YOu need to ask a doctor what the side effects are on all of your medications. YOu need to tell them what problems you have and ask them if anything new you would take would effect the current problems you have !!! And then MOST IMPORTANT IS TO DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THE MEDICATION THAT THE DOCTOR WANTS TO PUT YOU ON WHILE YOU ARE AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE TO MAKE SURE THE DOCTOR IS PROPERLY INFORMED AND OR IS NOT BEING A LIAR TO YOU LIKE WHAT MOST DOCTORS ARE !!!!

Scientists just discovered a way to smash cancer cells apart using light — no drugs, no chemo.

And they had a 99% kill rate in lab tests.

In a striking leap forward for cancer treatment, scientists have developed a new technique that uses light to physically destroy cancer cells without harming healthy tissue.

Researchers at Rice University, working with Texas A&M and the University of Texas, discovered that when dye molecules called aminocyanines—commonly used in imaging—are attached to cancer cells and hit with near-infrared light, they vibrate intensely. This synchronized movement, dubbed “molecular jackhammering,” generates mechanical force that ruptures the cancer cells' membranes.

The approach has shown dramatic results in early experiments, obliterating 99% of melanoma cells in petri dishes and triggering full remission in about half of tested mice. Because it relies on physical force rather than chemicals or genetic modification, it sidesteps the issue of resistance that plagues many existing therapies. Moreover, the use of near-infrared light means the treatment can penetrate deeply into tissue with minimal damage to surrounding cells—raising hopes for non-invasive therapy options. Researchers are now optimizing the method and preparing for human trials, eyeing a future where light becomes a powerful weapon against cancer.

By most accounts, Owen Wister invented the Western. His 1902 book, The Virginian: A Horseman of the Plains, sold over two millions copies, was reprinted 14 times within a year of publication, & spurred four film & TV adaptations. Wister was also one of the first breeders of Chihuahuas, & some sources suggest he may even have influenced the breed’s name.

Enter James Watson, a founder of the AKC. He acquired his first Chihuahua en route by train to San Francisco for a judging assignment in 1888.

Wister, meanwhile, was smitten with the southwest. It’s possible that his way of preserving the culture was by saving the Chihuahua, a dog Watson, the sporting and kennel editor for the Philadelphia Press, had described as, “the only truly North American dog.”

Chihuahuas were AKC recognized a couple of years after Wister’s book was published, and anyone interested in the breed will want to read anything written about them by Amy Fernandez.

In Germantown, PA, a chap stopped Watson who had “Manzannita” with him, & said he hadn’t seen such a dog since he was in Arizona years before. The guy was Owen Wister whose family had settled in Germantown even before William Penn got to Pennsylvania.

By now, Watson was lost to a breed with which he’d become smitten. Though he never had a successful breeding program, he purchased several more dogs on trips to the Southwest. Wister always inquired about Watson’s dogs whenever they met.

While this is a good article in that it highlights the fact that well over half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck their purported solution is a f*cking budgeting app?? It doesn't matter how much you budget, if your pay doesn't rise with increasing costs budgeting won't do much at all, if anything. And this article does what most pundits do: puts blame on consumers, rather than f*cking capitalists who insist on paying near starvation wages, while getting fat off of our labor.

When she approached the old woodsman, she had only one thing in mind: the ask. But whether it was an ask for help or an axe for justice, no one could say. He handed her the axe without a word, as if he’d heard the ask before she spoke. She gripped it tightly, unsure if she was meant to axe the truth from the trees or ask it from the wind. In that forest, every ask could cut, and every axe could speak.

