Quotes

  • Otto Kuusinen: As long as the working class wages only an economic struggle, the bourgeoisie does not see in that any great danger for itself; but when the working class organises politically, i.e., creates a political party which expresses its will as a class, the bourgeoisie begins seriously to fear for its rule. That is why reaction deals its main blows against the political party of the working class. At the same time, trying to undermine the party from within, capitalist propaganda endeavours to persuade the workers that they can do without their own party. One of the manifestations of bourgeois influence on the working class is the anarchist and anarcho-syndicalist denial of the leading role of a political party.

  • Marjori Palmer: One of the most morale-damaging aspects of the inflation was the "sack of Germany" that occurred at the height of the (1923) inflation. Anyone who possessed dollars or sterling was king in Germany. A few American dollars would allow a man to live like a millionaire. Foreigners swarmed into the country, buying up family treasures, estates, jewelry and art works at unbelievable low prices.
  • Lionel Robbins: It was the most colossal thing of its kind in history: and next probably to the Great War itself, it must bear responsibility for many of the political and economic difficulties of our generation. It destroyed the wealth of the more solid elements of German society: and left behind a moral and economic disequilibrium, a breeding ground for the disasters which have followed. Hitler is the foster child of the inflation.
  • Lenin: There is no trace of utopianism in Marx, in the sense that he made up or invented a 'new' society. No, he studied the birth of the new society out of the old, and the forms of transition from the latter to the former, as a natural-historical process. He examined the actual experience of a proletarian mass movement and tried to draw practical lessons from it.
  • Che Guevara: Many will call me an adventurer - and that I am, only one of a different sort: one of those who risks his skin to prove his platitudes.

Greece: Arson Attacks on the Homes of New Democracy Politician and Cop

Claiming responsibility for the arson attacks on the homes of ND MP M. Charakopoulos and cop G. Meidanis

We take responsibility for the double attack with low-power incendiary devices at dawn 14/05/25 at the entrances of the apartment buildings where New Democracy MP Maximos Charakopoulos and the uniformed garbage of the Hellenic Police Yiannis Meidanis reside.

Our moves were not at all random as they are a first sign of aggressive solidarity with the arrested for the events at the DAP-NDFK event in the Law School. Our attack was decided to take place a few weeks later. Nevertheless, we deemed it necessary to speed it up due to the events, redefining the climate of fear with which Chrysochoidis wants to imbue us in good cooperation with the media and return the fear to the eyes of those who need to prosper. Because for every raid you make at the homes of comrades, we will also pay a visit to yours.

A very faint layer of light unites the political with the personal, it resembles the light that the twilight emitts in the early mornings, where you don’t know when the night ends and when the day begins, where the boundaries of one are confused within the boundaries of the other. Our twilight is the moment of explosions, where we gave the night its first colors in the hope that something new would dawn, there we united these two poles (political/personal) through action. But for us, the personal does not stop at the individual, but starts from it, it is not limited to its narrow logics but extends from it. We are not just individuals, we are what we stand for, the past has led us to the present and our present to the future. So we are our decisions, these gentlemen consciously decided to be on the side of the authoritarians and we consciously opposed. But what happens when your social roles suppress our individual and our collective evolution? Then the resistance comes, then the war begins. A thin thread unites us with the struggles of yesterday and we continue so that tomorrow’s struggles exist, that they have somewhere to stand in order to evolve.

So we start, one MP, the other a cop, one represents/exercises the executive power and the other imposes through repression the power of the respective political leadership. Together they compose two of the four pillars of the state apparatus (the other two legislative, propaganda) and the reasons for hitting these goals over time and perpetually are self-evident to us. Today, however, our reasons are concretized and analyzed in particular. Our strategic planning concerns the administration of justice to the crime of Tempi where our inner sense of justice has found you guilty and this is a first taste of your “punishment”. It is heard from here and there that you assigned the station master in his place, it is heard that you came to an understanding with your brother Agapios Charakopoulos, then director of the police department of Larissa, where he personally undertook the protection of the scene of the incident where he allowed the alteration of the crime scene and was promoted to brigadier general as a reward for his superiority in the cover-up of your government. You politically foster the criminals and continue to defend the line of your party unrepentantly. Doesn’t a lot come together, Maxime? They say that where there is smoke there is also fire and in yours there were certainly both. We heard you say that you couldn’t breathe, that you woke up from the smoke, the flames, and that you were afraid of getting hurt. What can the 57 people who were on the first train say? What can they say and those who will live with the nightmare of this night haunting them forever? With the smell of burnt flesh, with the image of the severed limbs forever engraved in their memory? What can parents say when they try to calm down but you and your stinking company will not allow them to do so? What can we say to all of us who know that we could have been on this train that night? We could because we recognize our economic class within this society.

