The American strike on Iran was expected.

As for the technical results of the strike and the extent of damage at the three targeted sites, that remains uncertain, we’re still awaiting the official Iranian position.

What stands out so far in Iran’s immediate reactions is that Iranian state TV claimed the nuclear materials and technology had been relocated prior to the American strike. I’m not sure which entity issued this statement.

Frankly, that’s a strange position. Countries that want to prevent further strikes don’t say such things, they claim everything was destroyed.

If Iran truly did move its nuclear materials and safeguard them in secret locations to allow for the eventual rebuilding of the program, then publicly saying they were untouched makes little sense, unless the aim is to downplay the strike’s effectiveness to avoid the need for an Iranian retaliation.

aj has the shittiest analysis.
chances are no real was damage done. just like everyone has said. even the bunker buster can't get 90m deep. 30-40m tops. And successive hits won't each take another 30-40. The rock gets packed down so successive hits make less progress.
granted there is motivation to save face in front of the nation, the iranian people. But if there's radioactive fallout, the IR can't just lie away about it. They will be forced to respond.
Thus far, i still think the u.s. attack was all show. Let's see what the next few hours bring.

Mahdi Mohammadi, advisor to Majles Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf: "From Iran's perspective, nothing unusual has happened. Iran has been expecting an attack on Fordow for several nights. The site has long been evacuated and did not suffer any irreversible damage in the attack. Two things are certain: first, knowledge cannot be bombed away; and second, this time the gambler [Trump] will lose."

Do you drooling retards even remember how Bush's Iraq disaster nuked the Republican party's electoral prospects for several elections and paved the way for a homosexual Nigger to become president? Is "owning the Poast chuds" really worth it if the disastrous consequences of war with Iran results in the Democrats taking back power and flooding the US with an additional 30 million shitskin Invaders?

Democratic leaders quiet on Trump’s strikes:

As a handful of progressive US lawmakers condemn Trump’s decision to attack Iran, the primary congressional leaders of the Democratic Party have yet to issue statements on the unprovoked US strikes.

Representative Hakeem Jeffries and Senator Chuck Schumer, who lead the Democratic caucus in the House of Representatives and the Senate, respectively, have yet to issue statements on the attacks.

Both are outspoken supporters of Israel and have taken a hawkish stance on Iran.

In a statement on Friday, Jeffries said that Iran could not become “nuclear-capable” and that Israel has a “right to defend itself”, but noted that only the US Congress has the right to declare war.

A recent poll found that 65 percent of people who identified with the Democratic Party are opposed to US involvement in Israel’s war against Iran, with just 15 percent in favour.

BREAKING: Trump has announced that moments ago the United States has attacked 3 nuclear sites in Iran, specifically Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

The vile hypocrisy of this fascist to break the Iran nuclear deal in 2018 despite Iran’s compliance, and now to attack Iran without reason in 2025.

This is 2003 Iraq WMDs all over again and countless innocent people will pay the price for these absurd lies.

I wrote this three months ago, for the county Democratic party blog.

I didn't imagine we'd be bombing Iran, but it still all applies.

We've got suggested activities while there! (Telling me I might want to replace my car keys is funny; I don't have a car.) We can have a chat with the brand (probably a shitty chatbot) in Google maps. We can also be followed now, as if Google maps were a social media!

@ArdainianRight Trump ran as an antithesis to people like Bush and then turned outed to be even more egregious in their worst qualities than they were.

Bush invaded Iraq, but did so only by cynically exploiting America’s rage over 9/11 as a justification. What justification did Trump have to do this, especially when 99% of the country was vocally against it. He’s brazenly doing Israel’s genocidal work with OUR resources and daring anyone to do something about. I think that makes him magnitudes worse than even Bush.

Trump is ushering in the Golden Age for the entire world.

He is forcing all other countries to become competitive.

The system that Trump is implementing is forcing other countries to adopt similar measures in order to be competitive.

The other countries also realize that if they delay their structural reforms, they will be left behind.

The reforms include:

  • Eschew globalist institutions
  • Promote small market capitalism
  • Wield tariffs as a tool to stabilize domestic industry
  • Deregulate
  • Promote innovation
  • Promote personal responsibility
  • Avoid war
  • Help other countries that want to embrace these structural changes.

Competition leads to maximum prosperity, stability and personal freedom

Back in the day, there was a fad among programmers for, well, having blood in their caffeine stream. See Jolt Cola: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jolt_Col…

Is being highly caffeinated still something people brag about (more than in the larger culture)?

Or is it all microdosing hallucinogens, etc.? Or whatever replaced that?

(It’d be interesting to see the demographics of microdosing. It feels like something driven by Thought Leaders rather than bottom-up, but I’m out of touch.)

@pluralistic : "Like many people of my generation, I grew up with The Blues Brothers. ... I can still just about recite those movies verbatim, more than 30 years later."

IMHO a perfect opening scene: Elwood stands in front of the Blues Mobile, Jake waits for the prison gate to open, and "She Caught the Katy" punches in. Sets the tone perfectly.

> A friend of mine runs an image board for furry art. He thought that people would use generative AI tools as a part of their workflows to make better works of art faster. He was wrong, it just led to people flooding the site with the results of "wolf girl with absolutely massive milkers showing her feet paws" from their favourite image generation tool in every fur color imaginable, then with different characters, then with different anatomical features. There was no artistic direction or study there. Just an endless flood of slop that was passable at best.

oh come on, the only issue here is the volume of slop it enables, humans create tons of this furry beatoff material purely by hand with no regard for "art".
