A really helpful few posts from a Junior Doctor who is paid £20 an hour explaining her pay and conditions.
In all of this we should remember that since 2008 pay for junior doctors has fallen by 20.8%. Over the same period from 2008 to 2025, the basic salary of MPs climbed from £63,291 to £93,904, an increase of 32.6%. Not including all their expenses.
Seems to me that they worth way more than 20 quid an hour.

Dans un pays où 58 % des policiers municipaux sont désormais armés, où la vidéosurveillance s’impose comme un réflexe pavlovien, la France Insoumise tente de remettre le débat sur des bases politiques claires.
Les réactions outrées venues de l’extrême droite, mais aussi du Parti socialiste ou du gouvernement, montrent combien ce débat est devenu un totem : qui ose remettre en cause l’armement ou les caméras est immédiatement taxé de « complice des voyous ». Pourtant, les faits sont têtus : l’efficacité sécuritaire de ces outils reste très marginale, quand elle n’est pas nulle. C’est l’illusion sécuritaire qui est mise à nu ici, au profit d’un débat plus profond : voulons-nous une société de contrôle et de méfiance, ou une société fondée sur la confiance, la justice sociale et l’égalité réelle ?
