Soit dit en passant, je ne sais plus si je te l'avais dit à l'époque, mais je trouve aussi que cette histoire (et la façon dont tu la racontes) est un très bon support pour illustrer (…bon, à destination des devs, parce que pour les autres gens évidemment ce sera moins parlant ^^") le concept du rasoir d'Ockham (ou d'Occam. Bref, le principe de parcimonie, quoi).
Tu repères un truc bizarre, tu commences par prioriser les hypothèses possibles en fonction de ce qu'elles impliquent, en vérifiant en premier les trucs les plus faciles à vérifier. C'est la tactique la plus efficace, parce que la plupart du temps, l'erreur est dans ton code et accuser le compilo ou pire serait juste se voiler la face. Mais parfois, comme ici, tu tombes sur des trucs tellement chelous que tu dois évacuer les trucs les plus évidents et aller examiner celles qui remettent en cause le plus de choses. D'un point de vue démarche, je trouve ça très chouette.

The most effective way to keep democracy permanently disabled is to maintain the illusion that it exists. Rather than dissolving democratic institutions, global capital zombified them much like a deep fake that steals your voice, your face, and your reputation. This pseudo-democracy may sound like an oxymoron, but it isn’t. Technically people can still vote, but their votes are the result of microtargeted brainwashing by media empires owned by global capital. Decision-making and debate continue to take place via “democratic” parliamentary procedures, but all MPs are prostitutes to corporate stakeholders. But along with the illusion of democracy, there is an illusion of politics altogether – that is, the illusion that people have choices when they enter the voting booth. We live with the delusion that our vote still counts for something, because we have not started questioning this system. We may have more plurality than ever, but it is different flavours of the same narrative. While old fascism dismantled all political parties, the capitalist terror state has made them all the same, achieving the same result. Voting is pointless when the necrosystem owns us, the media have rendered truth irrelevant, and choice is now limited to one corrupt politician over another. We are powerless as long as profit owns our politics.

When I first graduated highschool I took a job as a cashier at the local grocery store. One day an elderly woman approached my checkout counter, clutching a small list and a determined expression. “Young man,” she said, “I’d like to buy half of a watermelon.” I was caught off guard. “Uh, I’m sorry, ma’am, but we only sell whole watermelons,” I explained. Undeterred, the woman leaned in slightly, “Well, I’m old, and I don’t eat much. Whenever I buy a whole watermelon, half of it goes to waste. Could you ask your supervisor if there’s anything he can do?” Reluctantly, I nodded, and headed toward the back of the store to find my supervisor. As I entered the office, I muttered, “You’re not going to believe this—some cranky old lady wants to buy half a watermelon.” I froze mid-sentence. The elderly woman had followed me, and was now standing directly behind me, Thinking quickly, I turned back to my supervisor with a smile. The case involving #TomArtiomAlexandrovich in #Nevada is now stirring controversy, with politicians and social media commentators accusing the government of interfering in the judicial process to allow the cybersecurity official to return home without facing justice.
Court records from Nevada’s #ClarkCounty show that #Alexandrovich was charged with luring or attempting to lure a child online to engage in sexual conduct – a felony that carries up to 10 years in jail in the case of a conviction. He was released on a $10,000 bond, but no monitoring appeared to take place.
Richard Davies, a criminal defence lawyer in Nevada, told #AlJazeera that the apparent lack of conditions on Alexandrovich’s release despite the seriousness of the charges was “fishy”.
“Average Joe gets arrested, he would appear in front of the justice of the peace within 24 hours. The justice of the peace in that county would issue bail conditions, which very typically would include a GPS device, restrictions on movement, not being allowed to leave the state,” Davies said.
“So the fact that this individual was not only allowed to leave without an ankle bracelet or a GPS device, not only to leave the state, but also leave the country, is highly unusual and suspect.”
This is why no more #dual-nationals can be permitted to vote or hold office anywhere in the world. Whether they are #Jewish or #Somali, it has been repeatedly demonstrated that the only thing they really care about is their fellow #nationals, which most certainly does not mean Americans even when they happen to be U.S. citizens. Dual-nationalism shouldn’t even be legal, and at least in the #USA, it’s not even actually law.
If it’s true that the U.S. government was not involved, then Occam’s Razor would focus attention on the nationality of the judge who let the pedo run away to what is apparently a sanctuary zone for child abusers.
