Pues bien, imposible hacerlo.
No ayudan, no son flexibles y básicamente solo los importa que pagues y pagues.

Probably just about everything that's done by servants/"the help"/"assistants". If Jeff Bezos' life depended on cleaning a kitchen well within a given time, he would be doomed. Though Bezos is not the best example, since he seems to have grown up somewhat poor and actually worked as a line cook in his youth - but most rich people aren't upstarts, they become rich by inheriting.

Is the Fediverse stalling?

I'm genuinely interested in people thoughts about the Fediverse because here in the UK it has massively stalled in 2025, like a lot of things. I am seeing way less posts from UK people and way less interaction and general use in fact. Most seem to have stopped social media use to be fair, and I know a lot of that is to do with my age (old fart here, 56 laps round sun and counting) but the numbers game look poor from my point of view. Do we think the Fediverse has a future now after useage appears to be going downwards? Is it a UK thing? (well I know the UK is weird but hey)
in reply to 3dcadmin

I browse lemmy exclusively, as a result of distaste for corporatization. Personally I have no reason to leave and I doubt I will anytime soon. I don't have any particular niches that I'm a part of, so the only thing that would cause me to leave is if the feed dried up. I usually open lemmy in the morning and scroll All - top 12h. I get an hour or so of scrolling before I reach posts with sub-10 votes. And that's all I really need. I'll be here until I can't do that anymore.
in reply to 3dcadmin

That's an interesting question. I don't think the advantages of the fediverse are part of any zeitgeist so are not attracting new and diverse users other than maybe through places like Flipboard and maybe Ghost. The future of social media is certainly going to remain fragmented and the fediverse fragments itself by default anyway. I do think that how people use social media is changing; people are tired of overuse to some extent.
Does the fediverse have a future? I think it'll remain its own niche as corporate offerings come and go. Increased Interest may come from an unexpected growth in a specialism that is federated.
I think my idealism for what the fediverse could achieve is now muted as I probably no longer have faith in open networks as the cultures are way too different so I probably now see the fediverse less through the email analogy and more through the linux analogy. If fedi plods on refining itself in its own slow way (volunteers and no money make for slow progress) then who know the next time a corp offering destroys itself and people search for a less awful and exploitative environment then it might just win out in the long term though I'm not entirely convinced about that. Does that mean i'm off to corporate networks. Not really. I'd rather just stop altogether than fall down that rabbit hole again.

At aid distribution sites alone, Israel has killed a full half of the number of settlers killed on October 7.

Palestine does in fact clarify all things. It clarifies that all major institutions are on the side of silence and genocide. It clarifies that this rotten, racist global order must fall under its own weight.

[Lost](?) Ouran High School Host Club Serbian dub

z.opnxng.com/fandubdb/wiki/%E6…

Only proof of its existence I can find is here, apparently it was formerly dubbed by Happy TV, which seemed to be a channel for airing childrens TV shows. I don't actually know if it's lost or not but I can't find it anywhere.

in reply to nebula42

I'd say this is lost, while I can seemingly find other languages pretty easily, the Serbian dub specifically I've come up empty for as well

It's fairly common for a specific language of multi-language release content to be missing. Especially when it's outside of the mainstream languages like English, Spanish, Japanese etc.

I would suggest making a post over at forums.lostmediawiki.com/ as well to get more eyeballs on it

Israeli settlers established a sixth illegal outpost near the historic city of Jericho in the eastern West Bank within a month, a Palestinian human rights activist said Wednesday.

The settlers also occupied a Palestinian home in the same area.

Attacks by illegal Israeli settlers and the military have led to the displacement of around 30 Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank since October 2023.

Over 400 artists, media figures, and journalists have signed a letter demanding the removal of BBC board member Robbie Gibb. They accuse Gibb of having a conflict of interest that affects the BBC’s coverage of the genocide in Gaza.

Among the signatories are actors Miriam Margolyes, Zawe Ashton, Alexei Sayle, and Juliet Stevenson, along with 111 BBC journalists who signed anonymously out of fear of professional retaliation.

Britain’s support for Israel’s genocidal conduct in Gaza – through weapons, intelligence sharing and diplomatic cover – is in the spotlight again after this week’s court ruling on a legal challenge to the UK’s continuing arms exports to Tel Aviv.

Critics, ranging from top human rights groups to legal experts and members of Parliament, say the UK has become complicit in the devastation Israel is inflicting on Gaza.

This yield-blindness is getting ridiculous: people don't seem to grasp the implications of what they're proposing. At the conference y'day, someone said: we don't need such high yields, just stop eating animals. Yes, we should stop. But that has to happen BEFORE any cut in yields. Otherwise, famine.

5. Then you get other people saying (in fact this theme now dominates discussions): "Look at my regenerative farming model. It's conserving soil and killing less wildlife." Great. But your yields have fallen by 75%. So either someone else must intensify or more land must be used to grow food.

Possibly trying to manufacture public support for a government crackdown, British establishment media outlets suggested that direct-action group Palestine Action had irreparably damaged planes which are complicit in the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza.

