Elina Bakunova aka "Eli from Russia" visited Iran before the military conflict between Iran, Israel, and the US began. Before she left, her friends were like, "You're going to Iran? It's so dangerous!" But she found once she arrived in Iran, she never felt in any danger. The Iranian people were kind and curious. She feels the reality of Iran is different from how the media portrays it. She explores the city of Shiraz, visits geographic and historical landmarks, tries the local food, and so fourth. Her English-speaking guides (the whole video is conducted in English) are very good. Officially, Iran is an Islamic country with many restrictions, but many people have little interest in the religion and the restrictions, especially young people. People comply more in public but often in private people ignore the restrictions all the time. There is a difference between the government and the politics and the regular people. The video has very good music.

some of us have disabilities that make them damn nice to have. for healthy people I have no defense
pulling people in on fake charges are useful to the police because:
1) it gets you out of the street for that night
2) they can try to force you to accept unconstitutional release conditions like not attending protests for some length of time
3) they can collect your info (picture, fingerprints, name, possibly DNA)
4) they can try to frighten new protesters with scary felony charges that would never stick and try to get them to talk (interview) or flip and become an informant.
the important thing to remember is that if you're arrested:
Shut. The fuck up.
Don't say anything at all and demand to speak to a lawyer.
The charges are almost always made up and are created to do one of the things listed above and will blow over with time.
But the only word you know in jail is LAWYER. Like a Pokémon. Practice it now.

Something about the TX floods I haven't seen in other reports - the TX Department of State Health Services approved the disaster plans for Camp Mystic. Two days before the flood.
So the plan included evacuations, was posted in every building, trained to the counselors, etc.
Odd - the story says it was dark. No mention of flashlights, I had one when camping.... Even at a big Boy Scout camp.

Singapore’s streamlined business setup process attracts entrepreneurs from around the world. But one requirement often surprises new founders: the registered office address. It’s not just a line on a form—it’s a vital part of your business’s compliance and public image.
Here’s why registered office address services are a smart move for new businesses in Singapore and how they can help you stay focused on growth.
Every Singapore company must have a registered office address. This is the official address registered with ACRA (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority) for receiving government correspondence, legal documents, and official notices.
It’s not enough to use a P.O. box—it must be a physical location in Singapore, open during regular business hours. Since this address is publicly available through ACRA, it’s a visible part of your business’s identity.
Using your home or personal office as your registered address might seem convenient, but it’s not always the best choice. Many startups lack a permanent office, especially early on. Others prefer to keep their personal address private for security or professionalism.
A residential address can also make your business look less established. Clients or partners might question your credibility if your company is tied to a home address. And if you relocate, updating ACRA adds unnecessary paperwork.
Registered office address services solve these issues. For a modest fee, a provider offers a professional business address. They handle your mail and alert you to important documents, keeping your operations smooth and professional.
Singapore law requires private limited companies to appoint a company secretary within six months of incorporation. This role ensures compliance with ACRA’s regulations, managing tasks like filing annual returns, updating records, and monitoring deadlines.
Many providers offer registered office address services alongside secretarial services, creating a comprehensive package. This is ideal for new entrepreneurs who want to minimize administrative tasks and focus on building their business. Outsourcing both ensures compliance without the stress.
When choosing a registered office address service, reliability is key. You need a provider who notifies you quickly about incoming mail and doesn’t let important documents slip through. A firm offering secretarial services can add value by understanding compliance and helping you avoid penalties for missed deadlines.
Some providers offer extras like digital mail forwarding or acting on your behalf for specific tasks. Evaluate your needs and ask about these features to find a service that suits your business.
For startups watching their budget, any extra cost can feel like a stretch. But registered office address services are affordable—often just a few hundred dollars a year. The benefits include a professional image, privacy protection, and reliable mail handling.
When bundled with secretarial services, the value is undeniable. You’re investing in a system that keeps your business compliant and organized, freeing you from administrative burdens and letting you focus on growth.
If you’re starting a company, tackle this early to keep things simple. Many Singapore providers offer packages that include registered office address services and secretarial support, streamlining the incorporation process.
If your business is already established, switching to a professional address is straightforward—just update ACRA. Choose a provider who offers more than just an address, someone who can support your administrative needs as you grow.
Launching a business is a bold step, and administrative details shouldn’t slow you down. A registered office address service helps you meet legal requirements while projecting professionalism. Combined with secretarial services, it’s a practical way to stay compliant and focused.
It’s a small investment that pays off by letting you concentrate on what you do best: building your business.
Corporate secretarial services are an integral part of business management and compliance, particularly in the context of corporate secretarial services in Singapore.Entrust Public Accounting

