@black6 @Richard yeah, it’s nuts… at the start of the year we had 5 QE’s in my dept (including the dept manager) and were looking to hire one to replace someone who had retired in Dec.
Now, at the end of this week, with me moving over to a “corporate quality role” we are down to 1 site QE, and the dept. has been w/o a manger since Feb.
I think the corporate director is not great at hiring. He hired the manager, who he ended up firing. He hired (2) QEs, one had mental issues And was fired, one was a tranny looking for special treatment and just quit. I guess you could say both had mental issues. Oh, and there was another guy who he hired who lasted just under a year before he resigned. That dude was a bit of a head case as well.
One of the positions I'm trying to fill was vacated by a tranny who quit right before I took over the team. Dodged that bullet. I never would have hired someone confused about their own gender to work in a PSM-regulated manufacturing facility. @Richard
@scottdhansen the manager got fired. He and the director were not aligned on what they felt the duties of the dept. should be. He wanted to focus on our mfg site solely and push all the supplier issues to the guy we hired to be the SUPPLIER QE. The director didn’t see it that way, and when asked to change how he was managing (basically have us do more things that didn’t really apply to our dept) he said nope, which got him walked out.
I forget how Wisconsin goes but Illinois is an at will state. I would think the Director will land on their feet despite the way things went. Our Quality director made many trips to places you probably never want to go (CN, TW, NL, UK, MX) to see manufacturing / supply hubs. He was a pompous ass. The Arch Linux team have reported the discovery of malware in the project’s community repository, the Arch User Repository. “On the 16th of July, at around 8pm UTC+2, a malicious AUR package was uploaded to the AUR. Two other malicious packages were uploaded by the same user a few hours later. These packages were installing a script coming from the same GitHub repository that was identified as a Remote Access Trojan (RAT). The affected malicious packages are: librewolf-fix-bin, firefox-patch-bin, zen-browser-patched-bin” Anyone who has installed these compromised packages should remove them and be aware their systems were potentially open to malicious, remote access.

I agree that it's important to be confident that what you say is true before saying it. That's part of having integrity. It's also important to understand the difference between truth and belief - something most people today are very terrible at.
That said, I will *always* favor disclosure. It's far worse to hide the truth than to say something and be wrong about it. The latter can be fixed with open discussion and education. The former has no civil solution.