The narcissist's mind often perceives the world as a stage where every slight, no matter how small, is magnified into a betrayal. They interpret omissions or misunderstandings as deliberate acts against them, fueling a constant sense of persecution. This "micro-betrayal" effect traps them in a cycle of distrust and conflict, making healthy relationships incredibly challenging. Understanding this pattern can help us approach narcissists and ourselves with more compassion and clearer boundaries. 🧠✨ #NPD #MentalHealth #UnderstandingNarcissism

Lety Does Eating the Wavy Tzatziki Flavored Chips From Lay's

We're over half a year past summer at this point, but I'm finally moving on to reviewing Lay's summer collection! Specifically, Lay's of America. That's right, we're done with the foreign chips! Come join me as I review these... Greek dipping sauce flavored chips from Lay's.

Lety Does Eating the Masala Flavored Potato Chips From Lay's

So like what the fuck does “masala” flavored chips even mean. Masala is such a generic fucking term, it can be one of a half-dozen famous Indian spice mixes. Garam masala, maybe, based on the photo??? But it's super fucking eggy for garam masala, which I don't think has black salt, so idefk.

Lety Does Playing the Royal Limited (2023)

You know what I've always wanted to do? Play a train game on a train. Okay, that's an absolute lie, but I have wanted to do that since I booked these long-distance train tickets. Just a damn shame I was sick that I literally do not remember filming this Let's Play whatsoever.

Lety Does Taking the Amtrak Coast Starlight, Part 1

Went on my first long-distance Amtrak trip and just wanted to give a giant shoutout to the lovely support agent who took pity on me for missing my departure at Union Station and allowed me to change my onboarding to a different station like 30 minutes away. Would love to say that fixed all my problems, but oh boy, being on the second floor of a moving train is a STRUGGLE.

Lety Does Eating the Chili Crab Garlic Fries From Satay by the Bay SF

I got hungry after hanging out at the Tamara de Lempicka exhibition for a few hours, but luckily for me, there's a bunch of food trucks right outside the de Young Museum! My first choice was... not this, it was some vegan Mexican thing that closed up right as I arrived, but I'm almost glad it did cause these fries were great!

Lety Does Taking the Amtrak Coast Starlight, Part 2

My first Amtrak trip continues! I feel a bit better after my shower, so I decided to show off the rest of the train, and I have learned from my Hsi Lai Temple vlogs! That even if I do have permission to film, that doesn't mean I won't come across like a jackass! So behold, the new vlogging meta!

Lety Does Taking the Amtrak Coast Starlight II, Part 1

My short trip to San Francisco is over, and it's time to head back to Los Angeles! And a fun fact: this train runs two-day journeys in each direction, and apparently the staff doesn't turn over at the end of each length of the trip. Meaning, since I got off on day one, spent two days in SF, and then hopped back onboard on day four-- LONG STORY SHORT, I got on the same exact train with the same exact attendants from my first trip, and everyone fucking remembered the dying girl.

Lety Does the Tamara de Lempicka Exhibition at the de Young Museum

After half a year of thinking about it, I finally decided to head up to San Francisco to see the Tamara de Lempicka exhibition on its last day in town. It truly was a beautiful and humbling retrospective for an LGBT icon, and I'm so appreciative of the curators and donors who made this possible.

Hihi! Lety here, auto-commenting from my main account (which doesn't have a 🔕 icon)!

This is how my PeerTube videos look on other Fediverse platforms!

Remotely interact with this video using an account on an ActivityPub-powered platform like Mastodon Social! Just click the “Add comment...” box under any PeerTube video and enter your Fedi handle in the pop-up. That’ll direct you to the federated post for that video on whatever platform you use.

Or, if you’re already logged in on Mastodon or wherever you're seeing this message, just look at the post I’m responding to!

Replies and favorites on that post show up as comments and likes on PeerTube, and following the account that posted it subscribes you to my videos.

Heads up, though! While some platforms might allow you to respond with custom emojis, gifs, images, polls, and reactions, most of that fancy stuff won’t show up correctly on PeerTube. The same goes for any edits you might want to make to your response unless you delete & re-draft.

If you already know all this or are tired of seeing this wall of text, you can hide these explanation posts by going to your account preferences and creating a new filter with the title and keyword “#LetyDoesPeerTubeExplainer” and all context boxes checked.
