Hmm, there's barebones, then there's microblog.pub. Which, while it doesn't seem to be abandoned, then the dev doesn't seem to have the time to add, well, any bells and whistles.

I genuinely can't figure out how to add a picture to my profile. There's supposedly a config file I can add it to, but it doesn't appear to exist, nor the folder it's supposed to exist in.

Tomorrow Darren will worry about it...

What should this guy do? Leave her IMMEDIATELY - she is actually evil! She is not just stingy, she is greedy, a narcissist and dishonest. She revealed something about herself for a stupid camera that she never told him.
She has no empathy for his situation and his feelings. That means she's an actual psychopath.
She twists everything to suit her interest. Traditional values or "modern woman", whatever will be more opportune. She will always treat any guy who is with her like 💩

God bless President Trump, for his bold direction, and perfect strategy. Midnight Hammer will go down in history as one of the greatest military operations the world has ever seen.

Huge thanks to our AMAZING US Air Force pilots, and all who aided them. Our profound gratitude to Sec Hegseth and General Dan Caine, and everyone who was involved. Absolute Heroes, all.

@Incal phenylalanine and aspartic acid are both naturally occurring amino acids in the body and would exist within the body with or without the intake of aspartame. And your breakdown sequence is backwards, it first breaks down into methanol and THEN into formaldehyde and formic acid. But those amines in natural proteins also break down when proteins are recycled. Additionally, you get some methanol fruits and vegetables. The body has natural pathways to detoxify formaldehyde, converting it to formic acid and eliminating it.

_Russia: Other nations ready to supply Iran with nukes after U.S. strike_

The key tension:

1) If Medvedev's stance actually reflects that of the Russian government, then it would signify that the effort required by those who seek to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power is much higher—and riskier—than they had been expecting; but also

2) it validates the accusation that Iran is actually seeking to become a nuclear power, and that major global powers are not just OK with that, but are strongly in favor.

Therefore, Medvedev's statement significantly raises the risks of either continuing to passively "watch and wait" as Iran continues developing its nuclear technology and capabilities, or alternatively of taking positive, military action to interdict Iran: Other nuclear powers might take Iran's side, not just economically and politically, but perhaps even militarily.

It's becoming a game of chicken.

Nevertheless, Trump's justification for the strike against Iran's nuclear research facilities is ethically equivalent to "red flag laws" that criminalize the possession of weapons by those judged (rightly or wrongly) to be unworthy of being armed.

upi.com/Top_News/World-News/20…

Iran could end all of this shitfuckery right now if they did a nuclear test. That's all they need to do, and done, polarity and some dominance is established in the region. Hell, they could even borrow one of Pakistan’s or DPRK’s nukes to do it. At the very least it buys time until they can build an adequate stockpile. Sure, pissrael might go off the rails and launch one of theirs, but that would probably be too detrimental to them strategically.

Well, I guess we should keep all our terrorists in the country, Hamas, Palestinians, Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah. Maybe we'll get another 9/11. Omar should stay, too. Trust Obama? He should keep working on the Iran deal for terrorists. Reopen USAID so the Network can steal the rest of our money for terrorism. It's all related. Nazism is an Historical fact that's supposed to teach us.

Haifa Police prevented a vigil against the Gaza Genocide and the war on all fronts even before it started

Press Release by Haifa Left
On June 21, 2025, Haifa Palestinian rights activists were planning a demonstration against the Gaza Genocide and Israel’s war on all fronts. The demonstration was planned for 6pm, at a place known to activists as “The Prisoner’s Square” in the German Colony in downtown Haifa.
Roughly 20 minutes before the scheduled beginning of the demonstration, police forces were already on site, approximately 40 strong, including uniformed police officers, “detectives” in plain clothes and the semi-military “border guards” (“Mishmar Hagvul”).
At around 6pm, the officers started harassing anybody that they suspected as a prospective protester. Here are some of the measures taken by police officers at the scene:
1. They required identification and searched personal belongings of people around the square without cause, including some who were not even in the vicinity of the planned demonstration.
2. When some protesters laid on the ground posters for the demonstration, they fined them for “littering”.
3. Some officers spat at protesters.
4. They performed humiliating physical searches.
5. They confiscated a banner saying “Stop the Continuing Nakba” from the bag of a protester.
6. Violence and threats: two protesters were isolated from the group, taken to nearby streets by plain clothes “detectives”, and pushed, each one separately, to hidden corners, out of sight of the other protesters.
7. The officers threatened one of them that, had he dared to participate in the demonstration, he would be immediately arrested, and, once at the police station, they would break every bone in his body.
8. The officers threatened the other protester with choking, then beat him (actual beating, not threats) while spreading threats and insults.
9. In both cases, the officers managed to hide the victims from the group, preventing any chance of filming these events.
10. One protester was detained and taken to the station. After interrogation for “insulting a policeman,” she was sent to three days of house arrest. While she was detained, an officer told her that from now on, he would detain her on every demonstration, “just because it is fun”.
11. They were tracking suspected would-be protesters before, during and after the demonstration.
12. A lone protester who stood in a nearby location (Emil Habibi square, in the predominantly Palestinian Wadi Nisnas neighbourhood) with a poster stating that “Starving Gaza is a crime against humanity” was attacked by the Haifa police chief who tore the poster and removed him from the square, shoving and threatening him.
From this overwhelming effort with all kinds of methods used by the Haifa police, we conclude that it has declared war on the right to protest in the city. The active, violent role taken by the Haifa police chief himself, along with the similar practices and pronouncements by different officers, indicate that this is not a local initiative, but rather execution of policy that is directed from above.

