NASA has chosen three winners out of nine finalists in the fourth annual Power to Explore Challenge, a national writing competition designed to teach K-12 students about the enabling power of radioisotopes for space exploration.

The essay competition asked students to learn about NASA’s radioisotope power systems (RPS), likened to “nuclear batteries,” which the agency has used discover “moonquakes” on Earth’s Moon and study some of the most extreme of the more than 891 moons in the solar system. In 275 words or less, students dreamed up a unique exploration mission of one of these moons and described their own power to achieve their mission goals.
“I’m so impressed by the creativity and knowledge of our Power to Explore winners,” said Carl Sandifer II, program manager of the Radioisotope Power Systems Program at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.
Entries were split into three groups based on grade level, and a winner was chosen from each. The three winners, each accompanied by a guardian, are invited to NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland for a VIP tour of its world-class research facilities this summer.
The winners are:
“Congratulations to the amazing champions and all of the participants! Your “super powers” inspire me and make me even more optimistic about the future of America’s leadership in space,” Sandifer said.
The Power to Explore Challenge offered students the opportunity to learn about space power, celebrate their own strengths, and interact with NASA’s diverse workforce. This year’s contest received nearly 2,051 submitted entries from all 50 states, U.S. territories, and the Department of Defense Education Activity overseas.
Every student who submitted an entry received a digital certificate and an invitation to the Power Up virtual event held on March 21. There, NASA announced the 45 national semifinalists, and students learned about what powers the NASA workforce.
Additionally, the national semifinalists received a NASA RPS prize pack.
NASA announced three finalists in each age group (nine total) on April 23. Finalists were invited to discuss their mission concepts with a NASA scientist or engineer during an exclusive virtual event.
The challenge is funded by the Radioisotope Power Systems Program Office in NASA’s Science Mission Directorate and administered by Future Engineers under a Small Business Innovation Research phase III contract. This task is managed by the NASA Tournament Lab, a part of the Prizes, Challenges, and Crowdsourcing Program in NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate.

Film seyreder gibi okudum desem hiç de mübalağa etmiş sayılmam sanırım.
Çetin, yalnız ve kimsesiz bir çocuk olmasına karşın, kendisine uzanan iyi niyetli ellere bile tahammül edemeyecek bir duruma gelmiştir. Onun olağanüstü sabrı, azmi ve güçlü iradesiyle kendi ayakları üstünde durup hayatını tek başına idame etme gayreti, kararlılığı, dolayısıyla içler acısı hikâyesi filmlere konu olacak niteliktedir. Çetin, hemen hemen gittiği her yerde itip kakılıyor, hor gürülüyor. Sırf Alman bir annenin çocuğu olduğundan dolayı, gittiği birçok yerde, “sünnetsiz,” özellikle de “gavur,” sözcüğüyle ötekileştiriliyor.
(Bu gavur sözcüğü, oldum olası beni de rahatsız etmiştir ve romanıma da konu olmuştur: Diaspora / Remzi’nin Çilesi Ölünce Biter 4 / Nitekim, tekçi zihniyete olduğu kadar, ötekileştirmeye de dikkat çeken Atilla hoca bana gönderdiği bu güzel kitaba, çok anlamlı bir imza atmıştı: İskan Kardeşime. Çocuklarımızın Ötekileştirilmemesi Umuduyla. Evet, Atilla hocam bu kitabı bana imzalayıp göndermişti sağolasın. Kitap postayla geldiği gün, Almanca kitaplarımı ilgiyle okuyan bir Alman arkadaş alıp gitmişti. Geçenlerde geri getirirken, raflarda unuturum diye; ilk fırsatta okumak üzere çalışma masama bırakmış ve hoş bir sohbete dalmıştık:
“Romanı okudum ve çok beğendim,” deyince, Atilla hocayı, eserlerini uzun uzun anlattım ona. Nitekim, Atilla hocanın birçok kitabını okumuştum ve en son bir solukta okuduğum Dağcılar’ı (Atilla Kesin, 1968’i, THKO’yu ve Deniz’leri Anlatıyor) da anlattım ona. Kitap, Can Dündar ile yaptığı uzun bir röportaj/söyleşiden oluşuyor. Unutmadan belirteyim: Dağcılar’ı anlattıktan sonra, Deniz’in Ütopyası (Almanca versiyonu: Deniz Utopie) adlı romanımı betimlerken, Atilla hocanın bana çok yardımcı olduğunu da vurguladım.)
Kısacası filmlik bir hikâye, senaryo niteliğinde bir romandır: Sarı-Kırmızı Boyalı Kayık.
