@wilhelm @Friendica Support Thanks for your input. It seemed to be an option in setup process I can't find now. It only shows up in other places, like Mastodon, for example, that have that format. I have option to edit it in 3rd party apps, like Raccoon, but whenever I upload an image and hit save button, nothing occurs. It definitely exists and needs updating. Here's a screenshot of Friendica's impossible to remove pretty lame logo in place.
Have not tested Raccoon to set a banner image. If that is not working as intended why not file an issue over at github.com/LiveFastEatTrashRaccoon/RaccoonForFriendica/issues The dev is very friendly. Make sure to include as much detail as possible like Android version, Raccoon version, Friendica version + instance, repro steps etc.
Meh, I tried it multiple times, not very excited about that app anyways. Fedilab did it fine. Friendica needs a native app. It's the most feature-rich interface, just using that through phone browser is better than anyone else's take on it. That being said, I'm good with Fedilab, Moshidon, and Elk.Zone on desktop browser. I think the Bluesky intertanglement is its own buggy problem (it barely populates the feed and only rarely). So, I'm not seeing Friendica as having further problems for me, essentially. Thank you again for your input.

That said, this criteria clearly only exists to protect "influencers" who make youtube a proportional amount of money. Here's the problem though. I’ve been a victim of downvote brigades. It usually starts with someone downvoting every single post in one of my communities. Fine, maybe they don’t like my politics. But then it spreads. They start hitting every community I run, even the non-political ones, and downvote everything I post. Eventually, they downvote every single post I make anywhere, just because it’s me.
Some people genuinely get joy out of doing that. They don’t read the post or care about the content. They just see a name they don’t like and hit downvote.
I’m not making this up. I saw it happen over and over. That’s why banning users based solely on voting behavior became a feature. It was needed.
So I started banning people who only showed up to downvote and never contributed. Once I did that, they stopped bothering those communities. They knew they couldn’t mess with me anymore.
Since then, serial downvoting has dropped across the Fediverse. People figured out they could get banned for it.
It wasn’t about disagreeing with information. It was about targeting people. I’m not saying OP did that, but that’s the pattern I’ve seen.
I personally would like to see votes be eliminated for the entire fediverse so the vote manipulators have no way to try to shape narratives.
