Would you be interested in trying one of my paper airplane programs? It's a great hands-on STEAM lesson and I'd be happy to donate one if you wouldn't mind helping me with a photo release. You seem like a really dedicated teacher and if this would be helpful or interesting, I'd love to support your group with this donation. If you and your team want to try this, DM me and we can make a plan.

And there's often the defense of "the fine is too high for me particularly, and therefore excessive" as well.

Further, and the compliment to your point, the more intelligent you are, the more likely the court will "throw the book" at you.

A low IQ person "was mistaken" or "didn't know better." A middle class home school mom who can afford such a life (probably because he husband is the bread winner) would be treated like a fully competent adult, and all wrongs would be deem knowing and intentional or should have known.

I mention home school moms because of the close association between home schooling and truancy laws. It's usually really easy to avoid, but simple administrative mistakes can make the difference depending in state law, and states can make allegations even if bullshit.

I know nothing about home schooling in NJ, so the example may be irrelevant, but nonetheless, in spirit, it's correct. They'll use this to target the middle class and particularly the politically unpopular.

I don't agree with everything France does, but I'm often quite impressed with how far they go to think ahead and figure out what kind of shenanigans someone is gonna pull so they can get out in front of it with regulation. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that having Made It in France is when you're high ranking in the government, so they do manage to pull best and brightest...

JD Vance on Fox News Sunday:

"A lot of Americans want answers [about the Epstein files]. I certainly want answers.”

As William Kristol notes,

"With this bland statement, Vance succeeded—inadvertently, needless to say!—in reminding us that we don’t yet have the answers we want and deserve."

"So Vance’s comments contributed to the sense that the question of the Epstein files is still very much an open issue, one that the administration has to deal with."

Translated, Vance is saying,

"The Democrats covered up the Epstein files, because they're full of names of top Democrats.

So this is why we in the Trump administration can't release them."

"If Vance’s attempt to switch public blame onto Democrats was the big idea to emerge from his strategy meeting with attorney general Pam Bondi and FBI director Kash Patel, which according to CNN he convened at the White House last week, then their labours appear to have backfired….

Within minutes of the Fox News interview being broadcast, social media began to hum with renewed cries of 'release the files!'”

"What JD did … wasn’t just dumb; it was dangerous for Donald. He reignited a bipartisan firestorm over a scandal the Trump White House has been desperately trying to contain. He gave every critic of Trump’s Epstein promise a megaphone. And he reminded the country that the President’s name appears 'multiple times' in those files—not according to some left-wing conspiracy rag, but according to AG Pam Bondi’s own DOJ review."

Imagine thinking I'm trying to copy a blue checkmark account by just using AI to create a CNN inspired logo that happens to be the same as the Gentile News Network. I'm really going to hurt the revenue stream of some big Twitter account on the Fediverse guys. Me and my sub-200 follows are such a threat. Shitposting for free is such a competition lol. Here buy my merch from my non-existent store.

Anyways, I'm not the Gentile News Network. This is literally a temporary funny theme I've adopted for maybe a few weeks to a month. I also created the MSNGC logo and name in the same profile. "What is MSNGC?" you ask? The Moist Shekel News - Goy Central. Did someone come up with this one too? Am I stepping on some heavy toes with my featherweight digital presence? Which other spiritual kike is offended?

@haui we've never had a perfect president and we likely never will. obama did a lot of nuking of muslims but he did it a lot less than trump currently is. and in addition to being a better president in myriad other ways, crucially for the purposes of this discussion, he also treated putin with the lack of respect a dictator deserves. i say, in this particular issue, yes he is.

I'm really sorry but come on, we are not as stupid as Americans.

"US President Barack Obama hosted youthful Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Friday, underscoring his guest's meteoric rise and increasingly pivotal role in managing strained US-Saudi ties.

Bin Salman, the king's son and the country's defence minister, has met the biggest of Washington's big hitters during a week-long visit.

He held talks with the CIA director, the secretaries of state, defense, treasury, commerce and energy as well as leading members of Congress.

His meeting with Obama took place in the Oval Office, a rare honor for a non-head of state, one not afforded to the Dalai Lama earlier in the week." middleeasteye.net/news/obama-m…

2 years later: "The CIA has concluded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally ordered the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, despite the Saudi government’s denials that the de facto ruler was involved, according to a senior US official and a source familiar with the matter."