You are pointing the finger at us and trumpeting that these do not fit into “Democracy”, that you are stronger, that all these delinquent and terrorist elements will be caught. In your democracy and that of your friends, there is no room for anything else because you have taken care of it, as you would not exist if you did not impose your social system and know it. That is why you have shielded this complex and seemingly impenetrable system of yours with the defenses of entanglement. After all, these mechanisms were evident from the first hours when you started weaving the cover-up plan. Should we talk about the editing of the dialogue between the station master and the train driver that was made from the first issue and promoted in all the mass propaganda media? About the compromised doors and the invisible camera optical materials? For fuel? About the right-wing findings of the think tank? For incomplete contracts while you were boldly questioning a security issue through the Minister of Transport Kostas Karamanlis? For rubbish? About prosecutors who sent parents to priests? All these and much more about your relevance in your effort to clean it up.

This murder is a state crime in a huge list of crimes, either in the field of wage slavery, such as the deaths of port workers who work for shipowners who cut millions, or in hospitals where health workers struggle with the minimum means to save lives that are lost as the NHS is increasingly understaffed, or crimes such as Pylos with its anti-immigrant death policies and the murders by the garbage of the Hellenic Police of immigrants in hellholes or out on the streets. All these are murders that revolve around the altar of profit and the survival of the powerful.

So the time has come to crush the bastards who oppress us with their political hegemony, those who reveal to us every day the most violent façade of institutionalized power. Audacious people and thieves like the whining Maximos who, throwing out stubborn humanist parties, speaks of “defending” weak citizens and thugs who poison society in an attempt to victimize. Your pitiful self-pity only causes us disgust, when you paved the way for the cover-up of the murder of the 57 in Tempi with your brother, we did not see your little ear sweating. You talk about terrorists and we will agree with you because for us it is an integral part of our action to return as much as possible to you the pain and violence that you have caused and to terrorize you until the final fall. Because the only true justification is the one that comes from the hands of the urban guerrillas.

The choice of the double attack states that our goal is not limited only to current affairs and the search for temporary leaders, but is part of the timeless pattern of counterattack against the state, capital and power. We become the direct attack, the armed hand that does not wait for it to be bitten in order to weaponize but strikes first if it deems it necessary. At the same time, we become the prevention and treatment of a sick reality by hitting each MP and his uniformed protector where they feel the most safe. The time has come for the anti-authoritarian movement to return as a threat in the public sphere with attacks of small or large power against the world of power. To stand up to our political identity. We respond to repressive barrages with incendiary measures and to state pressure with more on our part.

We are building in the here and now another world in rupture with the existing. Organized authoritarianism will always find us opposed to the protection of property and the monopoly of violence. The state is the best means of preserving private property, the system of injustice and inequality. It is the harmony of organic evolution that creates the variety of color and form. This is what we admire in the flower. The organized action of people who are connected to the spirit of solidarity so that at some point fear will change camp and one day it will cease to exist.

P.S.: We dedicate this action as a tribute to the people who recently lost their lives through their actions, choosing to walk in the paths of the urban guerrillas.

I'm generally not an audio book person but do enjoy them on long, solo drives. Last trip I listened to @pluralistic Red Team Blues. I very much enjoyed it and Will Wheaton's fantastic narration. I was looking forward to the next in the series, The Bezzle, for this trip. The wait list at my library was too long so I simply bought a copy directly from the website. No Amazon, so nice. I'm half way through and looking forward to the drive home to hear the rest. Recommend both.

The Price of Mobile Asphalt Plants: The Perfect Combination of Efficient Production and Intelligent Control

In the competitive world of road and bridge construction, efficiency and cost-effectiveness are crucial factors in determining the success of any project. One of the most valuable assets for construction companies is the mobile asphalt plant. These versatile machines offer an excellent solution for producing high-quality asphalt on-site, minimizing transportation costs, and ensuring a smooth production process. But beyond just functionality, the price of mobile asphalt plants has become a key consideration for many companies. By combining intelligent control technology with high-efficiency production capabilities, mobile asphalt plants are revolutionizing the way road construction is done.

The Mobile Asphalt Plant: A Cost-Effective Solution for Road Construction

The growing demand for mobile asphalt plants(planta asfaltica movil) in road and bridge construction projects stems from their ability to provide flexibility, efficiency, and reduced transportation costs. Unlike traditional stationary plants, mobile asphalt plants are designed to be portable, allowing them to be set up quickly and easily at various locations. This mobility is especially important for projects in remote or temporary locations where transporting asphalt from a distant fixed plant is not practical.

