Newsom Warns Californians About July Heat: ‘Have a Heat Plan.’

I mean, it just doesn't make sense that Trump would promise to expose the Epstein coverup only to later on realize that "oh yeah, I fucked kids on his island too!". What would explain everything is that the big revelation that had him back down had to do with Epstein's Mossad connections.

I guess it is possible that some Jew recently reached out to him saying "you know that big-titty 18 year old you banged a few years ago? Yeah, turns out she was actually 15, so you better Shut It Down goyim!", but I'd still consider that the less likely explanation.

I can definitely have the demo of Enigma Heart (encompassing the first act of the game) done in time for Steam Next Fest. In fact, not only is it doable, it's inevitable.

The full game by November 10th, I'm not so sure about. Doable? Still yes. Inevitable? Eeeeehhhh... little shakier on that.

I might consider early access as a failsafe by that point. Demo: first act. Early access: launch with the first two acts. Each update is the next act of the game. In EA no more than six months.

I picked up a Lemon Drop Melon.

The texture is like a Watermelon, and it tastes like a mix between a Cantaloupe and a Honey Dew with a little bit of Citrusy Lemon flavor in there.

Most importantly, give the users an easy way to share what they create with each other. This is something Smalltalk never got right, but something like PICO-8 does perfectly.

This is, fundamentally, a machine about creating new things. It has neither the interest nor ability to be what everyone already has. It's about a new generation of people who are actually interested in computers and what they can do.

Anyone who buys this thing already has a tablet or a phone or a laptop that handles all their conventional stuff. That means you are free to offer them something those devices can't offer, don't want to offer, in fact actively hate: freedom to create.

Anyway. That's what I would do. That's what I would build: a modern machine that takes the best parts of retrocomputing and applies them to current tech.

Squeak is awesome, and for this mythical machine, you'd just need to port the VM, but if that was too heavy, there is also...this, which I think will appeal to the aesthetic you are going for, as well as the horsepower (depending on CPU chosen of course). It's a ground-up implementation of ST-80 from the original bluebook spec, written in C++ and SDL for the graphics:

In the fridge this should keep 2-3 months especially if you follow safe practices like sanitizing the jar and lid for storage

If the crisp is submerged in oil, cooked thoroughly till dry and crispy, and it’s stored in the fridge the risk of botulism is extremely low.

You are correct that it’s not 0 though. Tbf it never is. To make it safer and extend shelf life you can add an acid at the end like 1-2tbsp black vinegar or rice vinegar after cooking. This will adjust pH enough to inhibit botulism spores further but again the risk still isn’t 0

We are looking for an investor who can loan our holding company 237,000 US dollars.

With this money, we will open a farm in Baku, Azerbaijan to produce animal-based food.

We will also make our own animal feed, so our products will be healthier, better quality, and cheaper.

Because we sell quality products for less and have strong advertising, we will sell more worldwide and make big profits.

Why Azerbaijan? Because animal farming makes a lot of money there, but few people do it. That’s why we will earn more by starting in Azerbaijan.

Additionally, by producing our own animal feed, we will be able to sell healthier, higher quality animal products at a lower price.

Since we can sell quality products cheaply and thanks to our strong advertising network, we will be able to sell more internationally and make huge profits.

The reason for establishing the business in Azerbaijan is that animal husbandry is a very profitable business in Azerbaijan, but since there are very few people doing animal husbandry, establishing the farm in Azerbaijan will provide us with more income.

Your profit:

You will lend 237,000 US dollars to our holding company and when 22.03.2026 comes, you will receive your money back as 953,000 US dollars.

Your earnings will be great. When 22.03.2026 comes, you will get your money back as 953.00 US dollars.

You will lend 237,000 US dollars to our holding company and when 22.03.2026 comes, you will receive your money back as 953,000 US dollars.

When 22.03.2026 comes, I will give you back your money in the amount of 953,000 US dollars.

That means you will earn 716,000 US dollars profit in just 9 months.

If you like this project and want to loan us money, message me on WhatsApp or Telegram for more details.

Hihi! Lety here, auto-commenting from my main account (which doesn't have a 🔕 icon)!

This is how my PeerTube videos look on other Fediverse platforms!

Remotely interact with this video using an account on an ActivityPub-powered platform like Mastodon Social! Just click the “Add comment...” box under any PeerTube video and enter your Fedi handle in the pop-up. That’ll direct you to the federated post for that video on whatever platform you use.

Or, if you’re already logged in on Mastodon or wherever you're seeing this message, just look at the post I’m responding to!

Replies and favorites on that post show up as comments and likes on PeerTube, and following the account that posted it subscribes you to my videos.

Heads up, though! While some platforms might allow you to respond with custom emojis, gifs, images, polls, and reactions, most of that fancy stuff won’t show up correctly on PeerTube. The same goes for any edits you might want to make to your response unless you delete & re-draft.

If you already know all this or are tired of seeing this wall of text, you can hide these explanation posts by going to your account preferences and creating a new filter with the title and keyword “#LetyDoesPeerTubeExplainer” and all context boxes checked.

Thanks so much for watching! ⚡⚡⚡

The Epstein case is important because it implodes the fiction of deep divisions between Democrats, who had no more interest in releasing the Epstein files than Trump, and the Republicans. They belong to the same club.

It exposes how the courts and law enforcement agencies collude to shield powerful figures who are accountable to no one, violate, plunder, loot and prey on the weak and the vulnerable.

That’s fair. One thing I myself feel I would want is modern computer with all bells and shit we have today that also has that ease of exploring and toying with things as C64 had. I mean I would not mind being able to open terminal window with BASIC and writing some incantation would allow me draw stuff over the current screen without learning what is window handle, message loop and context. You know what I mean.

