Might I suggest that the D-party form a shadow government with shadow agencies to replicate at least the policy making aspects of the gov't that FFOTUS is tearing down.

For example, begin with a medical advisory panel to give us trustworthy policy regarding vaccinations and drugs.

Etc.

It need not be large or expensive, just cherry pick, at least at the start, the most critical places to give the public information that it most needs.

@violetmadder @skyfaller @aburka Thanks for the pointer. I am glad to learn that I am following an idea that has been explored by others who are more thoughtful than I am.

I might add that wikipedia article does itself a disservice in that it seems to have been written by someone who's historical and worldview is limited to Marxist-Communist related theories. That will limit its ability to persuade people who are not adherents.

For example, the article could have mentioned the various splits of the papacy before the renaissance.

The modern usage section mentions counter-power as a term used to distinguish work beyond the M/L approach. Parallel power is another term that similarly extends the idea past the binary premise since there can be multiple layers and a variety of organizations building power in parallel with each other simultaneously. The better we get at cooperating and finding synergy instead of seeing it as a competition, the harder we are to stop!

People like the establishment Democrats want to keep us dependent on them, just standing around clapping for them like they're dying fairies who need more magic-- instead of standing up and figuring out how people get real shit done in the shadow of systems that don't actually work for us. It seems very daunting when it's unfamiliar, but we've been kept ignorant of our options for a reason. Good news is we aren't starting from scratch! Many generations have dealt with problems like this throughout history all over the world.

My old roommate owns a vegetable seed distribution company, and I've done a bunch of ride-alongs with him on large farms in central California.

I saw a one-of-a-kind spinach harvesting machine/robot. It looked like a zamboni that was around twice the size of a pickup truck. The machine harvested the leaves and blew them into a huge plastic bag out the back. Maybe 10ft long bags.

It was a very cool machine.