Roman bana, 12 Eylül 1980 Askeri darbesini, seksenli yılların başında Almanya’daki iltica olgusunu, o yoğun göçü, doksanlı yıllarda yakılan köyleri vs. vs. hatırlattı.
Roman, İstanbul varoşlardaki tinerci çocukların trajik yaşantılarını hatırlatmakla başlıyor aslında. Balıkçı Fuat’ın, soğuk bir havada kısa kollu tişört ile tiner koklayan Çetin’e iyi niyetli yaklaşımı ve verdiği güven ile onu himaye edişini hayretler içinde okudum.
Çetin, hiç geçinemeyen, hep kavga eden ve ayrılan ebeveynlerinin bir kurbanıdır aslında. İstanbul’da binlerce kimsesiz, yetim çocuk gibi sokaklara düşmüştür. İyi niyetli balıkçı Fuat ile karşılaşmazsa başına daha neler neler gelecektir, kim bilir? Ve asıl macera bundan sonra başlıyor. Ülkü Öğretmen ile küçük, masum Berfin’in ve Yalçın Öğretmen ile Çetin’in diyaloğunu okurken ister istemez zaman kuyusuna dalıp gidiyor insan…
Çetin ile Berfin’in masum konuşmaları güldürüyor, düşündürüyor ve bazen de gözleri yaşartacak kadar da acı, hüzün veriyor insana.
Aslında bu roman iki dillidir: Türkçe ve Almanca bir aradadır. Bu değerli çalışmalarından dolayı hem yazarı, hem çevirmeni, hem de InterKultur e. V. ve FREE PEN ■ VERLAG’ı, dolayısıyla emeği geçen herkesi kutluyorum!..
Nitekim, böylesine güzel betimlenmiş romanlar vardır elbette, ama, deneyimli 68 kuşağı, olan, enternasyonal devrimci Atilla Keskin hocanın kattığı lezzet bir başkadır bence:

Denizlerin 18 Yoldaşına idam cezası verilmişti ve daha sonra idamlar elenmiş, 3’e indirgenmişti. Ve bugün 6 Mayıs. Dünyayı daha güzel yaşanılır kılmak için ölüm pahasına mücadele eden Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin İnan ve Yusuf Aslan’ın idam edildiği, ölümsüzleştiği gün. Haksız yere idam edilen Deniz’i, Yusuf’u, Hüseyin’i saygıyla anıyorum!..
Ve enternasyonal biri daha yıldızlara karıştı. On sekiz gündür şifa duaları ettiğimiz, birçok kimliğe sahip olan, o değerli insan, Sırrı Süreyya Önder kaldığı hastanede yaşamını yitirdi, maalesef. Sevenleri çoktu, o da herkesi seviyordu. Başta ailesi olmak üzere, bütün sevenlerinin başı sağolsun!.. Nur içinde yatsın!.. Yıldızlar yoldaşı olsun!..

I'd certainly love it to last longer, as while it's usable, it's just barely so - but PP has so many other disadvantages I just don't see battery life in suspend as a deciding factor. If anything, that would be its price.

Bir süredir sürdürülen Maraş Soykırımı’na ilişkin gerçekleri çarpıtma faaliyetleri, her fırsatta devam ettiriliyor. Cümleler ve kelimeler değişiyor, ancak gerçeği tahrif etme çabaları değişmiyor. Geliştirilen sözde iddiaya göre, mealen, “Maraş Katliamı’na dair bugüne kadar, mağdurlar başta olmak üzere Aleviler, demokratik kurum ve çevreler yapılması gerekenleri yapmamış, yapamamışlar; yaptıkları bazı şeyleri de hep yanlış yapmışlardır. O nedenle her şeye yeniden başlanması gerekiyor” deniyor.
Bol laf kalabalığı ve birkaç yabancı kelimeyle süslenince, bir şey söylenmiş gibi bir görüntü verilmiş olunuyor.
Sözde iddia ve eleştiriler, hiçbir gerçekliğe dayanmadıkları gibi, yapılması önerilen hiçbir somut çözüm de içermemektedir. Çünkü burada amaç, Maraş Soykırımı konusunda açığa çıkmış olan gerçeklere olan güveni sarsmak ve bu gerçekleri bulandırmaktır. Hal böyle olunca, ne gerçeğe dayanmak ne de çözüme yönelmek gerekmektedir.