The New People’s Army (NPA)-South Central Negros (Romeo Nanta Command) sanctioned the destructive quarry operation in Sitio Medel, Barangay Carabalan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental Province on July 4. The Red army paralyzed and burned two dump trucks and one backhoe.
The quarry equipment belongs to Barangay Carabalan captain Mildred Titular’s business. The total damage to the three quarry machines amounts to an estimated ₱11 million.
NPA-South Central Negros spokesperson Ka Dioneso Magbuelas said residents have long complained about the quarry operation because of its impact on the Paniplan River. He explained that the yearly excavation in the area deepened the river depriving the surrounding farmlands of irrigation.
The quarry operation is severely detrimental to the residents’ lives and livelihood. Crossing the excavation-deepened river has also become dangerous for residents.
Recall that the quarry company forced local residents to sign a “Free, Prior and Informed Consent” or FPIC in 2021 to allow its operations. At that time, the 94th IB was used to intimidate residents, distribute bribe money, and employ other divisive tactics to railroad the quarry operation.
“The NPA-South Central Negros’ punitive action serves as a reminder to companies and individuals against violating the human rights and livelihoods of the people in the name of profit,” Ka Dionesio said. He also warned that the people’s army will not hesitate to defend the people and the environment against quarries, mines, and destructive projects.
“The prevailing Red power in the mountains always stands for justice for the victims of abuse and deception,” Ka Dionesio stated.
Meanwhile, 94th IB troopers have reportedly arrived in Barangay Carabalan following the punitive action of the people’s army. The mercenary army clearly defends the interests of the destructive quarry, landlords, comprador bourgeoisie, and bureaucrat capitalists.

Oof, the extent to which performative social media VIPs and platforms will go out of their way to not engage community or support independent and marginalised artists is palpable, demoralising and sad.
Even here in the slightly alternative socials.
From the nuts and bolts of development, to the taste making of narrative hijacking "curators", down to your album or show announcement.
There was more hype about the fest coming then now when the artists are right here sharing their voice!
Help us with one last push out there, that there was an organic way. There is a community way. We must improve artistic agency and normalise more direct support, collaboration and mutual motivation.
These cost dearly in human exhaustion against a backdrop of terrible number go up models and infinite hurdles.

Head a guy on the radio a while ago talking about places.
We think of places as being permanent. Sometimes they seem permanent, like Yellowstone.
But most of the time it was the people and circumstances we remember, and associate with the place. And the "place" we remember is therefore long gone but creates a cognitive dissonance because it is physically there.
So you shouldn't aim to "get back to that place" but rather focuse on cultivating what made it good, in the here and now.

