Uh guys? I'm watching Trump's ralley and he just was listing off all the bad groups of people and he mentioned we gotta do something about the Shylocks. I was like wait what? I had to look it up

My intention isn't to swing in, shaming ourguys for being excited--but rather to rein in the jumping whenever we're shown the barest ankle. It's a tease (and one likely even unintended, tbh).

Elon did a straight up Roman salute. A tease--perhaps intended.
Trump (after saving Israel just last week) is not rallying a cry against jews or even "just the business coy jews" in saying "Shylock."

He's doing boomer-tier, reddit name-calling. That's just an old businessman's "Voldemort", "Vader." It's calling out a *business* practice. He's just naming a fictional character, real reddit-level stuff.

Why such an obscure one? It's not. It's old business lingo. (I'm not in business, but even I've heard this, have read this term--even in normie books.)
It's like the left saying "the 1%" or the right saying "international globalists." They're not nudge-nudge nodding.
Trump is inviting 500,000+ Chinese on visas. He's not "saving Israel for last" or thinking about the 14 words. His married kids are married off to jews.

Have a good night despite this, guys, but don't gush over a boomer when he speaks like a redditor to show off his Yuge Brain at the 250th Pride Parade.

Not to mention you can turn them off or set eg KDE to functionally look like Xfce.

But then again - they also mention that 'you can tweak' Xfce as a key plus (after the key plus of it being standardised & not offering surprises). I don't think that a plus relative to other popular DEs.

I'm OK with there being articles, but it seems they def had the idea of the format of the article ("top 5 things") before they had the content/the pros drafted.

Libya: How the West Destroyed a Prosperous Country and Plunged It into Chaos journal-neo.su/2025/07/03/liby…

The 1775 Two Step That Led to American Independence

Regardless of Oval Office revisionism, Americans should never forget that their nation was forged in resistance to political slavery and claims by distant masters to unlimited power. Let us remember that the United States was founded on freedom, liberty and the rugged individualism of the White patriarchy. That's what they have taken from us.

The Declaration on Taking Up Arms contains flashes of wisdom that should have been burned into popular memory as much as any phrase from the following year’s Declaration of Independence. In 1775, Congress boldly declared that “our attachment to no nation upon earth should supplant our attachment to liberty.” Unfortunately, Washington policymakers long ago buried that maxim in their pursuit of dominating much of the globe.

Have you considered the void in opposition that the successes of Trump have created? The moderate Democrats, and even the left of center ones, are getting their asses kicked so badly, that it's left to the idiotic extremists on the left to rage and freak out.

Just over 6 months of a 4-year term and Trump has decimated the established Democrat establishment.

“It is a campaign of domestic terror that is being imposed on our residents on a daily basis. It is a level of psychological warfare that I’ve only seen in theaters of war. It’s terrifying seeing it being displayed here in my city”:

Roman wicker well with ladder found in Norfolk – The History Blog
thehistoryblog.com/archives/73…

"The well was constructed by cutting a shaft down to the water line, then intricately weaving the wicker wall to create what is basically a large, bottomless basket with sails (uprights) woven into the horizontal weavers lining the shaft. The gap between the wicker and the cut shaft was filled with large timbers which the archaeologists believe was waste wood."

In April 2024, Mongabay published a report about local concerns being raised in connection to the largest lithium mine operating in Zimbabwe.

Following publication of the report, Zimbabwe’s Environmental Management Agency took action to conduct an assessment of water pollution reported in association with the Matezva Dam – a drinking water source for hundreds of local people and their livestock. As a result, regulators fined the mining company for three violations.

This is a dangerous and deeply authoritarian move from the UK government. Terrorism legislation should not be used against non-violent protestors.

It's been condemned by UN human rights experts and Amnesty International have called it an "egregious abuse" of power.

Xbox was the only Microsoft product that I liked, paid for and used. I don't use Windows or Office -except when mandated at work-, but I've had the Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox Series S. I have over 300 owned digital games on Xbox. I decided to move away from Xbox a year ago, I never used Steam before Autumn last year, and now I game on the Steam Deck more than anything else. The writing has been on the wall for a few years now though, so this news isn't surprising. I still wanted to get an Xbox Series X to keep playing the digital games I collected over the years and was waiting for a price cut but they went and raised the prices instead.

I'm good with that!

For all the phases of the war, Palestinian factions (with Hamas as forefront) show a great ability on the negotiation tables, fighting diplomatically for the best possible future. Paragraph by paragraph. Day by day.
The problem is that the rest of the "players" look less like negotiators and more like sellers in an open market. There are no clear (written) proposals, no guarantees for agreements, no willingness to have a "serious" profile while negotiate. Nothing. The level of Hamas leadership is much greater than (even) the american delegations.

PS. An honor to Blinken. This guy is the biggest joke of diplomacy for the last years.

There is no truth on western media about USA role in Middle East. Israel is the proxy of the empire trying to flare up the whole region (in Ukraine they didn't succeed) to push for a wider war.

It also turns out that whatever decision gets on the table is a collective decision and not a "we decide and we order" decision from Hamas.

“All factions welcomed this unified reply,” the statement noted, adding that the response was forwarded to mediators “in a positive spirit and with full unanimity” after both internal and external consultations were finalized.

PIJ confirmed that Hamas consulted with them and provided detailed feedback on implementation for a responsible reply.

A #PFLP leadership source told Al-Hadaf that the Front met with Hamas to seriously discuss the draft. They offered feedback and amendments, which were approved, to stop the war and allow aid without obstacles. The PFLP’s changes concerned the wording of clauses to avoid exploitation by the occupation and a return of the aggression.

#DFLP affirmed that they held consultations with Hamas and #PIJ in #Egypt, and the unified national vision for the day after the war.

The #Fatah Al-Intifada movement congratulated #Hamas on its “great national achievement” against the “#zionist occupier and its partner, #American #imperialism and #NATO allies.” They expressed their confidence in Hamas’ continued leadership of the Palestinian resistance on the path to liberation from the river to the sea.

Among the apparent concessions to #Hamas in the document, one involves the timing of the release of Israeli captives held in Gaza. Israel had wanted ten living captives released within a week of a ceasefire taking effect, while the new proposal would see eight released on the first day and the remaining two on day 50. Hamas has expressed concern that Israel would resume the war after retrieving its captives.
The proposal states that negotiations for a permanent ceasefire should be concluded during the 60-day truce, but, if necessary, “the temporary ceasefire may be extended.” It adds that the U.S., Egypt and Qatar “will ensure that serious negotiations continue for an additional period,” if necessary. Palestinian negotiators believe this language allows too much leeway for Israel to resume the military assault on #Gaza should it decide it no longer wants a ceasefire and instead to continue its war of annihilation and conquest.

Israeli newspaper Maariv: The current understandings with Hamas are not new, and were proposed since March but Netanyahu rejected them for political reasons; Hamas has not changed its demands and insists on ending the war or serious negotiations; Netanyahu presented Washington with a partial agreement for prisoner release aimed at stabilizing his government domestically.
