@meowski iunno - i've just seen people talking about it. not in the loop someone got their account shut down 14 hours after a (legitimate) csam abuse complaint, and that someone was saying they always take care of it within 24 hours, but this time there was basically no communication just: "we received a csam complaint, remove it" and then 14 hours later "banned, fuck yo data" ive seen other complaints too, but this was the most recent one i saw
minor complaints notwithstanding i still don't see any better freeze peach options. only question is whether you can actually get a VM from them at the moment cause they have been resource limited in the past. i did open a ticket recently with a question about some networking stuff which they didn't respond to. i wasn't too thrilled about that. overall i feel ok about it still. i also use linode for work related stuff but wouldnt' recommend that unless you are a big libtard who only posts left wing thoughts.

It works to about 3 miles with a 20' pole, but i have 50' poles and 90' trees, so if the internet or power did go off for *weeks* i absolutely would do this, and put signs on the highway saying "tune to [redacted] FM for news and aid information" I even have a dedicated computer that runs on a solar panel to run the station. but i'm weird, i think.

i can't actually deny that i've been reinventing the wheel when it comes to life, i've noticed that a lot of stuff that worked for me even in modern times seems to be written in the bible
it's just that i never bothered to read it or went to church (though honestly, my first time at a church in a while makes me reluctant to join any)
I recommend Chesterton's Heretics and Orthodoxy books. Dense but casual enough, Heretics is GK ribbing modernists and Orthodoxy is about this subject (didn't watch video, going by the info blob) and a response to some notable enough guy going "You can't just slap everyone with witty and insightful insults and refuse to elaborate."