But Declassified UK has exposed their BS, showing one of the planes is already back in the air (just under two weeks later).

A British airbase is reportedly being used by Israeli war planes involved in the bombing of Gaza.

At least three Israeli Air Force (IAF) jets have landed at RAF Brize Norton since September 2024, Drop Site reports.

KC-707 “Re’em” jets, which refuel other planes in the air, are said to have landed at the Oxfordshire base on at least nine occasions during trips between Israel and the US.

According to the newspaper, Netanyahu paid exactly 1.98 million shekels for the apartment, slightly below the foreign asset reporting threshold of two million shekels.

The joint US-Israeli attacks on Iran were the final nails in the coffin of the post-WW2 international order.

The United Nations Charter and International Law have been systematically dismantled over the past 21 months.

On June 13, the Israeli surprise attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran represented a clear violation of Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter. Then, on June 22, the United States did the very same thing.

Why the fuck can't jeets get their W sounds right? I hear them use that sound all the time, on random words spoken correctly.

I'm serious -- why? Why not learn and pronounce those words correctly, regardless of what those letters sound like elsewhere in the world? The W sound is one of the easiest sounds to mimic.

Al-Quds Brigades Launch Rockets on Sderot in Retaliation to Genocide

The Al-Quds Brigades announced that they had launched a rocket bombardment targeting the Sderot settlement in the occupied territories, in addition to a complex ambush in Shujaiya.

The rocket force of Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, announced on its Telegram channel Wednesday that it had targeted the Zionist city of Sderot, near the Gaza border, with rocket fire. Meanwhile, Zionist media reported that three rockets were detected being launched from Gaza toward Sderot.

In a similar operation, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched Q20 rockets on Tuesday at the Zionist settlements of Nir Itzhak and Mivtachim. The attack originated from an area near Khan Younis in southern Gaza, where Zionist military vehicles were deployed, according to a statement released on the group’s official Telegram channel.

Complex ambush leaves Zionist casualties

The Al-Quds Brigades also announced today that they had carried out a coordinated operation, beginning with the detonation of a minefield targeting Zionist military vehicles advancing in the Huda Square area east of Gaza City’s Shujaiya neighborhood, forcing soldiers and officers to take shelter in nearby houses.

The fighters then targeted the troops who had taken cover inside the houses, first with a guided missile, followed by an anti-fortification TBG shell. Afterwards, the fighters engaged Zionist soldiers in close-quarters combat using light and medium weapons, leaving casualties of both dead and wounded, according to a statement released by Al-Quds Brigades.

The group also announced it had captured a reconnaissance drone (EVO Max model) while the aircraft was conducting surveillance over Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades also targeted a Merkava tank on Tuesday with a high-explosive landmine along the supply route of occupation forces in the Al-Zanna area east of Khan Younis, according to a statement released today.

GrapheneOS version 2025070100 released

Tags:
  • 2025070100 (Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, emulator, generic, other targets)

Changes since the 2025063000 release:

  • Exynos 5400 modem Pixels (Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold): temporarily disable hardened_malloc and hardware memory tagging for shared_modem_platform executable due to an upstream write-after-free bug
  • Launcher: fix upstream bug causing a crash for the interface to add lockscreen widgets (currently a tablet only feature until Android 16 QPR1)
  • Vanadium: update to version 138.0.7204.63.0
  • add debug build functionality for toggling off hardened_malloc usage for vendor processes to make narrowing down issues quicker

Vanadium version 138.0.7204.63.0 released

Changes in version 138.0.7204.45.2:
  • backport upstream port of Local Network Checks site settings to Android to provide per-site control with a prompt when sites try to use it instead of the status quo where Vanadium enforces Local Network Checks for the browser with only a global toggle for disabling it

A full list of changes from the previous release (version 138.0.7204.45.1) is available through the Git commit log between the releases.

This update is available to GrapheneOS users via our app repository and will also be bundled into the next OS release. Vanadium isn't yet officially available for users outside GrapheneOS, although we plan to do that eventually. It won't be able to provide the WebView outside GrapheneOS and will have missing hardening and other features.

GrapheneOS version 2025063000 released

This is the initial official release of GrapheneOS based on Android 16 after the June 10th release of Android 16. Device support for Pixels was removed from the Android Open Source Project for Android 16 and had to be reimplemented which is why it took so much longer than usual. Please join our testing chat room if you're interesting in testing this experimental release. We'll be making a series of releases this week to fix several known issues and other issues.

Changes since the 2025062700 release:

  • full Android 16 port with all GrapheneOS features available (we previously shipped some parts of Android 16 backported to Android 15 QPR2 to provide the 2025-06-05 and then 2025-07-01 Pixel patch level)
  • migrate to using adevtool to handle a much larger portion of device support since the Android Open Source Project no longer includes device support for Pixels
  • adevtool: add new arcslib infrastructure for extracting resource overlays from the stock Pixel OS
  • adevtool: use fixed build number and build date for state regeneration to reduce diffs
  • don't disable external ports at boot on debug builds for internal development for debugging early boot failures
