That's what crosses my mind when they're there at all intersections in 95°-98° weather with no shade, surrounded by asphalt, concrete and hot vehicles. They're walking back and forth ALL day long. Any job has got to be easier than that.

I'm trying to be charitable, but don't really feel safe. Just scammed.

I'd rather give to an actual person that needed it they i know or a reputable local charity or my church.

Looks like I'm taking the train next month. We need to get two cars and a truck 3 hours away, but we only have two drivers.

First thought was drive two cars up a few days early, park one, and drive one car back. Six hours round trip for two for no good reason.

But I could drive up, get some business done and take a 3 hour train ride back. It's only $29 and the train station at this end is 30 minutes from home.

Trains good, planes bad!

@TJ of the Side-Eye When my Grandfather died when I was about 5 or so, I road a train from Seattle, WA to Davenport, IA, it was a 3-day ride and an experience I am fond of to this day.

I think it is sad that our railroads have been allowed to go to shit. Rather than electrify them like every other continent has done and depend upon them for the efficient and inexpensive transport of both goods and people, we let them rot. Horrible shame that is.

I would drive to the station in Sunnyvale, and ride up to Redwood City. The company had a shuttle bus from the train station during commute times, or it was only a mile or so to walk.

I lived near Lawrence Expressway and had a gig in Scotts Valley for half a year. Nice drive as long as there aren't any accidents.

i think this guy is running some kind of israeli disinfo operation. real sleazy stuff. pedo enabler and cover-upper.

The Web Design Journey: From Vision to Victory

When you hire a Singapore website designer, understanding the web design process can make all the difference. You don’t need to know code or design, but grasping the steps helps you work together smoothly, avoid surprises, and get a website that delivers.

Web design isn’t just about aesthetics or quick page setups. It’s a disciplined process that turns an idea into a functional site. Skipping or rushing steps can lead to a site that looks good but doesn’t perform.

Here’s a clear guide to the web design process, from start to finish.

Step 1: Set Your Goal

Every website begins with a purpose. Why are you building this site? What’s it meant to achieve?

Many jump in without a clear answer, thinking a website is just “required.” Without focus, the project can lose direction.

Are you aiming to capture leads? Drive online sales? Or create a professional presence so visitors don’t find a outdated social media page?

A professional Singapore website designer will start by asking about your goals, audience, and user expectations. This clarity shapes the entire project.

Step 2: Planning the Framework

Once your purpose is clear, it’s time to organize the site’s structure.

This involves deciding what pages are needed, how they’ll connect, and how users will navigate. A sitemap—a simple outline of the site’s pages—acts as a blueprint.

Next, wireframes are created to show the layout of each page. These are basic sketches of where elements like text, buttons, and images will go, without focusing on visuals yet.

This step might feel technical, but it’s crucial to avoid costly revisions later. A solid plan keeps the project on track.

Step 3: Shaping the Content

Content is often overlooked, but it’s the backbone of a great website.

A site’s design only works when paired with clear, engaging words. That means content needs to be tackled early, not as an afterthought.

You might write the content yourself, hire a copywriter, or see if the designer offers support. Many Singapore website designers don’t include full copywriting, so check this upfront.

Content isn’t just filler—it’s how you convey your value, connect with visitors, and drive action. Weak content can undermine even the best visuals.

Step 4: Crafting the Visuals

This is when the site starts to take shape visually, and things get exciting.

Using wireframes and content as a foundation, the designer adds colors, fonts, imagery, and branding to create the site’s aesthetic.

The design should reflect your brand—polished for a corporate site, or bold for a creative one. A skilled Singapore website designer ensures the visuals align with your goals and appeal to your audience.

You’ll review drafts, share feedback, and see tweaks. Be honest about your preferences, but trust the designer’s expertise for what works online.

Once approved, development begins.

Step 5: Building the Site

The development phase turns designs into a working website.

Depending on your needs, the site might be custom-coded or built on platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow. Your goals will guide the choice.

The developer ensures the site is responsive (works across devices), loads quickly, and includes features like forms, e-commerce tools, or social integrations.

Top Singapore website designers test thoroughly, checking for issues like slow load times or broken links that could erode user trust.

Step 6: Final Review and Launch

Before going live, you’ll test the site in detail. Check navigation, review content, try forms, and flag any final changes.

This is your chance to ensure everything’s perfect: Are images sharp? Do links work? Does the contact form function correctly?

Once you sign off, the designer handles the launch—setting up the domain, hosting, security, and backups.

A reliable Singapore website designer will offer post-launch support, like fixing bugs or training you on basic updates. Confirm what’s included to avoid surprises.

Choosing Your Designer

Singapore has many website designers, from freelancers to agencies. Quality and pricing can vary widely.

Don’t just judge by portfolios. Look at their process. Do they ask insightful questions? Communicate clearly? Offer guidance while respecting your vision?

Choose a designer who acts as a partner, turning your ideas into a site that performs online.

Final Thoughts

A great website comes from clear goals, careful planning, strong content, thoughtful design, and reliable development.

When hiring a Singapore website designer, pick someone who guides you through each step with expertise and transparency. Your website is your business’s digital foundation—build it with care.

Personally, I dont think there is one best Jelly/Jam/Preserve for a Peanut Butter & Jelly Sammich.

Variety is what makes the PB&J such a tireless classic.

I just had an Apricot Jam PB&J with Crunchy Peanut Butter. The mild flavor pushed the Peanut Butter forward in the sandwich, which was nice. As opposed to something like Strawberry, Marmalade or Raspberry which are very strong contrasting flavors...which are good in a PB&J in their own right, but different.

Then you have something like an Apple Butter or Pear Butter which brings a whole other flavor contrast to the humble PB&J.

I juice our sour cherries every 4th of july weekend. Can the juice and make cherry jelly as needed during the year. I do the same with concord grapes in the fall. We freeze our strawberries during june and make jam as needed. Then freeze our raspberries in august for jam as well. My fav is the cherry, but their all fantastic and like you say, its the variety that makes it never get old.

You should try making a pb&j sandwhich then cook it just like french toast. Omg!
