Στον αρχικό σχεδιασμό του εξωφύλλου, στο επάνω δεξιά τμήμα της σελίδας, υπήρχε η εξής φράση του Ομέρ Μπαρτόβ, διακεκριμένου Ισραηλινού ιστορικού που ειδικεύεται στο Ολοκαύτωμα και τις μελέτες γενοκτονίας: «Τον αντισημιτισμό τον προκαλεί το ίδιο το Ισραήλ». Αυτό το σχέδιο της πρώτης σελίδας δημοσίευσαν και οι περισσότερες ιστοσελίδες που παρουσιάζουν τα εξώφυλλα εφημερίδων.

Στο εξώφυλλο που παρουσιάζει όμως η εφημερίδα στη δική της ιστοσελίδα αλλά και σε pdf που έχουν εταιρείες αποδελτιωσης, το συγκεκριμένο θέμα έχει αφαιρεθεί τελείως από την πρώτη σελίδα και στη θέση του τοποθετήθηκε ένα θέμα για τα θαλάσσια πάρκα.

Η αρχική σελίδα τυπώθηκε και κυκλοφόρησε και το θέμα υπάρχει στις εσωτερικές σελίδες, τουλάχιστον στην πρώτη έκδοση της εφημερίδας. Ύστερα όμως μπορούμε να υποθέσουμε ότι άρχισαν να χτυπάνε τα τηλέφωνα στο γραφείο της διεύθυνσης.

I've tried yet another temp setup since it seems even the surge function on the UPS is dead. I can't really promise much until tomorrow. Seems I may have also had the primary ISP drop, so we're running on the backup which is slow. I wish I could promise more and better, but none of the local options are fiscally viable, so hang tight till tomorrow.

Dans cet épisode de la VAR politique, Nabil Touati s'intéresse au plan d'austérité de François Bayrou, révélant ses contradictions et la panne d'idées du gouvernement.

Alors qu'il annonce des coupes dans les dépenses sociales, la VAR le confronte à ses déclarations passées où il jugeait ces mêmes mesures "injustes et inefficaces", notamment sur les franchises médicales.

Son plan d'austérité épargne, à ce stade, les plus riches pour frapper les plus modestes. Pourtant, en 2011, il reprochait au plan de François Fillon son "déséquilibre", affirmant qu'il fallait "demander aux plus favorisés [...] de faire un effort particulier" pour "protéger" ceux qui peuvent "moins".

La chronique pointe aussi des similitudes troublantes entre les mesures d'austérité du gouvernement et les propositions d'un éditorialiste très médiatisé. Que ce soit la suppression de jours fériés, qui fait écho à une idée de Christophe Barbier, l'attaque de la 5ème semaine de congés payés ou la fin des 35 heures, le gouvernement donne l’impression de s'inspirer du débat médiatique.

La VAR montre ainsi un copier-coller quasi parfait entre un édito de Christophe Barbier et le discours de François Bayrou.

The #crow came to the village a few days before Old Man Wetherby died. It followed him around like a pet, cawing occasionally. It sat by his side when he passed. After he was buried, the crow settled in on the roof of the old church ruin, and we’d see it now and again. We didn’t think much of it.

A few weeks later, the crow befriended Auntie Blue. She was ill and often lonely, so welcomed the company. They became inseparable. But three days later, Blue died.

People began to whisper and wonder - did the crow bring death? Or maybe it just sensed death. After all, Wetherby had been very old and Blue’s health had been poor for a long time. Maybe the crow just... smelled that the end of life was near. Couldn’t some dogs do that?

I was walking home from work one day when I saw the crow fly by. “Hey, Crow! People are saying that you see death coming. Or maybe that you bring it. What do you say to that?”

It landed on a bench to my left and cawed loudly. I stopped to admire the beautiful creature that it was, sleek black feathers and an intelligent look in its eye. I didn’t see the bus coming.
