Someone e-mailed me asking why they couldn't find some piece of information on my website "any longer". Turns out ChatGPT had given them false information and invented a "source" URL pointing to my site.

After I explained it to them, their answer was "So ChatGPT really is human.... 😁".

"AI" is truly only being used by the intellectual elite. You can't help these idiots. And the rest of us has to pick up the trash.

I also want to add that the e-mail in question was written in Italian. My website only has content in German and English. I do speak Italian, but there is no way for this person to have known that just from looking at the website they have the e-mail address from.

It would have been their job to translate the mail to German or English before sending. They pushed that burden onto me as well. These people truly have no respect for other people's time.

Übrigens wird ausgerechnet gegen den ÖRR, der wenigens noch teilweise sehr gute Aufklärung betreibt, erstaunlich monoton im Fediverse gehetzt, als wäre hier alles voller AfD-blauer Trolle. Die Kritik gelte auch für Deutschland, sagte die Sprecherin des Büros, Ravina Shamdasani, auf Nachfrage. "Menschen sollten nicht nach Afghanistan zurückgeschickt werden", sagte sie. Vielen drohten dort Folter, unmenschliche Behandlung und Bestrafung. Zudem sei die humanitäre Lage verheerend.

Hopped on my bicycle today and after a couple of spins around the parking lot I decided to head down the Greenbelt in town. I didn't fall over, but I was a bit shaky riding along as it's been about 45 years since I rode. A big fuck you to the Canadian geese that thought it was a good idea to stroll out into the path and just stand there blocking my way. I managed to do just under 6 miles, relatively flat, but it felt good, and I did have some jelly legs when I finished my ride.

Beachtlich, ich kenne weit quatschigere Petitionen bei den üblichen Verdächtigen, die problemlos weit über 100.000 Leute gezeichnet haben, aber bei der #TaxTheRich Petition muss sich eins durch jede Menge Diskussionen mit Stellvertreter*innen von Superreichen quälen.

@Infoseepage Yes, they are BL-5c. I found 4 generic chinese PMR/UHF radios on flea market for 10€. Their batteries were kaput. I bought 8 batteries and am in progress of making a box for them which will keep radios extra batteries in dock and earpieces.

Forget about phones. New generation Garmin handheld navigation devices comes with fixed li-ion batteries. I literally cannot comprehend the decision logic behind that. All it took before was remove 2 AA put fresh ones and continue. Now you have to carry a powerbank and charge it for hours and do it in a dry environment. This is step backwards.
