Noa Limona details in #Haaretz how the Shin Bet intelligence service summoned a Palestinian student from Haifa University for interrogation regarding his activities with the #Hadash (left) party’s university branch.

The student underwent body searches twice - upon arrival and before entering the interrogation room. When he asked if this was a formal investigation, the Shin Bet operative said no, adding cryptically that “the investigation will be underground, without light.”

The operatives explicitly warned the student not to “cross red lines” or “even come close to them.” They allegedly threatened that if he did, they would raid his parents’ house at 4 AM and destroy it.

[…] Haaretz has learned that another Arab student who belongs to the Haifa University Hadash branch was summoned for a similar warning talk. The second student said he preferred not to talk to Haaretz for fear of the consequences.

Hungary: Antifa Prisoner Maja Hospitalized Following Hunger Strike


For almost a month, the non-binary antifa activist Maja has been on hunger strike to denounce the conditions of their imprisonment in Hungary and to ask to be sent back to Germany. On Tuesday, July 1, their health deteriorated so much that hospitalization was necessary. Maja was moved 260 km from Budapest to a hospital near the Romanian border.

Solidarity actions continue (banks have been stoned in Shwelm and Leipzig – see here and here), but in the face of this alarming situation, their supporters are calling for an intensification of mobilization.

At least 20 people were killed and many more injured in intensive bombing by Israeli forces across Gaza, according to medical reports. The bombing began at dawn, hitting multiple locations and causing severe damage to buildings and civilian infrastructure. Seven of the dead were reportedly shot while waiting for humanitarian aid. A cafe in the Gaza City port, which also provided internet services, was struck, killing journalist Ismail Abu Hatab and injuring journalist Biyan Abu Saltan. The situation in Shifa Hospital is catastrophic, with many wounded arriving with burn injuries and a lack of resources. Gaza Resistance Targets Soldiers and Settlements, Yemen Targets Ben Gurion Airport


The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Tuesday that it launched a salvo of Q20 rockets targeting the Zionist settlements of Nir Yitzhak and Mivtahim.

The rockets were fired from an area close to where military vehicles were operating north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Al-Qassam targets engineering equipment, armored units


On Saturday, June 28, al-Qassam announced its fighters had targeted four Zionist engineering excavators with al-Yassin 105 shells in the town of Aabasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, setting the equipment ablaze.

The group confirmed that its fighters observed casualties among occupation soldiers at the site and noted that Zionist helicopters landed in the area to evacuate the wounded.

In a separate operation, the al-Qassam fighters also targeted a Merkava tank and a D9 military bulldozer with powerful roadside explosive devices in the same area.

Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, announced two operations on Tuesday against Zionist gatherings and vehicles in Khan Younis.

@Nanook I see you're continuing to ignore even the facts I put in front of you. Your story about pre-history does not seem to match those facts.

As for even further back, i.e. "500 million years ago", well you've clearly not kept up with the current science, as per Tom's demonstration.

Meanwhile it is becoming clearer and clearer that rapid changes in CO₂ levels will change the climate too fast for plants and animals to migrate and evolve and survive, even when "fast" is considered on geological timescales, never mind the abrupt changes we humans are causing. We simply don't know where the tipping points are for these problems within the current conditions on Earth, so even threatening to continue as-is is a risk beyond insane.

Your apparent claim that the continuing use of fossil fuels will somehow cause us to succeed faster on fusion and better fission reactors is so blindingly backwards I can't even begin to figure out where to start. In fact it is clearly stated by all of those working on such technology that one of their primary motivations for doing so is to be able to replace fossil fuel use! Indeed Bill Gates is one of the large investors supporting nuclear reactor technology development.

Conflating deaths from the cold with having any part of the problem is gas-lighting.

Introduction

The Israeli military's ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip has reached a tipping point—not just in terms of human suffering and infrastructural devastation, but also in moral clarity. In a shocking turn, several Israeli soldiers have publicly likened their conduct in Gaza to that of Nazi forces during the Holocaust, a parallel long considered taboo within Israeli discourse. These admissions, reported by Haaretz, illuminate the horrifying extent to which violence has been normalized and rationalized within the ranks of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), even as the civilian population of Gaza is subjected to what many experts deem deliberate and criminal acts of warfare.

