It is a front end for yt-dlp and ffmpeg. It isn't just a yt-dlp downloader; it's more like a utility app that does anything that I need. The "special" part about this software is probably the ability to download YouTube subtitles and then embed them into the audio file as synced lyrics. Well, that is the only "unique" thing about it. As I’m still quite new to programming, there may be some bugs, and I appreciate your understanding. I’m also learning how to package it as a deb/rpm and plan to dedicate time to this during the summer. For now, the only way to download it will be to build from source with the bash install script in my repo.

Sure, the metadata part is easily fixable with Picard MusicBrainz, but the quality downgrade was a huge no for me. Nowadays, I use nicotine, rutracker and private trackers to download FLAC quality files and transcode them to opus 192k to serve them in my Navidrome library with a well curated metadata structure !
Yes it takes way more time and some dedication but it's worth it 😀 specially If you are some kind of perfectionist and like everything neatly organized ! 😁

Wow really? Are you sure it applies to all audio files? YouTube gathers music records from different companies so they could be of varying quality. To me the opus quality from YouTube was always decent and personally I cannot hear any compression in the audio. The metada is not perfect, but I usually use some tag editor to complete what's missing. YTDLnis on Android does a great job of scraping as much usable metada from YouTube Music as possible.

Et où êtes-vous aujourd'hui chère Shannon ? Alors que l'on décompte plus de 50 000 morts et que 100% des Gazouis sont menacés d'une famine organisée par l'État génocidaire. Sur LCI Europe 1 BFMTV les journalistes se sont lancés dans de la désinformation en tentant de faire passer cette opération humanitaire pour un épisode de "la croisière s'amuse". Ils usent et abusent de cet élément de langage. Depuis le temps que les détracteurs et harceleurs de Rima Hassan lui disent "tu n'as qu'à y aller toi à Gaza" alors maintenant qu'elle le fait courageusement, malgré les multitudes de menaces de mort qu'elle reçoit, il fallait bien que des journalistes et editocrates trouvent d'autres mensonges puants pour l'attaquer. Tous ces négationnistes, niant à la fois la responsabilité d'Israël dans la crise humanitaire et le génocide en cours. D'ailleurs aucun d'entre eux n'est jamais aller à Gaza pour nous montrer à quel point "Israël est gentil avec les Palestiniens". Ils haïssent Rima Hassan et Greta Thunberg car elles les mettent face à leurs mensonges et leur lâcheté.
Hier, la Freedom Flotilla Coalition a répondu à l'appel de Frontex pour secourir une embarcation de 40 exilé·es fuyant la guerre au Soudan. Pour rappel le "média" Frontières a menacé des magistrats, des avocats, des associations, des migrants, des femmes et hommes politiques militant contre le génocide. Pourquoi s'attendre à ce que ses "journalistes" suprémacistes aient connaissance du Droit international et respectent les Droits humains ?

Greta Thunberg @gretathunberg has been kidnapped by the IDF on international waters! They do not own the Gaza strip by any legal standard, they are not allowed to decide who gets to dock or what they can or cannot bring. They are not the legal representation of Gaza, unless it is run as an open air prison.

I mean, they could have escorted and controlled the ship's unloading if they fear non-humanitarian goods reach Gaza. Would have made the point, IDF is willing to help the population - they proved the opposite.
@stekopf @benny @Moss_the_TeXie I think we can all agree that nobody expected weapons on that ship. It was a publicity stunt, not a smuggling operation.
That said, the idea of a blockade is to block any ships from reaching the blocked destination. If they start making exceptions for celebrity yachts, they can stop the blockade as a whole.
@AndiPopp how come a blockade is legal? Could any country just impose a blockade around Germany? Would you find that legal or okay? According to the United Nations, no shipment of humanitarian aid is allowed to be blocked to Gaza. Israel are the ones breaking international law here.
Breaking the rules of the blockade is an imperative and the only right action, by all global courts that is not a crime.
Even specifically the UN demanded a safe passage for the Freedom Flotilla with Greta Thunberg! This is not a stunt, no matter how many times you say it.
I am appalled by the reports of Palestinians killed and injured while seeking aid in Gaza yesterday. It is unacceptable that Palestinians are risking their lives for food.
1.) Sea blockades against Germany have been established in the past and I do think, they are considered legal by today's standards.
2.) The opinions about the legality of a blockade always differ, often depending on which side of the conflict you stand. That still does not make a ship being stopped by a blockade a kidnapping.
3.) The ship in question did not carry a significant amount of aid. It's not even big enough. This is why I consider it a publicity stunt.

@ahltorp 1) That is a play on semantics. A nation can be at war with a non-state actor – like e.g. in most civil wars. It is possible to enact a legal blockade against territories controlled by the non-state actor you are at war with.
2) It's not kidnapping the same way police taking smb to jail or a soldier taking somebody as a POW is not kidnapping. Not every case of smb forcing smb else to go somewhere is kidnapping.
