I've had a VPN running on my server via Wireguard for ages with no issues. A couple of weeks ago I finally got round to setting up Tailscale so I could access it remotely and again it worked fine without any issues. I rebooted my server this morning and while I was out I realised I could no longer access it, once I got home I discovered everything else was working fine it was just inaccessible over Tailscale.
After some troubleshooting I've come to the conclusion that if Tailscale starts first the other VPN's routing entries take priority and Tailscale doesn't work. If Tailscale starts second then it seems to work fine. As far as I can tell I have a few options for fixing this but I'm not sure what would be the most recommended. The simplest solution is probably just to disable Tailscale from autostarting and start it manually, however I'm likely to forget that at some point and will probably only notice when I'm out and can't access the server to start it.
If I add the following to the Wireguard config file this solves the issue: PostUp = ip route add 100.64.0.0/10 dev tailscale0 PostDown = ip route del 100.64.0.0/10 dev tailscale0 However in that case if the other VPN tries to start first it just fails as the tailscale0 interface doesn't exist yet, so all I've done is reverse the order I need them to start.
I could also edit the wireguard or tailscale service files with before or after targets, that would be fairly simple to do but I think its not recommended to manually edit package provided service files? The tailscale one specifically says its meant to be read only.
The final option I can think of is to disable the tailscale service on startup and then create a systemd timer to start the tailscale service with a slight delay after boot. I think this may be the best method as I can't see any downsides, but maybe I'm overlooking something?

Aux États-Unis et dans une grande partie de l’Occident, critiquer #Israël et manifester sa solidarité avec la Palestine est progressivement criminalisé, un projet défendu depuis longtemps par le gouvernement israélien et ses puissants réseaux de lobbying.
En février 2020, le dirigeant israélien et criminel de guerre recherché internationalement Benjamin #Netanyahu s’est fièrement vanté que Tel Aviv a “fait adopter des lois dans la plupart des États américains” pour punir ceux qui boycottent Israël, offrant ainsi un rare aperçu de l’influence étrangère qui érode la liberté d’expression au cœur même des États-Unis.
Depuis, les lois anti-boycott se sont discrètement répandues dans des dizaines d’États, obligeant les institutions publiques, les entreprises et même les entrepreneurs individuels à prêter allégeance à Israël, sous peine de perdre leur emploi, leurs contrats et leurs financements. Ce qui n’était au départ qu’une initiative marginale visant à protéger Tel-Aviv des critiques populaires s’est rapidement transformé en une attaque généralisée contre la liberté d’expression dans l’ensemble du monde occidental.

As #fires rage, #Israel has declared a national emergency. And it has requested assistance from other countries as it attempts to extinguish the rapidly spreading blazes. In fact, the Jerusalem District Fire Department Commander, Shmulik Friedman, said this was “perhaps the largest fire ever in the country.” Several neighbourhoods have been evacuated around Jerusalem. And the main highway was shutdown while many people abandoned their vehicles and fled on foot.
Unsurprisingly, notorious war criminal, Itamar #BenGvir, is blaming Palestinian Israelis for setting them. Even if this is true, these wildfires would never have taken off with this speed and ferocity unless there was something else going on.
Years ago, I read how the Jewish National Fund planted trees over the ruins of Palestinian villages following the #Nakba. Villages that had been violently emptied of their inhabitants by Zionist militias. It was a project that aimed to obscure the #ethnic-cleansing of #Palestine as well as prevent any chance of return for refugees, a right under international law.
But the #JNF did not plant indigenous trees. They planted trees they thought would look more European, severely impacting native biodiversity and increasing the risk of wildfires in an ever warming climate. And this underscores the ultimate failure of any colonial settler project. You cannot claim indigeneity and then attempt to expunge any trace of indigenous life from the land without grave consequences.
As fires consume parts of Israel, it continues to reign death down on #Gaza. Tens of thousands of civilians, including thousands of children, have been buried under rubble, blown apart and burned to death. Millions face starvation imposed by Israel. Gaza has been turned into a graveyard. So, it may be difficult to muster up any sympathy for the perpetrator as it battles these wildfires.
One could only hope that more Israelis would make the connection. That they would see and understand the consequences of decades of ethnic cleansing, #apartheid and now #genocide. The colonial settler project has always been built on lies. And deadly ones. Even the land understands this.