Trump’s attack on Iran is ‘unconditional surrender’ to Israel

#geopolitics #imperialism #war

Since his election in 2016, Donald Trump’s political opponents have portrayed him as a dangerous, unstable fabulist doing the bidding of a malign, nuclear-armed foreign power.

Having returned to the White House this year, Trump is proving his detractors correct on all counts but one: the location on the map. The rogue state that he’s colluding with — at great peril to the planet — is not Russia, as his most vocal detractors alleged, but Israel.

Anyone whose analysis amounts to "It's rich people's fault. No one else is to blame," is beholden to a concept of power at once puerile and dualist.

Anyone whose analysis amounts to "It's politicians' fault. They're the ones who should do something," is likewise beholden to a concept of power facile and dithering.

Anyone whose analysis is "It's rich people and politicans' fault. They're why shit stinks," is still less than half way there, yet at least has grokked that power is not a monopole.

in reply to sport of sacred spherical cows

The Estates is a way to divide the field--picking the Third Estate as the seat of ACTUAL power is--if it can be wielded. National strike comes to mind.

But in a way, I'd argue you're reframing the problem. The 0.01% own the governments, media and have been the bosses of the "intelligence" & military communities. There are "good apples" presumably in those barrels but the rot is systemic.

So still not sure what the >50% is to which you allude--carry on!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Is_…

in reply to FIAR Light

@LightFIAR

The idea that the ultra-rich "own" the people who make up the other estates is a framing beyond simplistic.

Consider armed enforcement, the fifth estate. Exactly how are 18,000 separate police departments owned by a minuscule number of individual persons?

Those entities of the fifth estate have shared interests that they work together to protect, but the idea that there's some hierarchical control enacted through sequestered exchange value, some persons who "own" three quarters of a million people, when each of those hundreds of thousands of people are operating out of their own self-interests, out of their own desire to employ a monopoly of force to the satisfaction of their own ego-value, is puerile.

Good apples doesn't enter into it. The rot is systemic. Including the rot of the third estate. Looking to the third estate to enact a national strike is laughable. The seat of compliancism choosing not to comply? Please. Hence we get distributed flashmob block parties.

in reply to sport of sacred spherical cows

If the 0.1% were not writing legislation to benefit themselves, much of the systemic rot could be offset. ICE agents are also compelled currently by quotas but the people in it are mostly racist assholes.

Still: what is the other 50+% of the problem? I think are just muddying the waters. But then, you also don't seem to think there's ANY answers to the horrific situation our species is in. So why argue about anything? Indeed, that may well be an accurate assessment. We're fucked.

in reply to FIAR Light

@LightFIAR

Not going to argue with consensus media. You asked a question. Myself answered it. You chose to disregard and not engage with the answer in preservation of your consensus framing.

(Consensus is just that. The fourth estate is consensus in the form of media. This is media. What we're doing right now. Only myself am not actively reinscribing consensus, am not actively reinscribing the status quo.)

If you honestly believe that the only reason police (notorious for behaving as if law does not apply to them) are only cruel because laws tell them to be, then nothing myself can say will convince you otherwise.

Per your "Still." Again, asked and answered. The other 50%+ is perquisition (the third estate), consensus media (the fourth estate, again, what you are doing right now) and armed enforcement (the fifth estate). Can repeat this ad nauseam. You won't hear the answer if it fails to affirm your insistence that the second estate "owns" all those disparate ego-value interests.

in reply to sport of sacred spherical cows

@LightFIAR

For more discussion of how armed enforcement operates out of it's own ego-value interests, see this thread:

mastodon.social/@richpuchalsky…

No one need order an ICE agent not to provide adequate food to children in a concentration camp. No one need "own" that member of the fifth estate for them to engage in depraved indifference.

Racism is sufficient to direct their non-action, without any story needing to be told about how some statistical error of a minority, the second estate—its members distinguished by having more digits on their balance sheets than people who will mourn them when they are gone—somehow "owns" those members of the fifth estate by virtue of the second estate being "bosses".

Cruelty is more than sufficient a motivator without having to imagine puppeteers pulling their strings. Any story that elides this, by blaming other people, people who aren't even in a position to be indifferent to the children in a given cage, only serves to perpetuate the systemic rot.