Tabii bunları kimin, nerede söylediği önemlidir. Ancak bu yanlışların kim tarafından ve nasıl söylendiği daha da önemlidir. Çünkü sorun kişilerde değil, yanlış görüşlerdedir. Bu nedenle belirtilen sözde iddia ve eleştirileri yakından incelemek, sorumluluk adına gereklidir.
2- VAHŞET ANLATIMINA DAİR
Sözde eleştirilerin yoğunlaştırıldığı alanlardan birisi, “Maraş Katliamı’nın sadece vahşet üzerinden anlatıldığı” iddiası üzerine konumlandırılmıştır.
Öncelikle bir kıyımın kim veya hangi zihniyetle anlatıldığı önemlidir. Soykırımcı politikalara karşı çıkmayan, devrimci-demokratik olmayan bir zihniyetin kıyım anlatımının, dinleyicilerde veya izleyicilerde direniş isteği yaratması beklenemez. Bu tür anlatımları ve anlatıcıları konumuzun dışında tutarak, tartışılması gereken sözde eleştirilere bakmak gerekiyor.Buna rağmen elbette vahşet boyutuyla da anlatılmıştır ki anlatılması da gereklidir. Çünkü vahşet, “toplu insan kıyımlarının” ayırt edici özelliğidir. O nedenle halklara ve toplumlara yaşatılan katliamlar ve soykırımlar, vahşetin en yoğun uygulandığı kanlı operasyonlardır. Dolayısıyla sözde eleştirilerin yanlışlığının anlaşılabilmesi için vahşet ile toplu insan kıyımları arasındaki, belirtilen kopmaz ilişkinin bilince çıkartılması gerekiyor.
“Toplu insan kıyımları”nda uygulanan vahşet, sadece yaptıklarından zevk alan, kontrolsüz öfke ve nefretle hareket eden sadist katliamcıların kişisel özelliklerinden kaynaklanmamaktadır.
Böyle olmasının birinci nedeni, soykırımlarda ve katliamlarda hedef kitleyi fiziken yok etmeyi amaçlayan vahşetin, soykırımcı politikanın gereği olarak, örgütlü ve sistemli biçimde, tercih edilerek ve birçok özel biçimi geliştirilerek uygulanmasıdır. İkinci olarak, sınırsız, kuralsız, ağır, kalıcı ve unutulmaz izler bırakan vahşet uygulamalarıyla soykırımcı yapı, hedef kitlenin kalanlarına korku salmak, onları sindirmek, iradesini kırmak ve direnemez hâle getirmek istemektedir.
Dolayısıyla katliamlarda ve soykırımlarda, katliamcı mekanizmanın uyguladığı vahşet, tek başına vahşet değildir. Vahşet, söz konusu soykırımcı yapının, istediği sonucu elde edebilmek ve aynı zamanda egemenlik üretmek amacıyla uyguladığı bir şiddet yöntemidir.
Bu gerçeği iyi bilen katliamcı/soykırımcılar, yapılan “toplu insan kıyımının” politik bir amaç taşıdığını ve bu nedenle vahşetin her biçiminin kullanıldığını gizlemek istemişlerdir. Tam da bu nedenle, katliamcı/soykırımcılar, yaptıkları kanlı “toplu insan kıyımlarını” vahşetten kopartarak “olay” olarak tanımlamışlardır. Türk devletinin yaptığı bütün soykırımları “Ermeni olayları”, “Dersim olayları”, “Maraş olayları” vb. olarak adlandırması, basit ve sıradan bir yaklaşımın değil, bu temel politikanın sonucudur. Bu durumda doğal olarak “olay”a ilişkin toplumsal ve siyasal tepkiler, sıradanlaştırılarak söndürülmek veya bastırılmak istenmiştir.
Öyle olduğu içindir ki herhangi bir “olayın” hikâyesinde vahşet ya yaşanmamıştır ya da yaşanan vahşet daha az anlatılır. Çünkü daha çok kişisel, sosyo-ekonomik amaçlarla sınırlı olan “olay”larda vahşet, mutlaka olması gereken bir şart değildir. Buna karşın, hiçbir katliam veya soykırım vahşetsiz gerçekleştirilemez; vahşetin olmadığı bir katliam ve soykırım söz konusu olamaz.
Bu durumda, herhangi bir katliamda ve soykırımda vahşetin yaşatılması nasıl kişisel bir tercih değilse, vahşetin anlatılması da kişisel bir tercih olarak görülemez. Tam tersine, herhangi bir katliamın ve soykırımın en doğru ve gerçek anlatımı, ancak ve ancak yapılan vahşetin anlatılmasıyla mümkün olur. Katliam ve soykırım gibi toplu yok etme uygulamalarına karşı gerçek anlamda bir duyarlılık, ancak bu şekilde yaratılabilir. Öte yandan, vahşetin anlatılmadığı bir toplu insan kıyımı, devletin dayattığı jargona uygun olarak bir “olay”a indirgenmiş olacaktır. Dolayısıyla vahşetin anlatılmaması, soykırımlara ve katliamlara karşı duyarlılığı zayıflatacaktır.