War Crimes and Humanitarian Catastrophe

According to data compiled by Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor and corroborated by Al Jazeera and Human Rights Watch, more than 500 Palestinians were killed in May 2025 alone while waiting for humanitarian aid, not as casualties of crossfire, but as targets in supposedly secure zones34. The Israeli government has repeatedly bombed aid distribution centers, refugee camps, and UN schools, while enforcing a siege that has led to famine-like conditions. Calls by organizations such as Amnesty International, UNRWA, and B’Tselem for investigations into these abuses have largely been met with diplomatic deflection or outright denial by Israeli authorities89.

Conclusion

When Israeli soldiers themselves begin to draw parallels to the Nazi regime, it is a dire alarm—not just for Israeli society, but for the international community. These testimonies are not anomalies but reflections of a system that devalues Palestinian life. Quand Les Morts S’accumulent, Les Mensonges Trébuchent
(par un observateur qui a de la mémoire)

On nous avait parlé de 25 morts. Une riposte maîtrisée, nous disait-on, à peine un frisson sur l’échine de l’État hébreu. Mais voilà que la vérité se dessine, ou du moins, un fragment bien plus consistant : 1 226 morts côté israélien, selon... les propres sources israéliennes.

Un carnage soigneusement planqué sous le tapis :

6 généraux évaporés,
32 agents missiles désintégrés,
78 membres du renseignement effacés,
27 marins coulés,
198 aviateurs rayés du ciel,
462 soldats de terre engloutis,
et 423 civils... qu’on ne pourra pas ressusciter avec des slogans patriotiques.

Et pendant ce temps-là, #Trump tweete victoire, et #Netanyahu éructe gloriole. Deux caïds de pacotille, aussi courageux que des coqs derrière des vitres blindées. À les entendre, c’est à croire que c’est Téhéran qui supplie pour la paix… sauf que Tel-Aviv a fumé sous les missiles, et que Khamenei n’a pas bronché.

Alors quoi ? Le #Mossad s’est trompé de cible ? Les renseignements étaient made in PowerPoint ? Ou bien la vieille arrogance coloniale a cru qu’en face, ce serait un #Gaza bis, à écraser entre deux drones ?

Erreur monumentale.
L’ #Iran a frappé fort, méthodiquement, et a montré ce que c’est qu’une riposte stratégique grandeur nature. Israël, humilié, tente de recoller les morceaux et de garder la face. Mais les chiffres, eux, ne mentent pas.

Et quand les cercueils rentrent par centaines, même les faux héros ferment leur gueule.

Il y a 84 ans, le 30 juin #1941, l'Organisation des nationalistes ukrainiens déclenchait l'un des #pogroms les plus sauvages de l' #histoire moderne contre les #Juifs de #Lvov. Pendant trois jours, la ville devint un véritable enfer.
Hommes, femmes et même enfants juifs furent traînés dans les rues, matraqués à coups de matraque, frappés à coups de pied jusqu'à en briser les os, abattus à bout portant et violés ; certains furent tués par de simples civils ukrainiens transformés en monstres sanguinaires. Des femmes enceintes avaient le ventre ouvert.
Des nourrissons étaient écrasés contre les murs. Des victimes étaient forcées de ramper nues dans les caniveaux, fouettées, humiliées et crachées dessus. Les personnes qui ont fait cela sont aujourd’hui des héros nationaux de l’ #Ukraine.

84 years ago, on June 30th, 1941, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists ignited one of the most savage pogroms in modern history against the Jews of Lvov. For three days, the city became a hellscape. Jewish men, women, and even children were dragged into the streets, bludgeoned with clubs, kicked until their bones shattered, shot point-blank, and raped; some to death by ordinary Ukrainian civilians turned bloodthirsty monsters.
Pregnant women had their bellies sliced open. Infants were smashed against walls. Victims were forced to crawl naked through gutters while being whipped, humiliated, and spat on.
The people who did this are national heroes of Ukraine today.

No surprises here—Zohran Mamdani’s lead has grown even larger. And the Democratic Party establishment is still losing their minds.

His victory confirms what most of us have long suspected: that establishment Dems care more about appeasing their big-money donors than their base. And the base, quite frankly, is sick of their shit.

We deserve better than a Republican-lite party. We deserve a party that actually fights for us. Instead of trying to cut Mamdani down, they ought to lift him up—and follow his lead.
