@villebooks If you see the first posts of this thread you will understand that nobody has to be a clairvoyant to see that US and Israel are not reliable negotiators. All of their policy is based on bullying and force. Their only language is this and they send some "sirs" on negotiation tables that are ridiculous. Israel had a thug (but reliable) as a negotiator, Ronen Bar, and the war cabinet replaced him - they took his position to neutralize him. How a serious entity, state, organization or whatever can negotiate with israelis and americans?

Lemmy.ml is an instance run by admins who are hardcore tankies and will enforce their ideology on their instance through various means from allowing (and pushing it themselves) propaganda (Such as Russia being justified in some way to invade Ukraine) and known propaganda outlets (Like RT) to removing content on their instance critical of their favored authoritarian regimes such as Russia or China and even banning users for such speech or speech critical of them if it's off their instance (Just like the Reddit mods of ol!).
If it was just some random instance it would have been defederated from long ago like the rest of the "Tankie Triad" (Hexbear and Lemmygrad), but they've positioned lemmy.ml as the "flagship" instance and abused that position and influence to become large enough to keep other instances from defederating from them.
Which I believe is harmful to the Lemmy-verse's overall growth and outside reputation. I have seen it come up before on Reddit threads (and other testimonials from people who came back and tried it again) that "They tried Lemmy but it was a bunch of tankies and went back to Reddit"
I don't know about you, but I'd prefer Lemmy to not end up with the reputation for being "Tankie Central " or even worse "Voat 2.0".

curious if it has any of the official ‘enhanced cd’ logos or if it was similar to the ‘rainbow cd’ i was discussing recently where there was sort of a panic moment by execs wanting to release mixed media stuff, and being impatient about the blue book getting finalized/the initial proposals being kinda wonky…
The main feature is a single by Ai Orikasa, aka the voice of Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo, but her name doesn't even show up on the cover and the music video is distinctly lo-fi. I wonder if any of her fans even knew this song existed?
My first foray into these CD's was a similar disc which had a data track for the first track, on it was a installer for the newly released WordPerfect 6.0, also without any Enhanced label. Because individual blocks, be it for a user or instance, are not blocks. It's a barely functioning "mute", and is likely the way dessalines wants it since it was implemented this way 4 years ago and not a peep on fixing it since. Even now as they barrel towards a 1.0 release, nothing.
The only true block on Lemmy, is defederation or site bans (for individuals)
Even if it did work as expected, it still allows their toxic misinformation and propaganda to spread throughout the Threadiverse. Scaring away new users and making it look like we "accept" it because there's ever decreasing push back to it
.world has not defederated from Lemmy.ml, I really wish they would, being the largest it would be of huge boost to the health of the Threadiverse

Thanks for the heads up. I’m surprised that the support channel/community on .world doesn’t have a post requesting outright defederation from .ml. I’ve searched through nearly two years of posts there but found nothing substantial.
I don't think it was on the support comm, but they did respond on a thread about it once on why they don't defed from them like they did the other 2.
It boiled down to 3 things: big comms, official Lemmy support comms and the fact the devs rolled out instance blocking tools
The 1st one, I'm hopefully solving with my cross-posting and calls for boycotting, the third one is by calling attention to the fact that it doesn't work as one would think. Pretty sure everyone thought block meant block when it was being discussed.
I have a copy. A long the same line is Robert Anton Wilson. At the time I read very deep, they were surprisingly on target. I read them both during the same period.
