Refugees and migrants are often the easiest targets when fear and suspicion rise, even though they have little to no control over political decisions. No matter where people stand on the conflict itself, basic human rights and protection for civilians should never be up for debate. I really hope the situation doesn’t lead to even more suffering for those who are already displaced and at risk.