Bütün bunlardan sonra, Maraş Soykırımı’ndaki vahşetin anlatılmış olmasından hareketle, “sadece vahşet üzerinden bir anlatım” yapıldığını ileri sürmek, gerçeklere sırt çeviren ve katliamcı politikalara karşı mücadeleyi zayıflatan bir tutumdur. Yapılan bir soykırımdır ve elbette vahşet bütün ayrıntılarıyla anlatılmalıdır. Çünkü soykırımlarda ve katliamlarda yaşatılan vahşetin anlatılması, soykırımlara karşı mücadelenin olmazsa olmaz argümanı ve her katliam karşıtının yapması gereken en önemli görevi ve sorumluluğudur. Bu gerçekleri anlatmamak veya anlatılmasını basitleştirmek, hafife almak katliam karşıtlığına hizmet etmez.
Hatta daha etkili ve kalıcı olarak anlatılabilmesi için bütün sanat alanları değerlendirilerek romanı, hikâyesi yazılmalı; görselleri, filmleri yapılabilmelidir.
a) “Edilgen bir ruh haliyle, pasif bir şikâyet içinde”
Sözde eleştiride, “Maraş Katliamı’nın… edilgen bir ruh haliyle, pasif bir şikâyet içinde anlatıldığı” belirtilmektedir.
Doğal olarak, Maraş kıyımını anlatan herkes adına genel bir belirleme yapılması doğru olmayacaktır. Ancak devrimci-demokrat çevrelerin ve demokrat Alevi kurumların yaptığı ya da katıldığı Maraş Soykırımı’na karşı etkinlikler, genel olarak “edilgen bir ruh haliyle, pasif bir şikâyet içinde” değil; katliamcı soykırımcı mekanizmayı teşhir eden ve hesap sorma bilincini diri tutan bir ruh haliyle yapılmıştır, yapılmaktadır.
Yıllardır sürdürülen katliam karşıtı etkinlikler, katliamcı-soykırımcı politikalara karşı bir direniş olarak ele alınmış ve öyle yaşanmıştır. O nedenledir ki yapılan etkinliklerin hemen hepsi çatışmalarla, gözaltılarla ve engellemelerle karşılanmıştır. Sivas’ta anma etkinliklerinin yapılabilmesinin ne tür mücadelelerle sağlandığı unutulmamıştır. Maraş’ta her yıl dönümünde yapılmak istenen anma etkinliklerinin nasıl engellendiği de bilinmektedir.
Bütün bunlara rağmen anma etkinliklerini sıradanlaştırarak anlatmak, hem insanların acılarına karşı özensiz bir yaklaşım hem de soykırımlara karşı mücadeleye zarar veren bir tutumdur. Öte yandan bu anma ve kınama etkinlikleri, “edilgen bir ruh haliyle, pasif bir şikâyet içinde” yapıldıkları için mi devlet tarafından engellenmektedir? Öyle olmadığı, tam tersine bu etkinliklerle hesap sorma bilincinin güncellendiği ve geleceğe taşındığı, bu nedenle devletin engellemeye çalıştığı ortadadır.
O nedenle bilinsin ki bu anma etkinlikleri her zaman ve mutlaka yapılacaktır; çünkü soykırımcılardan hesap sormaya giden yolun ilk adımı bu anma etkinlikleridir.
Buna rağmen bu sözde eleştiriyi yapan; her şeyi kendisiyle başlatmak isteyen, kendisinden önce olanları yok sayan, gerçekleri görmezden gelen, daha doğrusu görünmez kılmak isteyen bir yaklaşıma sahiptir. Bu yaklaşımın, kitlelerin katliam karşıtı bilincini bulandırmaktan başka hiçbir işlevi olmayacaktır. Ayrıca bu yaklaşımla, vahşet anlatımlarını dinleyen kitlenin duyarsız ve edilgen insanlar olarak gösterilmesi de halkı tanımayan, halka güvenmeyen, halkı mücadele öznesi olarak görmeyen ve halka zerrece saygı duymayan sorunlu bir tutumdur.
b) “Vahşet öykü ve resimleriyle doldurulmuş kitle”
Söz konusu eleştirilerin birisinde, “Vahşet öyküleri ve resimleriyle dolmuş olan kitle” diye bir ifade kullanılarak, kitlelere vahşeti anlatmanın fazlalığı, dolayısıyla gereksizliği ifade edilmektedir. Bu ifadeye göre, katliam karşıtı kitle amiyane tabirle “dolduruşa” gelebilen iradesiz bir yığın; vahşeti anlatmak ise kendisi olamamış insan yığınını harekete geçirecek bir motivasyon aracı olarak tanımlanmaktadır.
