I'm the second type, but I extended it to literally every relevant piece of knowledge in my life. So now I'm trying to fix my entirely rotten foundation from school.

Shockingly, it's actually going pretty well. Turns out the human brain gets better at handling information the more diverse high quality info you provide. Deep diving into niche topics seems worse than just getting a robust foundation and then generalizing.

Having a good thought framework also seems to matter a lot, once I worked out how to think critically in a proper that sped a lot of learning up. Now I don't have to really think twice about most miscellanous things, they're all actually really similar. Humans are not as diverse as we think lol.

Did you see this @tiddlywinkler?

Holy shit! The EGR systems that create vacuum leaks in modern vehicles and unnecessary complexity are going BYE BYE!

Two nice things nu-LotF has: Since the world has some branching paths and forks you should return to later, it highlights the warp points where you still have an unexplored lead for story advancement. Not enough to clear the obnoxious Soulsian side quests, of course, but enough to get you to end credits.

And they patched in guiding butterflies to give you a hint where the next checkpoint is

Microsoft bans LibreOffice developer's account without warning, rejects appeal

Recently, we reported on LibreOffice, accusing Microsoft of intentionally using complex file formats as a tactic to lock in users to Microsoft Office, hindering open source alternatives like LibreOffice.
Now, Microsoft has banned LibreOffice developer, Mike Kaganski, from using its services, citing an "activity that violates [its] Services Agreement".

According to Mike, this happened last Monday when he tried to send a technical email to the LibreOffice dev mailing list, which is a normal part of his routine, but Thunderbird returned an error saying the message couldn't be sent. His account was blocked upon retry, and he found himself completely logged out of his Microsoft account.....

I would never send my children to such a shithole, and our family ideologies are such that we will work to help others become aware of what Brown is. Full stop. This isnt education, and learners shouldn't go here.

We can find education elsewhere. America has lost its prestige, and many professors, scientists, and people of quality are leaving for other better, more stable, less fascist countries anyway. #generalaction now!

So the CEO of one of BlackStone's real estate subsidiaries, Wesley LePatner, was gunned down in a workplace shooting.
\
LePatner was in charge of a $56B fund that has been reported to be part of BlackStone's strategic mass purchasing of homes.
\
The press & cops seem to be working double time to make sure this isn't seen by the average Joe as some sort of Luigi moment.
\

The cops claim the assailant was lost and killed the wrong CEO

I'm having trouble finding the words to talk about the people who are scurrying around lying and manipulating to excuse the deliberate starvation of civilians in Gaza today. "Evil" doesn't cut it. "Monster" and "psychopath" are too kind.

How do these people live with themselves? They have to live each and every moment of their lives inside the sort of brain that would produce this kind of behavior. I sincerely cannot imagine living life in that way, for even one day.

Israel supporters are so shockingly, venomously evil that it makes you stop and re-evaluate everything you think you know about humanity. Every spiritual, philosophical and psychological insight you've arrived at over the course of your life will struggle to make sense of the freakish, gratuitous sadism you'll witness in Israel's apologists describing their own thoughts in their own words. It actually makes you question your entire worldview.
