Got it working again with a replacement power adapter... but only with the secondary USB-C port in the dock connector, not the primary charging port.
The Thunderbolt firmware issue probably took out the main charging port. It doesn't work as a charger, but does work as a USB port and recognized the USB ethernet adapter I plugged in.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Israeli fighter jets are actually landing in and taking off from American bases in Iraq. It's hard to explain the scope and frequency of the attacks if these jets are going back and forth between Israel and Iran. But I am no military expert.
I would like to believe that Iran will respond forcefully, but quite frankly, I think their military strength is likely overrated a lot, in part as a western propaganda to make Iran seem like a threat that needs to be eliminated.
It seems they already eliminated all their leadership and many nuclear scientists.
