You may think anti-vaxers like me are annoying enough. But please give me credit for never being so barmy as to become an anti-dishwasherer.
The anti-dishwasherers are way worse than the anti-vaxers for a whole host of reasons. So far they seem to be flying under the radar of the authorities, and no one in a position of power has taken them on to expose their nonsensical rhetoric.
The idea is that dishwashers are behind the current rise in neurological disorders. This is so ludicrous that I am starting to have rows with the guests who come to stay with us and who refuse to put their dishes in the dishwasher for health reasons.
‘Please do NOT wash up!’ reads the makeshift sign I have fixed above the kitchen sink. It instructs our B&B guests to leave their dirty dishes on the side, which sounds ridiculous.

Background: Air Canada decided to skirt labour laws by saying that flight attendants aren't on the clock until the plane leaves the runway. This, combined with the fact that the contractual pay did not keep up with inflation, has led to a strike against the company, well-known for being abusive and dismissive towards employees and customers alike.
12 hours after the strike began, the Liberal government, known well for sucking off Air Canada's fuel line, declared that forced arbitration would need to be done.
The union saw that arbitration would, by its nature, favour Air Canada and fuck over their members, and said, 'No.' So good on them.
To those who've had their flights cancelled by Air Canada, remember that they legally have to reimburse you for a flight on another airline unless you accept another option, so don't accept a refund when the replacement might be more expensive.
And to all the governments who reward businesses for failing:
Please stop doing that. What you should be doing is setting up fallback solutions for when companies fail, because that's what companies do, they eventually shutter their doors or fold or wind up losing to the whims of the market, and one purpose of a working government is to ensure that there are methods to keep the collapse from crushing everything around it. Bailouts don't do that, they're a snooze button. Forced arbitration doesn't do that, that's going to just stoke the tinder of resentment among the labour class.
It is a welfare system just inside out, upside down. See how many industries wouldn't exist especially in the US if it wasn't for the government having them on the feeder line. Tax and spend! Defense industries, by 99% are pumped up by gov. Airlines, hi-tech, and any other large business threatened by unions ... Uncle Sam saves.

I was on a different airline on a routine 3 hour nonstop flight that turned into 12 hours that included 6 in the air and 6 on the ground at three airports.
That flight crew earned the full 12 hours of pay due to them - and there was no compensation for passengers because ... weather.
Flight crew should be paid for the entire time they are on the plane PLUS any waiting around before the plane shows up at the gate. If your employer requires you to be on site, they should be paying you the moment you set foot in the workplace.
Yet the CEO makes millions. Let’s try an experiment. Remove the CEO & see if the company still functions. Now remove the workers & see if the company still exists. I’m tired of corporations telling us the worker trying to survive is the problem not the shareholders or CEO.