En başında belirtmek gerekir ki ne kitleler “dolduruşa” getirilebilecek kuru kalabalıklardır, ne de “vahşet öyküleri ve resimleri” toplumun boşluğunu dolduracak nesnelerdir. O “vahşet öyküleri ve resimleri” denilerek basitleştirilerek anlatılan öyküler ve görseller, katliamda katledilen insanların öyküleri ve resimleridir. Onlar, insan olarak inançlarına ve kimliklerine sahip çıktıkları için; genç, yaşlı, bebek, çocuk, hasta ve kadın demeden katledildiler. Onları unutmamak; bunun için resimleri ve öyküleri tarihe ve topluma kaydetmek, ertelenemez bir insanlık görevidir. Bunun yapılmasını bu şekilde değerlendirmek, herhalde katliam karşıtlığına katkı sunmaz.
Bir soykırımda katledilen bu insanlara bu kadar saygısızca yaklaşabilmek bu kadar kolay olmamalıdır. Katliam karşıtı görünerek aynı anda bu ifadeleri yazabilmek iki türlü mümkün olabilir: Ya büyük bir oyunculuk yeteneği kullanılmaktadır ya da büyük bir cehalet söz konusudur. Ancak her durumda katliam mağduru ve katliam karşıtı kitle, bu özensizliği kabul etmeyecektir.
Öte yandan insanlık adına bugün sahip olunan ve yarın kazanılacak olan tüm hakların tamamı, “vahşet öyküleri ve resimleriyle dolmuş olan kitleler”in eseridir.
c) “Dram toplayıcılığı” ve “dram yüklemeleri”
Benzer bir sözde eleştiri, katledilen insanların öykülerine ilişkin bilgilerin toplanmasına ve anlatılmasına dair geliştirilmek istenmiştir. Bu anlamda vahşet bilgilerini toplamak “dram toplayıcılığı”, bunları anlatmak da “dram yüklemeleri” olarak ifade edilmiştir. Burada anlatılanın daha anlaşılır hâli şudur: Deniyor ki, katliamın vahşetine ilişkin bilgileri toplayarak “dram toplayıcılığı”, bunları anlatarak “dram yüklemeleri” yapmak, katliam karşıtı mücadeleye hiçbir katkısı olmayan, anlamsız ve gereksiz bir uğraştır.
Sosyal-siyasal hayattan ve somut gerçeklerden kopuk, iç sızlatan bu sözde eleştirileri okudukça insanın tüyleri ürpermektedir. “Çöp toplayıcılığı” der gibi “dram toplayıcılığı” demek veya “kontör yüklemeleri” der gibi “dram yüklemeleri” demek… Ne demek sahiden?
O “toplanan ve yüklenen dramlarda” anlatılan hayatlar, bu topraklarda yaşamış ve söz konusu kıyımda katledilmiş insanların hayatlarıdır. Bu sözde eleştiriyi yapanlar için hiçbir şey ifade etmiyor olabilirler ama onlar, sevdiklerinin göz bebeği, çocuklarının yaslandığı dağ, annelerinin öpmeye kıyamadığı çiçekleriydi.
Onlar, bu coğrafyanın kadim halklarına yaşatılan en büyük, en unutulmaz kıyımlardan birisi olan Maraş kıyımında katledilen insanların acılarının ifadesidirler. İnsanlara, insanlığa ve halklara yaşatılmış bu acılara karşı nasıl bu kadar hoyrat olunabilmektedir?
Halbuki yıllardan beri, hem katliam mağdurları hem de katliam karşıtı kitleler ve kurumlar, “dram toplayıcılığı” ve “dram yüklemeleri” yapmadan ama acılarını, her durumda ve ortamda paylaşarak ve öfkesine yükleyerek soykırımlara ve katliamlara karşı kararlı bir direniş sürdürmüşlerdir.
Son olarak belirtilmelidir ki soykırımlarda ve katliamlarda yaşananlar zaten en büyük dramdır; ayrıca bunları kurgu ile “dramatize etmek” gerekmez. Söz konusu iddiayı ileri sürmek, gerçeklere ne kadar uzak olunduğunu açıkça göstermektedir.
d) Vahşetin anlatılması direnişi reddetmek midir?