In addition to their portability, the mobile asphalt plant is equipped with advanced control systems that enable operators to monitor and adjust the production process in real-time. This combination of mobility and intelligent control makes these plants a preferred choice for many construction companies looking to reduce costs while maintaining high production standards.

Factors That Affect the Price of Mobile Asphalt Plants

When considering the price of a mobile asphalt plant, several factors come into play. The first consideration is the plant’s production capacity. Larger plants with higher production capabilities typically come with a higher price tag, as they are designed to meet the demands of larger projects. On the other hand, smaller plants, such as a small asphalt plant(planta de asfalto pequeña), may be more affordable and ideal for smaller projects or companies with limited budgets.

The type of technology integrated into the plant also affects its price. Modern mobile asphalt plants are equipped with intelligent control systems, which provide operators with enhanced monitoring and automation capabilities. These systems can adjust mixing times, temperatures, and other parameters based on real-time data, ensuring a consistent product with minimal waste. Plants equipped with such advanced technology often come at a premium price, but the investment can pay off in terms of improved productivity, reduced operational costs, and longer plant lifespan.

Comparing the Cost of Mobile Asphalt Plants to Traditional Asphalt Plants

When comparing the price of a mobile asphalt plant to that of a traditional, stationary asphalt plant, the initial cost of the mobile plant may be higher. However, the advantages offered by mobile plants can often outweigh the initial investment. For example, mobile asphalt plants can be transported between job sites, reducing the need for costly transportation of asphalt. This feature is especially beneficial for contractors working on projects located in remote areas or on highways with tight schedules.

Furthermore, mobile plants can be set up and disassembled quickly, reducing downtime and ensuring that projects stay on track. Traditional asphalt plants(planta asfáltica), by contrast, often require more time and effort to move between locations and may involve more extensive infrastructure costs. In the long term, the reduced logistics and setup time offered by mobile asphalt plants can contribute to cost savings that justify the higher upfront price.

The Role of Intelligent Control in Reducing Operating Costs

Intelligent control systems are one of the standout features of modern mobile asphalt plants. These systems allow for precise control over the production process, optimizing the use of materials, fuel, and energy. By continuously monitoring key parameters such as temperature, mixing time, and aggregate flow, the control system can adjust settings to ensure the most efficient use of resources. As a result, operating costs are reduced, and the production process becomes more streamlined.

Additionally, the data provided by intelligent control systems can be used for predictive maintenance, helping operators identify potential issues before they become major problems. This proactive approach to maintenance can extend the lifespan of the plant and prevent costly repairs, further reducing long-term operating expenses.

Why Invest in a Mobile Asphalt Plant?

While the price of a mobile asphalt plant may be higher than traditional stationary plants, the benefits it offers in terms of efficiency, mobility, and cost savings make it a worthwhile investment for many construction companies. With the ability to move between job sites, produce high-quality asphalt on-demand, and take advantage of intelligent control systems to reduce operational costs, mobile asphalt plants provide a strong return on investment.

For companies with smaller project scopes, a small asphalt plant may be a more budget-friendly option. These smaller units offer the same flexibility and control as their larger counterparts but at a lower price point. Whether investing in a large mobile asphalt plant for a major highway project or a small asphalt plant for local construction, the combination of mobility and intelligent technology provides a significant advantage in terms of cost and productivity.

Conclusion

The price of a mobile asphalt plant is influenced by several factors, including its production capacity, the level of technology integrated into the system, and the specific needs of the construction project. However, the combination of efficient production capabilities and intelligent control systems makes mobile asphalt plants an excellent choice for companies looking to improve their operations and reduce costs. Whether for large-scale projects or smaller, more localized construction work, mobile asphalt plants provide a flexible, cost-effective solution that can help contractors stay competitive and ensure high-quality results.

Nominee Directors: A Must-Know for Foreigners Setting Up in Singapore

For foreign business owners not based here, a nominee director is often the key to meeting this requirement. This article breaks down the role of nominee directors, when they're needed, and potential exemptions.

Singapore's business-friendly environment is a draw for global entrepreneurs, but one rule is non-negotiable: every company must have at least one local director who resides in Singapore. For foreign business owners not based here, a nominee director is often the key to meeting this requirement. This article breaks down the role of nominee directors, when they're needed, and potential exemptions.

What Is a Nominee Director?

