I've been seeing many phishing scams and when I do a whois using arin.net with the IP address the scam is originating from, it refers me to apnic (asia pacific NIC), and when I do a lookup there, it refers me to afrinic, afrinic identifies the owner of the IP address as computer security in New Jersey USA. First, it is odd that there is a double referral, before this I have never seen this. Second it is odd that Afrinic would list IP space being held by someone in the United States, and lately no legitimate computer security firm would be sending phishing scams to someone unknown to them.

"There's no water here to bathe" -it's been 4 days since he showered. He believes there're ~400 ppl inside #AlligatorAuschwitz.

Donald Trump is visiting a couple of his golf course in Scotland in a 'semi-private' visit later this summer....

This will be in addition to any second state visit that is organised.

My guess is many people in Scotland might want to voice their (shall we say) displeasure at him rocking up in Scotland.....

A really helpful few posts from a Junior Doctor who is paid £20 an hour explaining her pay and conditions.

In all of this we should remember that since 2008 pay for junior doctors has fallen by 20.8%. Over the same period from 2008 to 2025, the basic salary of MPs climbed from £63,291 to £93,904, an increase of 32.6%. Not including all their expenses.

Seems to me that they worth way more than 20 quid an hour.

Posts from Dr Eilidh Maria I'm paid £20 an hour. In my job at the moment, | help with emergency surgeries out of hours. Those surgeries are life saving. | identify surgical emergencies and start medical management. If there’s a trauma, | help stabilise the patient. I’m in £103,000 of student loan debt. | have GMC fees, MDU fees, royal college fees, and exam fees. If I need to call out a plumber overnight, or an emergency electrician. it’s £100+ an hour. They have their costs, | have mine. | should not be paid £20 an hour after 5+ years of university education, training as a doctor and working as hard as | do. And if you do believe doctors should be paid this much? Well you'll only end up with the type of healthcare system that you are paying for. And look at the state of it now. Do you really want it to get worse?

La controverse née des propos de Mathilde Panot n’est pas un dérapage, mais un révélateur : celui d’un affrontement entre deux visions de la société. D’un côté, ceux qui veulent armer toujours plus et surveiller chaque recoin de l’espace public, au nom d’un ordre autoritaire. De l’autre, ceux qui considèrent que la sécurité passe par la dignité, l’éducation, la prévention et un lien social solide. Dans un pays où 58 % des policiers municipaux sont désormais armés, où la vidéosurveillance s’impose comme un réflexe pavlovien, la France Insoumise tente de remettre le débat sur des bases politiques claires.

Les réactions outrées venues de l’extrême droite, mais aussi du Parti socialiste ou du gouvernement, montrent combien ce débat est devenu un totem : qui ose remettre en cause l’armement ou les caméras est immédiatement taxé de « complice des voyous ».