Aynı sözde eleştiride, “Maraş Katliamı’nın… direniş boyutunun anlatılmadığı, böylece kıyımlara karşı duyarlılığın pasifize edildiği” şeklinde bir iddia geliştirilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Bir başka yerde benzer eleştiri mealen, “vahşetin anlatılmasının direnişin anlatılmasını zayıflattığı” ve bir “sızlanma” hâli yarattığı ileri sürülmektedir.
Her üç sözde iddia da hem yanlış hem de kıyım ve soykırımlara karşı Alevi ve demokratik-devrimci kurumların ve kamuoyunun yaptıklarını hiçleştiren, sürdürülen mücadeleyi küçümseyen, yaratılan duyarlılığı hafife alan bir tutumdur.
Birincisi, devrimci demokratik çevrelerin katıldığı bütün etkinliklerde, Maraş Soykırımı’na karşı geliştirilen direniş, ısrarla ve örnek gösterilerek anlatılmaktadır. İkincisi, vahşetin anlatılması kıyımlara karşı duyarlılığı pasifize etmez, direnişin anlatılmasını zayıflatmaz. Tersine, vahşetin anlatımı direnişin anlamını ve gerekliliğini ortaya koyan en güçlü argümandır. Üçüncüsü, vahşetin anlatılmasının “sızlanma” olarak gösterilmesi somut gerçekliğe uygun değildir.
Çünkü vahşeti dinleyenler, kıyım mağdurları ve devrimci-demokratik güçler; Kürtler, Aleviler yıllardan beri hem vahşeti anlatmakta hem de kıyımlara karşı kararlı bir mücadele sürdürmektedirler. Aynı şekilde, bu iddia masum da değildir. Çünkü Alevilerin ve devrimci demokratik güçlerin yarattığı değerlerin görünmesini engellemeye çalışan bir manipülasyon yapılmaktadır.
Öte yandan, kıyımların hesabını direnişçiler olarak bu kitleler soracaklardır. Vahşete maruz kalanlar, öfkelerini kuşanarak, en doğal savunma refleksleriyle, en somut biçimde direnen insanlardır. Ve bu insanlar, vahşeti anlatırken aynı zamanda direnişlerini de anlatmakta ve direnişin anlamının kavranmasına büyük katkı sağlamaktadırlar. Dolayısıyla bu sözde eleştiri, gerçeği ters yüz eden, ayakları yere basmayan, uçuk ama aynı zamanda zararlı bir eleştiri olarak görülmeli ve mahkûm edilmelidir.
Görüldüğü gibi, katliamlarda ve soykırımlarda halklara yaşatılan vahşetin anlatılmasını; düzey, içerik ve biçim olarak doğru bulmayan anlayışın hiçbir argümanı ikna edici değildir.
Ayrıca tarihsel yaşanmışlıklara bakılarak bu sözde iddiaların çarpıklığını anlamak mümkündür. Dünyanın neresinde olursa olsun, yapılan katliam ve soykırımlarda insanlara ve toplumlara yapılan vahşet, sadece dönemsel olarak değil, bütün tarihsel süreç boyunca ve her araç/yöntem kullanılarak anlatılmıştır. Ermeniler, kendilerine yaşatılan soykırımın vahşetini dünya halklarına aktarmak için sayısız eser üretmişlerdir. Yahudiler, kendilerine yaşatılan soykırımın vahşetinin insanlığın hafızasında silinmeyecek şekilde iz bırakması için her türlü fedakârlığı ve çabayı ortaya koymuşlardır.
İnsanlara ders olması için, soykırımın yapıldığı toplama kampları müze yapılmış; çeşitli anıtlar yapılmış, tablolar çizilmiş, romanlar yazılmış, binlerce doküman üretilmiştir. Kürdistan’da öz savunma eylemleri döneminde evlerde bulunan insanların yakılarak katledilmelerinin belgeseli, romanı, hikâyesi boşuna mı yazılıyor? Bu mantıkla, “iyi ki yapılmış” denilmesi gereken, soykırımları ve katliamları anlatan her eser, her çalışma gereksiz ve anlamsız olacaktır. Tek başına bu gerçeklik, vahşetin neden anlatılması gerektiğinin anlaşılması için yeterlidir.
e) Kıyımları anmak ve vahşeti anlatmak, “aşılması gereken bir gelenek” değildir
Yapılan sözde eleştiriye göre, anma etkinliklerinin yapılması ve vahşetin anlatılması, “aşılması, kırılması gereken bir gelenek” olarak sunulmaktadır. Oysa katliamları ve soykırımları anma etkinlikleri ile bu etkinliklerde gerek tanıkların anlattıkları, gerekse yapılan değerlendirmeler; “aşılması gereken” bir gelenek değil, istikrarla ve ısrarla sürdürülmesi zorunlu olan ve hesaplaşmanın başka yöntem ve biçimlerini dışlamayan bir anlatım biçimidir.
