Yeah it's kinda weird. The combat's still really good though despite the parry focus and it's got no shortage of bases for me to clear out and optional bosses, but I'm also gliding through nippon hunting for shrines and cats too while amassing Nioh-esque loot
As far as I can tell the post-game just allows you to turn on fun mode and refills all the outposts and missions with end-game setups and boss rematches. I haven't found the dojo yet but I think if I do I can also get a boss select there too but I do find something somewhat relaxing about hiking through beautiful scenic nippon to collect more crafting bullshit and grindbits