Did you know? Lemmy instances with *key instances!

In case you've been interested in wading into microblogging and didn't feel like Mastodon was your thing, the Lemmy instance you're on might have a *key instance to check out!

I'm posting to you from Sharkey World, Lemmy World's Sharkey instance. However I was surprised to find that Programming Dev has an Iceshrimp instance over at Bytes. Meanwhile I first learned of Blahaj Zone from their Sharkey instance awhile before they spun up their lemmy instance.

One of the cool features of each of these is that even if you're not into microblogging, they also basically have a blogging feature built in alongside it in the form of a Pages feature. Prefer the long form? Write there and then easily turn around and share it with a microblog post.

Are there any other Lemmy instances out there running *key instances? Mention'em in the comments!

@VeSpectagles I wouldn't make myself dependent on whether the *key instance is by the same admins as the lemmy instance. The *key softwares are generally recommended if you want a lot of functions and a modern interface. I particularly like the Antennas / News Pickers, with which the content can be structured very well according to your own search terms (a kind of topic-specific timelines). The interaction with Lemmy also works well.
There is an instance list for #Sharkey and #Iceshrimp instances here

THE POLITICAL MATRIX SUSTAINS THE ILLUSION OF FREEDOM

“When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience, and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; culture-death is a clear possibility.”

Remember, what you’re being electronically fed by those in power is meant to pacify, distract, and control you.

Fifth, be wise and realize that there is power in numbers. Networks, coalitions, and movements can accomplish much—especially if their objectives are focused, practical and nonviolent—and they are very much feared by government authorities.

Sixth, as always, change must start with “we the people.”

in reply to MMA 🇺🇸💄

I’ve always advised people to think nationally but act locally. Yet it can be hard to make a difference locally when the local government is as deaf, dumb and blind to the needs of its constituents as the national government.

Seventh, local towns, cities and states can nullify or say “no” to federal laws that violate the rights and freedoms of the citizenry. When and if you see such federal laws passed, gather your coalition of citizens and demand that your local town council nullify such laws.

in reply to MMA 🇺🇸💄

If enough towns and cities across the country would speak truth to power in this way, we might see some positive movement from the federal governmental machine.

Clearly, it’s time to clean house at all levels of government.

We have been saddled with the wreckage of a government at all levels that no longer represents the citizenry, serves the citizenry, or is accountable to the citizenry.

“We the people” are not the masters anymore.

in reply to MMA 🇺🇸💄

It doesn’t matter whether you’re talking about the federal government, state governments, or local governing bodies: at all ends of the spectrum and every point in between, a shift has taken place.

“We the people” are not being seen, heard or valued.

We no longer count for much of anything beyond an occasional electoral vote and as a source of income for the government’s ever-burgeoning financial needs.

in reply to MMA 🇺🇸💄

Everything happening at the national level is playing out at the local level, as well: the violence, the militarization, the intolerance, the lopsided governance, and an uneasy awareness that the citizenry have no say in how their communities are being governed.

So, what’s the answer?

For starters, stop tolerating corruption, graft, intolerance, greed, incompetence, ineptitude, militarism, lawlessness, ignorance, brutality, deceit, collusion, corpulence, bureaucracy, immorality, depravity,

in reply to MMA 🇺🇸💄

censorship, cruelty, violence, mediocrity, and tyranny. These are the hallmarks of an institution that is rotten through and through.

Stop holding your nose in order to block out the stench of a rotting institution.

Stop letting the government and its agents treat you like a servant or a slave.

You’ve got rights. We’ve all got rights. This is our country. This is our government. No one can take it away from us unless we make it easy for them.

in reply to MMA 🇺🇸💄

You’ve got a better chance of making your displeasure seen and felt and heard within your own community. But it will take perseverance and unity and a commitment to finding common ground with your fellow citizens.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, we’re making it way too easy for the police state to take over.

So, stop being an accessory to the murder of the American republic.

Making your bed is, at best, a performative waste of time...

... And at worst, actively making your bedroom less functional and more cumbersome to use. The arguments I hear in favor of it are completely asinine and I will address them one by one.

  1. It makes it more comfortable to sleep in.

I have absolutely no idea where that comes from. Do you all sleep like Dracula? My bedding is usually tussled about within minutes of me laying in bed. Blankets balled up for knee support, one leg sticking out for temperature venting. I couldn't imagine sliding under the covers and laying perfectly supine like Vladimir Lenin.

  1. It doesn't take much time, so you might as well do it.

I find any task not worth my time to be a waste, so unless it has a purpose, it is actively infuriating to do.

  1. It looks nice. And an unmade bed looks lazy

Given that this is an entirely subjective reason, I can't exactly "disagree" with it. But if there was someone I trust enough to be in my bedroom, I'm not going to waste my time convincing you that I do not, in fact, sleep in my bed.

Not to mention that if you want to nap or even sit on the end of the bed, you have to make it again. It is an incredibly unstable artwork, making me avoid using my bed unless I really need to.

If you make your bed, I have no judgment for you. Just like people who fold designs into the ends of their toilet paper. I couldn't imagine caring about something like that, but it literally doesn't affect me at all, so go nuts.

But I think we should be honest and call it what it is: some kind of shameful cleaning ritual that is probably some vestigial military chore, and I want nothing to do with it.

in reply to srasmus

I had no idea people past my grandmother's generation still felt compelled to make their bed... I thought we had collectively grown past the compulsion to do pointless tasks like this, along with other wastes of time like manually wiping the dishes or ironing everything including the dish cloth. Maybe that's just me, though.

(I'm not talking about doing it if you want to because you like it, only about the expectation that you should be doing it no matter what.)
