Got it. Yeah the API bullshit was when I stopped moderating and left. The moment spez called us โlanded gentryโ (hence the username) and put his complete and utter distain for users on full display, I decided I had too much self-respect to stick around and give them my free labor anymore. Laptops are not generally designed to run like that with a closed lid. Heat dissipation is designed around the idea the laptop is open and some of it is through the keyboard surface. The lid closed would change that.
Systems can of course be setup to power off the display but for server/service uses open laptops may not be efficient space wise.
Having said that if the scenario is low power use the heat dissipation may not be a major issue. But if there is an unremovable battery i'd still be concerned about heat dissipation with the lid closed and even just the battery itself regardless of heat dissipiation.

This is very interesting! Looking up the specific energy of HMX, twice that is still less than hydrogen-oxygen rocket fuel. But it could be a bit better than hydrolox overall due to better density (meaning smaller fuel tanks, and thus lighter fuel tanks).
It could be a great fit for one of my favorite ideas - harvesting fuel using orbital atmospheric scooping. One problem - Earth's upper atmosphere has no hydrogen. But it's got LOTS of nitrogen.

From what I read, the strikes against Fordow were largely unsuccessful, with no damage to the actual installations. Similar can be said about Natanz and Isfahan. So this was an attack with limited to no success, that will put #Iran in a situation where they HAVE to respond. This response can easily trigger an open war, maybe even a war declaration (the only thing the Democrats are complaining about).

Now, seriously, indeed the American attack was very limited in its impact, and there's a reason to think that Iran won't respond. Back when Trump murdered Gral. Soleimani, Iran bombed a US base in Iraq as response, but let the Americans know beforehand so the base was empty when the missiles stroke. It was a negotiated theater so Iran woludn't loose face. But I don't think it'll be the case.