Aynı şekilde, anma etkinliklerinin “Mağdurların sadece diğer mağdurlarla karşılaştığı geleneksel anma ve hatırlama biçimleri” olarak tanımlanması da başlı başına sorunlu bir yaklaşımdır. Burada hafife alınarak basit bir karşılaşmaya indirgenen anma etkinlikleri, her şeyden önce soykırımcı politikalara karşı mücadelenin kitleselleştirilmesini sağlayan bir araç olarak işlev görmektedir. Ayrıca bu an’lar, hem mağdurların hem demokratik kamuoyunun hayatının en unutulmaz acılarının yaşandığı an’ların hatırlanmasıdır. Hatırlamak, hatırlatmak; acıları tekrar tekrar yaşamak ve yaşatmak, direnişin bir diğer biçimidir.
Buna rağmen vahşetin anlatımının, hesaplaşmaktan vazgeçilmek gibi sunulması ve anma etkinliklerinin aşılmasının önerilmesi, bir yanda gerçeğin çarpıtılması; bir yandan da toplumsal mücadeleye zarar veren fantastik bir yaklaşımdır.
f) Yeni kuşaklar ne diyor
Vahşet anlatımının “yeni kuşakların ilgi ve alakasını giderek zayıflattığı” belirtilmektedir. Bu argüman da doğru değildir. Vahşetin anlatılması, katliamın veya soykırımın anlaşılmasını sağlayacak en önemli verilerden birisi olduğu, çeşitli yönleriyle belirtilmiştir.
Ancak dünyanın her tarafında, katliam, soykırım ve savaş haberleriyle büyüyen; oyunlarında bile en çok savaş araçlarını kullanan yeni kuşakların genel bir sorun olan ilgisizliğinin, kendilerini ve geleceklerini ilgilendiren bir tarihsel yaşanmışlıkla ilgili anlatılanları dinlemekten rahatsız olmasının birçok nedeninden söz edilebilir. Ancak Maraş kıyımında yaşanan vahşetin anlatılmasının, yeni kuşakların ilgisizliğine yol açtığını ileri sürmek, diğer iddialarda olduğu gibi gerçekle hiçbir yakınlığı olmayan bir iddia olur.
Böyle anlamsız iddiaların yerine, savaş haberlerine itiraz edilmesi daha doğru olurdu.
Şu ifadeler, Maraş soykırımını yaşamış mağdurların güya ruh hâlini anlattıklarını sanan iddia sahibine aittir: “Mağdurlar hâlâ Türkiye toplumuna sesleniyor… Sesimizi duyan var mı? diye soruyor. Sözünün muhatabındaki karşılığını arıyor.” Bu cümleyle mağdurların çaresizliği anlatılmaktadır.
Bu ifadeyle Maraş kıyımı yalnızca mağdurların sorunuymuş gibi sunulmakta; katliam mağdurları ise sorunlarını çözmekten aciz, bir köşeye sinmiş, etkisiz ve edilgen bir topluluk gibi gösterilmektedir. Katliama maruz bırakılmış olan Türk-Kürt Alevi kitlesini bu durumda görmek ve göstermek yalnızca gerçek dışı değildir, aynı zamanda kitlelere tepeden bakan ve hiçbir sorunun çözümüne hizmet etmeyen bir yaklaşımdır.
Birincisi, katliam ve soykırım karşıtı mücadele sadece ve tek başına katliam mağdurlarının sorunu değildir. Çünkü bu mesele, iki karşıt grubun kavgası veya intikam alması sorunu değildir. Yapılan toplu insan kıyımı, soykırımcı bir politikanın sonucudur ve sorun politiktir. O nedenle gerek katliam döneminde, gerekse bugüne kadar olan süreçte Türkiye ve Kürdistanlı Alevi toplumu ve halklar, söz konusu kıyımı kendilerine yapılmış bir kıyım olarak kabul etmişlerdir. Buna karşı mücadeleyi de asli görevleri olarak benimsemişlerdir.