Singapore law requires at least one director to be "ordinarily resident" in Singapore—meaning a citizen, permanent resident (PR), or holder of a valid work pass, such as an EntrePass or Employment Pass. If you're a foreign entrepreneur without a local presence, a nominee director is appointed to fulfill this legal obligation.

Nominee directors typically don't manage your business operations but are legally accountable for compliance. This is why secretarial services Singapore providers offering nominees use strict contracts and deposits to protect both parties from risks.

Who Needs a Nominee Director?

You'll likely need a nominee director if:

  • You're launching a company from outside Singapore.
  • You're not relocating or obtaining a Singapore work visa.
  • No team member is a Singapore resident eligible to serve as a director.

Corporate secretarial services can provide a nominee director and ensure your company stays compliant with local regulations.

Can Foreigners Serve as Directors?

Yes, if you live in Singapore with a valid work pass, such as:

  • EntrePass: For entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas.
  • Employment Pass (EP): For professionals, often used if you're employed by your own company.

With an approved pass, you can act as the local director, eliminating the need for a nominee. Ensure your visa is approved before assuming this role, as you cannot serve as the sole director without it.

Are There Exemptions?

Exemptions to the local director requirement are limited:

  • Local Co-Director: If a business partner or co-founder is a Singapore citizen or PR, they can serve as the local director.
  • Existing Work Pass: Foreigners in Singapore with a visa allowing business activities may qualify as the local director.
  • Foreign Subsidiaries: Subsidiaries of foreign companies still require a local individual director, as the parent company's residency doesn't count.

Corporate secretarial services can help navigate these exemptions and ensure compliance with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

Risks for Nominee Directors

Nominee directors face legal liabilities, including:

  • Failure to file annual returns
  • Trading while the company is insolvent
  • Involvement in fraudulent or illegal activities

To mitigate these risks, secretarial services Singapore providers use detailed agreements and deposits. Avoid appointing someone unfamiliar with these responsibilities to avoid legal complications.

How Corporate Secretarial Services Help

For foreign entrepreneurs, company secretarial services are essential, offering:

  • Nominee director appointments
  • Filing of mandatory compliance documents
  • Maintenance of statutory registers
  • Provision of a registered office address
  • Tracking of ACRA deadlines

These services ensure your company remains compliant, avoiding penalties and maintaining good standing.

Choosing a Nominee Director Provider

When selecting a service, prioritize:

  • Transparency: Ensure the agreement clearly outlines the nominee's role and liabilities.
  • Experience: Choose providers with a proven track record for reliability.
  • Control: Confirm the nominee has no access to your company's finances or decisions.

Conclusion

Singapore's local director rule is a critical compliance step for foreign entrepreneurs. By partnering with trusted secretarial services Singapore providers, you can appoint a nominee director and focus on growing your business while staying compliant in Singapore's thriving market.

@ryuuji Yeah, all manga adaptations of LNs are going to be a lot slower than the source, drawing pictures just takes a lot more time than writing a story. Though the tradeoff of seeing the characters do things in a manga format is pretty nice, plus there's always the occasional funny faces the characters can make.

I really need to get back into reading just plain text, school burned me out of reading long forms of text and quite a few manga adaptations of LNs I've read have gotten the axe over the years (pic related) :hoshino_weary:

At the same time, trying to undermine the party from within, capitalist propaganda endeavours to persuade the workers that they can do without their own party. oh Lord that reminds me of a story. i recently rented a dodge van to pick some solar panels up in illinois.

the gist of this story is that the car computer totally pwned my phone. i was not expecting this invasive malware to do what it did.

my android phone security has been sloppy. for example, in dev options, you can enable default USB behavior, and i had "file transfer" active. well here is a USB port next to the cigarette lighter port, so i assume it's just for charging. nope, it's connected to the computer. so right there, self-pwned. i automatically gave the car access to my files without prompting. (no idea if it did anything with them)

secondly, the bluetooth connection (and i am really disappointed in the default bluetooth security of lineage OS because of this) managed to slurp up all my contacts, seemingly without confirmation on the phone. all i did was pair the phone, thinking i was connecting to only a music device, and BAM it says "contacts downloaded successfully" totally owned again.

the car had a 4g mobile connection built in, so it could have easily sent all that data to anywhere it wants. i have no evidence that it did though, and i immediately went into the car computer and did "clear private data" and "forget device", and it did remove the contacts, however it's anyone's guess whether it kept them or uploaded them

from there i went into the bluetooth settings and restricted the car device to just audio. the shit thing is that by default it stole my contacts without confirmation on the phone side. i was royally pissed

so anyway don't be a dumbass like me and get owned by a car computer