Power disruptions in Singapore, though uncommon, can disrupt business operations, leading to data loss, equipment damage, and downtime. An uninterruptible power supply system is vital for ensuring continuity, but many businesses select systems that fail to meet their needs, resulting in inefficiencies. This article examines common errors in choosing uninterruptible power supplies and provides practical guidance, incorporating structured cabling for a robust infrastructure.
Selecting an uninterruptible power supply in Singapore with incorrect capacity is a frequent mistake. Some businesses opt for smaller units, assuming they suffice, only to face insufficient backup power during outages, risking system failures. Others invest in oversized systems, leading to unnecessary costs for unused capacity, impacting budgets without proportional benefits.
Businesses should calculate the power consumption of critical devices, such as servers, computers, and CCTV systems, to ensure the Singapore uninterruptible power supply provides adequate runtime. Consulting an uninterruptible power supply company in Singapore offers expert assessments, aligning the system with specific operational requirements. This ensures cost-effectiveness and reliability.
For example, a retail chain using IT structured cabling for point-of-sale systems and CCTV cameras can collaborate with professionals to determine precise power loads, avoiding capacity mismatches. This approach supports seamless operations and cost-efficiency, essential for Singapore’s competitive business landscape.
The performance of uninterruptible power supplies relies on battery reliability, yet many businesses neglect battery lifespan and maintenance. Batteries degrade over time, and without regular upkeep, they may fail during outages, leading to data loss or equipment damage. This oversight often becomes apparent during critical moments, disrupting operations.
Businesses should choose an uninterruptible power supply system with durable batteries suited to their power needs. Regular testing and maintenance schedules are crucial to ensure batteries remain functional. Partnering with an affordable uninterruptible power supply in Singapore by Comnet Systems that provides maintenance services helps avoid failures and maintain continuity.
For instance, a logistics firm integrating a structured cabling system for warehouse operations can schedule routine UPS battery checks to ensure reliability during outages. This proactive approach protects critical systems, such as inventory management, and aligns with Singapore’s emphasis on operational efficiency.
Uninterruptible power supplies protect against power surges and voltage fluctuations that can damage equipment like access control systems in Singapore setups, in addition to providing backup power. Many businesses fail to verify if their UPS includes surge protection, leaving systems vulnerable to electrical damage. This can reduce equipment lifespan and disrupt operations.
Choosing a UPS with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) and surge protection is essential for safeguarding devices. These features stabilize power delivery, protecting the IT infrastructure and extending hardware durability. In Singapore, where reliable power is critical, such systems ensure comprehensive protection for operations.
For example, a corporate office using structured cabling for network connectivity and security systems can benefit from a UPS with AVR, ensuring uninterrupted performance of CCTV cameras and access controls. This integrated approach minimizes risks and supports continuity in Singapore’s dynamic market.
Many businesses, particularly startups, opt for low-cost uninterruptible power supply Singapore options, compromising on quality. Budget units often offer lower efficiency, shorter battery life, and limited capacity, leading to frequent breakdowns and higher long-term costs. This approach undermines reliability and increases maintenance expenses.
Businesses should prioritize reputable brands with strong warranties and positive customer feedback over price alone. Working with a trusted uninterruptible power supply company in Singapore ensures access to reliable, cost-effective solutions tailored to specific needs. This balances affordability with performance, reducing the risk of failures.
For instance, a small business implementing IT cabling for network expansion can avoid low-quality UPS units by consulting experts who recommend durable systems. This ensures compatibility with structured cabling systems and supports long-term efficiency, vital for Singapore’s competitive market.
Failing to plan for future expansion is a common error when selecting uninterruptible power supplies. Businesses often choose systems that meet current needs but cannot handle increased power demands as operations grow. This leads to premature replacements and additional costs, disrupting continuity.
Opting for a scalable Singapore uninterruptible power supply allows businesses to accommodate growth without replacing entire systems. Consulting an uninterruptible power supply company in Singapore helps identify systems that support additional loads, ensuring flexibility. This is critical for businesses integrating IT structured cabling for expanding networks or security systems.
Projects like Faber Residence demonstrate the value of scalability. By combining structured cabling with scalable UPS solutions, the development supports growing demands for smart home features and CCTV systems. This forward-thinking approach ensures businesses in Singapore can expand efficiently, maintaining reliability as needs evolve.
Navigating the selection of an uninterruptible power supply in Singapore requires evaluating capacity, battery maintenance, surge protection, quality, and scalability. Integrating with a structured cabling system enhances infrastructure reliability. Partnering with a trusted uninterruptible power supply company in Singapore provides tailored solutions, enabling businesses to avoid errors and ensure efficiency in a competitive market.
