*sigh* So for the last few months we have had a cat pinging our security camera but we never saw him in real life. He was a ghost. We jokingly referred to him as Kevin. Yesterday, Kevin borrowed the single brain cell shared by all orange cats and decided to improve his lot in life by crying and snuggling with my feet as I was taking out the garbage. What could I do? Damn it Kevin, now you’ve made things complicated. #CatDistributionSystem #AllOrangeCatsShareOneBrainCell #cats

alright i am done for the night. tired of breaking bolts.

civi exhaust is apart and the whole shifter assembly is ready to come out for me to change the bushings. i didn't get it out tonight but that's ok.

after that, it's on to the actual tranny. just support the engine, remove the mounts and then lower it.

then we get to the actual thing that started all this, the clutch

however i am doing a few other needed things of course while everything is apart. the trick will be not letting this turn into a weeks-long project of

On Sept. 11, 2022, engineers at a flight control center in Turin, Italy, sent a radio signal into deep space. "Why Doesn't Hamas Release The Hostages?", And Other Reader Questions

The most important thing to make clear here is that anyone who suggests that Israel's onslaught in Gaza has anything whatsoever to do with hostages is either ignorant or lying.

If colleges are on the hook for student loan debt then:

  1. Colleges will only offer courses that lend themselves to a profitable career. (No more wymyn's studies)
  2. Colleges will have an incentive to shut down the party lifestyle and require students to attend class.
  3. Colleges will be more selective in the students they let in, looking for people that want to learn and start a career.

The last time I felt truly represented by a movement was the r/antiwork shit a few years back. Most politics since then including the shooting of the United Healthcare guy and whatever the fuck Mamdani or AOC are doing feel custom-made for the median zoomer that can comfortably support themselves.

r/antiwork was obviously never a substantial or well-developed thing, it was a fucking subreddit, but what the fascists did to it was they forcibly removed it from the bounds of discourse and they then proceeded to deny that there had ever been anything there in the first place.

So what happens now is that anyone who can't work, who can't find work, who doesn't want to work (goddess forbid all three) necessarily has to be suicidal, because there isn't really another choice. This is very deliberate mental warfare by the fascists. When you feel that there's an irreconcilable divide between yourself and those who can be self-sufficient, that is also the work of the fascists.

I don't really think about movements anymore. I just want to hurt people.

If your theories of immigration and altruism do not include costly exchanges up to and including the death of the altruist, then the social sciences are lagging the biological sciences by roughly 60 years. It also makes destabilizing levels of immigration an outside concept problem. I'm of course not saying this is happening, but if even thinking about it is beyond your ken then...

America’s mortality crisis is a national disgrace. 700,000 people die yearly who’d survive in peer nations. For adults 25–44, deaths are 2.6× higher than in other rich countries.

While COVID exacerbated this, the root causes stem from a frayed safety net, unaffordable healthcare, opioid scourges, economic despair, and systemic policy failure. Millennials and Gen Z face plummeting lifespans amid unattainable housing, stagnant wages, and eroded public health.
