similar thing happened to me with Linux Mint where it corrupted the boot or something like that, from an update that went out of order because I hadn't installed the last one but it found the most recent one. It messed it up so bad I had to like, manually fix my windows boot.

so much has changed in the past year-18 months, and I really just don’t find the boys interesting anymore. As more and more people wake up and are hungry for deep understanding of current events I have found increasingly better analysis on other podcasts, while they continue to hide their lack of depth under a trite ‘media deconstruction’ fig leaf.
The format is also wearing thin. Previously the donation segment made you feel like you were a part of a small but important tribe, and second half of show used to be fun. But now 40% of a three hour podcast is just them droning on, dunking on supporters and bitching about donations it has become a recursive loop that’s just ponderous now.
I’m thankful for their previous years of work, especially as a voice of sanity prior to and during Covidiocy, but I truly think the world has moved on. TYFY(past)C, but it’s time to head to pasture.

That's the other problem. "Modern" means "regular new desktop machine with GPU and fuck battery-powered small devices or old computers: send them to the landfill".
If it breaks things I do on my desktop machine and will consume more resources on battery-powered machines, the cost of switching is non-trivial, and there is zero benefit as far as I can tell, then fuck what Gnome wants to do to hose Linux.

@nyanide @adiz If you're running your TV on AMD/Nvidia hardware through HDMI, you should know that support for 4k60fps is lacking apparently due to proprietary licensing by HDMI.
Try doing it on DVI. If it works, it's HDMI being limited by licensing
