The American strike on Iran was expected.

As for the technical results of the strike and the extent of damage at the three targeted sites, that remains uncertain, we’re still awaiting the official Iranian position.

What stands out so far in Iran’s immediate reactions is that Iranian state TV claimed the nuclear materials and technology had been relocated prior to the American strike. I’m not sure which entity issued this statement.

Frankly, that’s a strange position. Countries that want to prevent further strikes don’t say such things, they claim everything was destroyed.

If Iran truly did move its nuclear materials and safeguard them in secret locations to allow for the eventual rebuilding of the program, then publicly saying they were untouched makes little sense, unless the aim is to downplay the strike’s effectiveness to avoid the need for an Iranian retaliation.

chances are no real was damage done. just like everyone has said. even the bunker buster can't get 90m deep. 30-40m tops. And successive hits won't each take another 30-40. The rock gets packed down so successive hits make less progress.
granted there is motivation to save face in front of the nation, the iranian people. But if there's radioactive fallout, the IR can't just lie away about it. They will be forced to respond.
Thus far, i still think the u.s. attack was all show. Let's see what the next few hours bring.

Just when I thought Google couldn't get worse, it went in for more enshittification. We've got special brand map symbology for national brands & slogans for some! We've got suggested activities while there! (Telling me I might want to replace my car keys is funny; I don't have a car.) We can have a chat with the brand (probably a shitty chatbot) in Google maps. We can also be followed now, as if Google maps were a social media!

@ArdainianRight Trump ran as an antithesis to people like Bush and then turned outed to be even more egregious in their worst qualities than they were.

Bush invaded Iraq, but did so only by cynically exploiting America’s rage over 9/11 as a justification. What justification did Trump have to do this, especially when 99% of the country was vocally against it. He’s brazenly doing Israel’s genocidal work with OUR resources and daring anyone to do something about. I think that makes him magnitudes worse than even Bush.
