Having a good thought framework also seems to matter a lot, once I worked out how to think critically in a proper that sped a lot of learning up. Now I don't have to really think twice about most miscellanous things, they're all actually really similar. Humans are not as diverse as we think lol.

Also I want to add the combat is functional and competent... I just did a horde boss with multiple "just run around and dodge projectiles" interludes so I don't want to give it too much credit, but the dodge feels great, you can parry even without a shield and the parry has the right effect. It has this stuff tight and proper that Wuchang does not.
Walls are real in this game too. (Also if you turn on leveled weapons you can find +10 weapons in the world once you are high enough level so you don't have to worry about slab bullshit.)
They have modifiers to randomize enemies, loot, increase the spawns to the pre-nerfed, complained about excessive, and even turn off four different levels of bonfires if you're deranged.
Also while the game removing bonfires sounds horrid, there is a mechanic where you can create a temporary bonfire using a consumable at specific spots and they put these spots... MOSTLY always where you'd think having something would be helpful and more often a few times more than that, and quite often just a few corners from an actual bonfire. Almost every boss runback can be a couple seconds if you use one of them.
I gave up on noscript years ago when more and more websites would break unless I allowed dozens of different domains for each, it became too much of a pain to manage. What's the point if you're forced to allow it for the page to load anyway? But it has been years, so maybe noscript has evolved to compensate for that?
