Se han registrado graves daños en #TelAviv y Ramat Gan. Uno de los misiles impactó en el hospital más grande de #Israel, el Soroka, en Beerseba. Looks like I picked the wrong week to start using Friendica.

Crashes across all interfaces, takes forever to load. Maybe, if you collapsed all comments by default, just maybe it wouldn't be crunching so hard. Bluesky integration fails completely. Oh well, seemed perfect for me, in the abstract. I learned quite a lot about the potential. Think I just need to make Mastodon my one stop-shop instead.

@Eric Bono
I use only friendica and had never any problem.
But i use it as own server-instance.
So i would recomend the best way to enter the fediverse is by using own server-instances. This is also the best way in the intentioan of the fediverse. big servers attracting masses of users into their instance are more of the kind of damaging the idea of the fediverse in mimikying the big commercial things.
And bluesky is not a real supporter of the fediverse, it is onyl another centralized alternative of centrlatized alternatives..

there is an issue tracking the performance trouble with friendica.world: github.com/friendica/friendica/issues/14947
It has been addressed in github.com/friendica/friendica/pull/14974
The patch is not yet live on friendica.world though.

A New Zionist Massacre Against the Starving in Gaza Under the Cover of the War of Aggression Against Iran: PFLP

– In a new brutal crime and a stark expression of its genocidal war, the Zionist occupation committed a horrific massacre this morning by targeting crowds of besieged civilians waiting for aid east of Khan Yunis. This massacre resulted in the deaths of more than 50 martyrs and the injury of more than 200 others, a scene that has become repeated daily amidst complete international silence and blatant complicity.

– This massacre is part of a systematic mass killing of our people in Gaza, which the occupation is exploiting under the cover of the US-Zionist war of aggression against Iran, in parallel with a deliberate media blackout aimed at obscuring its ongoing crimes against our Palestinian people.

The so-called “aid companies” and their fake security fronts have become tools of organized mass murder, used to round up besieged, starving civilians under promises of humanitarian aid, then turn them into direct targets for the occupation’s fire. It is a calculated killing mechanism operated under a false humanitarian cover, and it must be exposed and confronted by all means.

The Front calls on the free people of the world, free voices, and anti-colonial movements to take urgent action to break the silence, stop this comprehensive war against our people, and confront the enemy’s policies of using aid as a tool to kill the starving.

It will be valuable information when we have more data points to compare it against later. The console's high initial sales may very well have little to do with anything except how many Nintendo had available, for instance. It could do Wii U numbers (unlikely), or it could be a mega success, or anything in between. The third party sales might be reflective of the fact that the games are all older and available on other platforms, or it could be that customers are strapped for cash after a higher console purchase price, or any of a number of other reasons. I would just encourage people not to make a narrative out of this yet.

It's too early to draw any conclusions. Take it from Mat Piscatella, who's forgotten more about video game market research than I ever learned myself.

Hardware launches are not like game releases, anyway. It's the establishment of a new product market, and early game releases on consoles have an ebb and flow to them that later blockbusters do not. It's about building growth, not first-week sales.

@Carter Braxton yep that's precisely what he says. The international order recognises countries, not governments. You absolutely cannot assail another country because you don't like their leaders. In particular, you can't strike Russia with huge sanctions because it attacked another country, then support Israel when it attacks another country. Impossible, inadmissible.

I enjoyed reading this. My grandmother's house was an escape haven for me As well. I never got any welts or bruises there, nor was a berated. She had an apple green glider and rockers on her porch. The first thing I did when we moved I to this house with a wrap around porch was to buy a glider and some rockers for it. Even now, over 50 years later, I still feel the peaceful calm when I sit in them.

Changing is not the difficulty but remaining. In Germany we had the same process in the town administration of Munich. Then they had an incidence of complete IT blackout because one single Email with a very long title chrashed the whole system.
At the same time Steve Balmer was on ski holiday close to Munich. He heard about, took the opportunity and sent them a "very good" offer. For the bosses of town administration it was obvious, that Linux is nonsens and they switched back to Windows.

First Peer-Reviewed Study Documents Magnetism Following COVID-19 Injection

thehighwire.com/editorial/firs…

Interestingly, the magnetic outcome didn’t appear immediately after receipt of the experimental mRNA COVID-19 jabs but developed over time, typically between 1- and 20-months post-injection. This delayed onset suggests that the magnetism isn’t caused by leftover vaccine material at the injection site. Instead, it may result from systemic ...

changes in the body, possibly linked to the genetic expression of vaccine components, such as mRNA or DNA, which they note could spread throughout the body and trigger this unusual effect. With transhumanism on the horizon, this outcome is nothing short of terrifying.

beginning with the letter “F.” While Moderna vaccines were also associated with some cases, the connection was less frequent, suggesting possible differences in vaccine formulations or manufacturing processes that might contribute to the phenomenon. As noted by Nicolas Hulscher, MPH, Epidemiologist and Foundation Administrator at the McCullough Foundation, there is no mention of this phenomenon in Pfizer’s internal documents or in VAERS, despite numerous anecdotal reports. ...

@leomas the point everyone keeps missing, is our trust and approval is beyond irrelevant. in addition to our opinions on theocracy. this isnt our government to pass judgement on. but as far as the numbers go...
man im having a hell of a time finding the report now. everything on the world bank site is from 2011 to the last few years which obviously looks terrible bc of the sanctions.
but from the brookings institute:
i2.wp.com/www.brookings.edu/wp…

an image that can be found in the broader context of this report:

brookings.edu/articles/irans-e…

As far as how the war will go, sure its very hard to know at this point but unless the u.s. goes all in, i think the iranian people made it clear the last couple days, they're not going to have a revolution under bombs. (an expectation we only ever have for brown and black people).

in reply to benda

Sorry for being later than I thought, I'm having a pretty stressful time lately.
I disagree with the judgement thing, while we obviously don't have full context for Iran's circumstances, I still think we should always challenge and judge power as much as possible to try and always push humanity further towards harmonious living and aiding each other, no matter where they live.
The sanctions point is fair, but I think counting on Oil for Iran's economy was a bad move, which could have been in my opinion at least partly caused by the religious influence, if you want I can elaborate.
Finally, the article (because of the sanctions I'il take it not being recent): It does seem like a mixed bag (I tried my best to ignore the neolib bullshit, but please correct me if some slipped in), while the poverty rates have developed positively, I do think the inequality they mentioned between ages (in employment) and sexes (hopefully don't have to elaborate) is a bad indicator for future development (not just economically, but also in society), so more nouanced than I was, my bad.
Also, is the poverty rate indicator static? I feel like that should be adjusted over time.
The last paragraph I just agree with.