@AVincentInSpace you call Putin a dictator while there is Trump on the same seat in the USA. We have a problem of basic understanding of politics. We have a basic problem of acknowledge of what American Presidents represent. We have another problem of "playing with the images". And in the end I'm the one who didn't read what you write?
The most serious problem is that I give energy to answer seriously to another person who thinks that their president should be superior in front of other leaders, to be able to dominate the rest of the world and finally to be a respected Ruler. Ok, I know there are some benefits for this way of thinking (of the slaves) but the whole mindset needs a format. @haui

@prolrage
I dont think it is worth it to engage any further. The person obviously has no idea what they are talking about and tries to spin their mistake as a win against the "evil leftists".

Reality check: america is one of the worst countries in the entire world by a huge margin. Not only a settler colony that genocided their way to white rule, also supporting most dictatorships and even posting openly about it.

And people without brains talking on mastodon. Good night.

Quelques réflexions sur le prochain sommet

Par Moon of Alabama

Adventures in Funemployment 20

Lots of this goes around. And I do mean lots: once in every 2 or 3 days a sudden onset happens. It's always the same ethnic group running the circus, always a fly-by-night shell company, and always at desperate pay rates. They are preying on programmers who are losing hope.

Customers are big names like Verizon or Digital Ocean, where the management has ceded control over hiring long ago. In this example, it's AMD.

I explored a couple of these leads when they just started happening, but now I ignore them. It's literally more lucrative to be a flight instructor.

UN chief: Israeli settlement plan in the West Bank violates international law tehrantimes.com/news/516772/UN…

From today's installment from BitcoinAndShow.com

The Bank for International Settlements has floated one of the most dangerous ideas I’ve seen aimed at Bitcoin: a provenance-based “risk score” for coins before they can be converted to fiat. They frame it as anti-money-laundering compliance. I see it for what it is: an attack on fungibility, the core property that makes money work in the first place.
Fungibility means one unit is the same as any other. A dollar is a dollar, no matter whose pocket it was in yesterday. An ounce of gold is an ounce of gold, regardless of which vault it came from. The BIS wants to shatter that by attaching a permanent transaction history to every unit and ranking it as “clean” or “tainted.”

Once you start down that road, every currency becomes unusable. Human activity will touch every coin (fiat or digital) with something “illicit” eventually. The value erodes as people start discounting units with the wrong history. In time, all value gets wiped out. Maybe that’s their endgame: destroy the medium so only centrally approved money survives. Or, going even further, this is a way to have permanent and infinite inflation accepted by the mainstream public because you will always have to inject new, "clean" money into the system. Either way, if this gets implemented globally, we’re looking at a direct threat to the very concept of money.

Now, here’s the thing: we already have the technology to route around this. Bull Bitcoin just rolled out a service in Europe that lets you make Euro IBAN payments directly with Bitcoin, without manually converting to fiat. That means you can pay suppliers, settle invoices, or top up a debit card, and on the other side it looks like a standard bank transfer. It’s a bridge between the Bitcoin economy and the fiat world that doesn’t require permission from the BIS or any other central gatekeeper. That’s what a real payment rail for a circular Bitcoin economy looks like. You earn in Bitcoin, you spend in Bitcoin, and when you have to touch fiat for some reason, it’s done on your terms.

If the BIS or anyone else wants to attach their little compliance scores to every coin, the answer is simple: don’t comply. Keep your transactions peer-to-peer. Use services that let you pay directly in Bitcoin. Support merchants, contractors, and individuals who accept it without demanding a purity test for your UTXOs. This is where civil disobedience comes in. Gandhi didn’t wait for the British to approve his protests. He simply refused to cooperate with an unjust system. We can do the same. Not through marches or slogans, but through economic action. By continuing to transact in Bitcoin directly, without asking permission, we make their compliance schemes irrelevant.

Yes, they can clamp down on on-ramps and off-ramps. They can try to make life difficult for anyone touching fiat. But they cannot stop you from settling with another human being in Bitcoin if you both control your own keys. That must be non-negotiable because sovereignty is taken and defended. The BIS proposal is a warning shot. Bull Bitcoin’s service is an example of how to respond. The rest is on us. We either build and use the tools that keep us free, or we let them close the last doors to financial independence.
