It gives you that unmistakeable Snickers flavor profile. The "caramel" is gooey.
The nougat is the most different from the original candy bar. That's where the protein resides and it's much chewy-er than the nougat on the original candy bar. It's also more of a peanut butter flavor, than nougat.
But when combined with the chocolate coating, the caramel, and the peanuts, it mimics the flavor profile of the original Snickers bar well...and it feels decadent. Definitely satisfies that Snickers candy bar itch, and your sweet tooth.
Not bad for only 4 grams of sugar. It has 20 grams of protein from whey, caesin and milk. 10g of fat. 6g of fiber. 20 total carbs, 14 net carbs.
I have to try that now. I'm not a fan of the Quest cookies, and a lot of the protein bars are either made out of soy protein nuggets or some kind of overly-thick and chewy center that gets stuck in my teeth.
I like to take protein bars with me when I road trip because I can eat one to satiate hunger without overfilling myself or causing any sort of roadtrip-unfriendly alimentary canal issues. There's usually some hole-in-the-wall restaurant planned into my trip and I don't want to spoil my appetite for that with any kind of greasy pre-packaged snacks.
Yeah, the Quest cookie was less impressive, though not bad. The Peanut Butter is supposed to be the best flavor of theQuest cookies, because Peanut Butter is easy to add straight into a protein bar.
But I dont really see myself buying another Qwest cookie.

The Snickers Hi Protein is way healthier than a Snickers bar...with the reduction in sugar alone. The protein keeps you full longer as well.
If I would change anything about the Snickers Hi Protein Bar it would be to add more Peanut halves/pieces on top of the caramel layer. Seems like an easy missed opportunity.

Here's a simple hack if you have one of those insane old remotes like mine with a million buttons and a tiny mute button that makes cutting the BS at breaks a challenge:
Take a small file (even a nail file would do) and carefully notch the edge of the remote beside where the mute is.
Now you can find it by touch in a moment every time.
You'd think, after FORTY YEARS of doing my own laundry, cleaning my own home, paying my own bills, cooking my food, having owned two successful businesses, and entertained thousands when I was doing theatre and karaoke I'd treat myself better... think MORE of myself... take some satisfaction knowing I've DONE THE ADULT THING and been successful at it.
But there's nothing. There's no BIG payoff at the end. You just keep walking the path, hoping for the pot of gold and the pot is empty and needs to be washed, just like all the others you've washed in your life.