Bu gerçek o kadar açık ve barizdir ki Maraş kıyımına ilişkin, Türkiye ve Kürdistan’ın her tarafında yaşayan Aleviler her yıl anma etkinlikleri düzenlemektedir. Doğru olan da budur. Elbette daha fazlasının yapılması gerekmektedir. Ancak daha fazlasını yapmak, kişilerin eksantrik sihirli formülleriyle veya fantezileriyle olmamaktadır. Daha fazlasını yapabilmek, toplumsal ve siyasal hayatın mücadele dinamikleri tarafından belirlenecektir.
Öte yandan, katledilen toplumun büyük çoğunluğu hem katliam öncesinde hem katliam döneminde hem de sonrasında, ülkedeki politik mücadelenin en aktif ve en dinamik unsuru olarak bu mücadelenin içinde yer almıştır, almaktadır. Katliam mağduru insanlar, onların çocukları ve torunları, Türkiye ve Kürdistan’da faaliyet yürüten bütün anti-faşist, demokratik kurumların tamamında mücadelenin asli özneleri olarak yer almaktadır.
Hem geniş anlamda Aleviler ve Kürtler olarak hem de dar anlamda Maraşlı Aleviler olarak, mağdur toplumun çok büyük bir kısmı katliamcı sisteme ve politikalara karşı mücadele etmektedir. Demokratik Alevi kurumlarının temel kitlesinin Maraş, Malatya ve Dersim halklarından oluşması da bunun sonucudur.
Bu düşünce, iddia ve eleştirileri yapan “Alevisever” Alevilerin önüne “başka anlatma ve hatırlama biçimlerini bulma” görevini koymuş. Elbette bu büyük tespiti yaptığı ve Alevilere böyle bir yol gösterdiği için büyük bir minnettarlığı hak ettiğini düşünüyor olmalıdır.
İyi de bu göreve ilişkin olarak neden bugüne kadar yapılmamış, düşünülmemiş orijinal bir proje veya yol haritası sunulmuyor? Neden “şu olursa soykırımcı politikalarla hesaplaşma gerçekleşir ve bir daha soykırım yapılamaz” denilerek bir öneri geliştirilmiyor? Çünkü bu eleştirileri yapanın düşünsel dünyasında orijinal hiçbir proje ve öneri yok da ondan. Bütün yapılan, en kolay yapılabilendir; o da yapılmış olanları hiçleştirmek, yok saymaya çalışmaktır.
Maraş kıyımının hesabının sorulamamış olması, bu sözde eleştirilerin çıkış noktası olarak düşünülmüşse, bu da ortada büyük bir öngörüsüzlüğün olduğunu gösterir. Bilindiği gibi —ve ne yazık ki— bu topraklarda 1915 Ermeni Soykırımı dahil, yapılan hiçbir soykırımın ve katliamın hesabı henüz sorulamamıştır. Bu durumda halkları suçlayarak sorunu izah etmeye çalışmak, apolitik bir yaklaşımın ifadesi olabilir ancak. Çünkü hesap sormak, uzun vadeli bir mücadelenin sonunda kazanılacak olan politik bir güç sorunudur. Kimsenin kuşkusu olmasın: Aleviler dün nasıl yapılanlara karşı direnmişlerse, bugün de direneceklerdir.
Tarihleri boyunca toplumsal yaşamları mücadelelerle geçen Aleviler, ne yapacaklarını bir “Alevisever”den öğrenmeye gerek görmeyecek kadar bilgi ve tecrübe sahibidirler. Üstelik masa başında, klavye tuşlarıyla mücadeleye yol yordam çizmek, en başında kibirli bir bakış açısının ifadesidir. Bunun için mücadelenin her biçimine ve her yöntemine hazır olmak ve her bedeli göze almak gerekmektedir. Bu durumda “Alevisever” için en iyisi, gölge etmemesi olacaktır. Şundan emin olmak gerekir ki Alevi toplumu ve Alevi kurumları ile bütün demokratik kurumlar, Alevileri böyle “Alevisever”lerden koruyacaktır.
Son bir nokta: Bu eleştirileri yapan, vahşetin anlatılmasından neden bu kadar rahatsız oluyor? Vahşeti yapanların bundan rahatsız olması anlaşılır da, vahşet karşıtı olduğunu ileri süren ve yıllar boyunca devletin sunduğu konforlu ortamlarda “liberal solculuk” yapan birisinin, vahşetin anlatılmasından rahatsız olması izaha muhtaç bir durum değil midir?

At the same time, trying to undermine the party from within, capitalist propaganda endeavours to persuade the workers that they can do without their own party.
