La rapporteure des Nations Unies pour les territoires palestiniens occupés, vient d’accuser les responsables de l’UE, dont la présidente de la Commission européenne Ursula von der Leyen, de complicité de crimes de guerre et crimes contre l’humanité pour leur soutien à Israël dans son génocide à Gaza.

« Je ne suis pas quelqu’un qui dit : L’histoire les jugera – ils devront être jugés avant cette date. Et ils devront comprendre que l’immunité ne peut être assimilée à l’impunité » , a déclaré Francesca Albanese dans une interview à Intercept.

Une plainte contre le Leyen, le président de la Commission européenne, a été déposée devant la Cour pénale internationale en mai dernier pour complicité de crimes de guerre et de crimes contre l’humanité à Gaza. Il ne faut pas en rester là.

Au-delà de l’obligation de rendre des comptes concernant les dirigeants de l’UE, Francesca Albanese a indiqué qu’elle travaillait sur un rapport qui exposerait les banques, les fonds de pension, les entreprises de technologie et les universités pour complicité dans la destruction de Gaza.

« Toutes les personnes impliquées dans l’occupation illégale, en lui fournissant un appui, aident et encouragent les violations du droit international et les violations des droits de l’homme, et un certain nombre d’entre elles constituent des crimes », a-t-elle déclaré.

« Il peut y avoir une responsabilité individuelle pour ceux qui ont aidé et encouragé ou rendu possible ces crimes », a affirmé courageusement la rapporteure des Nations Unies qu’Israël n’a toujours pas réussi à dégommer, et qui fait face à des menaces de mort.

« Ma sécurité est devenue moins sûre depuis que j’ai présenté mon rapport « Anatomie du génocide », a déclaré Francesca Albanese. « J’ai reçu des appels au milieu de la nuit pour moi, les membres de ma famille, mes enfants. Bien sûr, je prends des précautions, j’ai une protection. Mais en même temps, je ne me laisserai pas paralyser à cause de ces techniques de type mafieux ».

The UN Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territories has just accused EU officials, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, of complicity in war crimes and crimes against humanity for their support of Israel's genocide in Gaza.

"I'm not someone who says: 'History will judge them—they must be judged before then. And they must understand that immunity cannot be equated with impunity," Francesca Albanese said in an interview with the Intercept.

A complaint against von der Leyen, the European Commission President, was filed with the International Criminal Court last May for complicity in war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. It must not stop there.

Beyond holding EU leaders to account, Francesca Albanese indicated that she was working on a report that would expose banks, pension funds, technology companies, and universities for complicity in the destruction of Gaza.

"All those involved in the illegal occupation, by providing support to it, are aiding and abetting violations of international law and human rights abuses, and several of these constitute crimes," she said.

"There can be individual accountability for those who aided and abetted or enabled these crimes," courageously asserted the UN rapporteur, whom Israel has still not managed to oust and who is facing death threats.

"My safety has become less secure since I presented my report, 'Anatomy of Genocide,'" said Francesca Albanese. "I have received calls in the middle of the night for myself, my family members, my children. Of course, I take precautions, I have protection. But at the same time, I won't let myself be paralyzed by these mafia-style techniques."

"I come from a place that taught me that the mafia kills by silence," she said. "It kills when people don't react. That's why I'm so motivated in what I do and I will continue," the UN rapporteur concluded.

I love it how the steam era just never ends. From steam as turbine driver to steam as easily piped process heat, steam isn't going away soon.

Favourite bit is how gas turbines generating electricity can increase output by recovering heat from exhaust gases to drive a steam turbine – Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT). IIRC, there's an aluminium plant in WA that splits the steam between running a turbine and providing process heat, as required.

But did you know that Schleyer was a former SS officer? A fact often ignored in the historical narrative. Schleyer’s aggressive anti-communist views, his history with the Nazi Party, and later his position as a prominent member of the right-wing Christian Democratic Union made him one of the main enemies of the 1968 student movement and a target for the RAF’s kidnapping operation. The RAF used Schleyer to blackmail the West German government into releasing imprisoned RAF members, including two of its founders, Andreas Baader and Gudrun Ensslin. After all the imprisoned members were found dead in their jail cells, Schleyer was killed by the RAF. Early in his life, Schleyer became an enthusiastic Nazi follower and quickly rose in the ranks of the Nazi Party. After being held as a prisoner of war following the defeat of Nazi Germany, Schleyer was released in 1948 and became one of the most influential German businessmen. He was simultaneously president of the Confederation of German Employers’ Association and the Federation of German Industries. I tried it about a week ago but since i have zero interest in alternatives to systemd or gui tools I find its easy to just install something that uses the things i want by default.

If you enjoy having that extea option and managing it with gui tools then im glad mx works for you, but it seems overcomplicated with no practical benefit to me.

What can sysv do that systemd cant anyway?
