Ugh, here we go. People in the U.S. will get sicker more often, overall health and average life expectancy (US currently ranks 48th or so) will further decline. But because that impact will individually be subtle and compound only over years, the idiot population won’t make the connection.

Next on the chopping block: MMR vaccines. So yeah, young kids and infants are actually going to die. USA, USA.

So many people still believe in the safety and efficacy of vaccines, despite being exposed as a way to line the pockets of the big companies that make and promote them.

Statistically, there's more risk from side effects in taking a vaccine than getting the disease that vaccine was supposed to prevent.

Yet, there are still True Believers. I guess there's idiots on both sides.

I...can someone explain to me what it means when all Democrats can talk about is how scared they are of Republicans?

"Why don't people want to vote us!!!" they all whine incessantly while actively and forcibly framing literally every opinion they have in terms of "are the worst people in the world gonna get mad tho".

Frankly, I don't understand how anyone who identifies as a Democrat can have any self-respect at this point. Get a HOLD of yourselves. Fuck.

Larry Summers (seriously he’s still around?), a guy from a self-described “centrist” group called Third Way. And the 3rd quote they got? It was “Republicans Against Trumpism.” REPUBLICANS!

Good job buying the hype and not reading who the “Democrats” criticizing Mamdani are. Neither the AP nor this poster are going to let facts get in the way of Dem-bashing.

Now that Keir Starmer seem to be offering concessions to the disability cut rebels (although they might be wise to see the shape they finally take early next week), those Stramer-loyalist who stood up to defined the cuts, might be wondering whether they should do that again.... they're being made to look pretty foolish (and, of course, callous).

Overall the entire affair (disability cuts, rebellion, late/grudging concessions) has been a massive unforced error....

The U.S. Supreme Court is preparing to hand down a pivotal decision that could finally put an end to one of the Left’s favorite judicial tricks: nationwide injunctions designed to paralyze conservative executive action.

According to George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, a looming Supreme Court decision on nationwide injunctions could have “enormous” impacts on the Trump administration.

Turley said Tuesday that the high court will likely crack down on rogue activist judges.

The SCOTUS is poised to decide on the practice by federal judges that can currently halt executive branch policies affecting the entire country.

Conservatives have argued that injunctions have been strategically sought in left-wing jurisdictions.

The moves are part of a strategy to undermine the Trump administration’s agenda on immigration enforcement and deportations.

“It’s going to be an enormous decision potentially,” Turley explained.

The legal scholar noted that a decision may come on Thursday.

“For the administration in the immigration areas, as well as other areas, the court could very well say, ‘Enough. We’re not going to have individual judges freezing the entire United States government on critical programs like this.”

It is likely akin to sunk-cost. They have already spent so much of their life having a thing to point at, that they don't want it to have been wrong the whole time. Even though it was known to be wrong pretty much right away, that was already too late for some.

Some mindsets require assigning blame to an external locus in order to move on. There has to be no chance it was "their fault" even though it's hard to really describe genetics as such...

There hasn't really been anything else to suggest a fixed external potential source. So if this one is proven wrong, they are out of options. Ignoring, of course, that it has already been proven wrong. But, that is the reason why they feel it hasn't. Because it's so very important to them that it is right.

And of course barring all that, even the most profoundly affected individuals with Autism rarely blame their condition for the lowered quality of life, if any, they blame their surroundings or surrounders incapability of adjusting to their needs. With proper surroundings and surrounders, even at it's worst, the downsides are manageable and the upsides can be really nice/useful.
