Haskell County, Kansas, is the first recorded instance anywhere in the world of an outbreak of influenza so unusual that a physician warned public health officials. It remains the first recorded instance suggesting that a new virus was adapting, violently, to man.
The 1918–1919 influenza pandemic killed more people than any other outbreak of disease in human history. The lowest estimate of the death toll is 21 million, while recent scholarship estimates from 50 to 100 million dead.

L’Assemblée mondiale de la Santé adopte un accord historique sur les pandémies

#WHO Pandemic Agreement Approved by Member States, Ushering in a Dangerous New World Health Order #vaccines, #censorship of dissent, and global #surveillance systems.

This isn’t a treaty, it’s a trap. A global noose tightening around the throat of every free nation. They call it #OneHealth. What they mean is One Master.
The WHO, now has the power to override your government, censor your speech and dictate how you live, farm, eat and breathe. This is not #science. It’s #tyranny in a lab coat.
The same global cabal that locked us down, ruined our businesses and buried the truth is now codifying that control into international law.

(remove space, supprimez l'espace dans le lien et choisissez la langue) who. int/news/item/20-05-2025-world-health-assembly-adopts-historic-pandemic-agreement-to-make-the-world-more-equitable-and-safer-from-future-pandemics

in reply to Part_of You

On 20th May 2025, WHO member states adopted the organisation’s first international Pandemic Agreement at the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva.

There was no parliamentary vote, no public debate, and no referendum. The treaty was adopted by consensus, not a formal vote, which means that governments, signaled approval without domestic scrutiny.

The treaty outlines legal commitments to:
- Share pathogen samples & genetic data
- Distribute vaccines & therapeutics equitably
- Strengthen international surveillance
- Comply with WHO-led emergency declarations
- Develop global digital health certification systems

While the WHO cannot override national law, the treaty creates binding international obligations. Governments may use it to justify emergency laws or sweeping public health powers while shielding decisions behind the language of international compliance or global coordination.

Private foundations now shape global public health priorities without any electoral mandate.

It's based on the WHO’s One Health framework, which views human, animal, and environmental health as interconnected.

Critics argue this broadens the WHO’s scope, allowing it to influence food systems, climate policy, agriculture, and land use under the guise of pandemic prevention.

Among the more contentious provisions of the treaty are proposals to implement a Pathogen Access and Benefit-Sharing (PABS) system.

This would allow WHO to access pathogen samples from any country and redistribute pharmaceutical products under equitable frameworks potentially overriding domestic vaccine supply chains.

The treaty also encourages states to adopt digital health documentation systems, which could evolve into permanent digital IDs tied to vaccination or health status.

While presented as public health tools, such systems have been heavily criticized by civil liberties groups as intrusive, coercive, and open to mission creep.

Several countries abstained or objected during the drafting phase.
Their stated concerns include loss of national sovereignty, lack of legal clarity, and the risk of unelected institutions imposing policy.

In the NL, there has been virtually no parliamentary debate over the treaty. No formal statement has been made by the Prime Minister or Health Secretary.

Despite the agreement’s long-term implications, the NL has participated in negotiations quietly bypassing public scrutiny.

The adoption of this treaty reflects a broader trend:
The shift from nation-state governance to transnational managerialism.

This is not a conspiracy theory. It is a structural change in how global policy is made particularly in moments of crisis.

What COVID began, the WHO treaty formalizes:
Emergency governance, centralized authority, and the use of global health as a gateway to broader control.

If democratic governments can enter binding international agreements on pandemic policy without consulting their citizens, then who governs in a crisis.
The answer is: Those you cannot remove from office.

The WHO Pandemic Agreement is a landmark. Not just in public health, but in global governance.

It centralizes authority, weakens national sovereignty, and embeds unelected influence at the heart of crisis response.

The public was never asked...

Même quand t’as raison. Parce que le système ne veut pas des humains. Il veut des machines obéissantes. Comme eux.

Racing Handbrake Not Showing Up As Joystick

As the title says I am trying to get my handbrake to recognize as a joystick so I can use it.

Running Arch.

This is the device in question.
amazon.com/dp/B07SPVY2WL

It shows up with lsusb as the following.
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 1021:1888 ZSC ODDOR-HANDBRAKE

Device info from cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices
T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=04 Cnt=04 Dev#= 6 Spd=12 MxCh= 0

E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 64 Ivl=10ms
E: Ad=01(O) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 64 Ivl=10ms

I found this bit of information but it's related to openSUSE and is quite old but I'm hoping it might help.
spinics.net/lists//linux-input…

It doesn't show up in /dev/input/...

Any ideas on how I could get this thing recognized so I can use it?

Update 1:

I got connected with someone at the Simracing space on matrix per the advice from @lemonuri@lemmy.ml and they helped me to get it working. Here is what we did.

Create the file 99-handbrake.rules in /etc/udev/rules.d and add the two following lines to it.

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ENV{ID_VENDOR_ID}=="1021", ENV{ID_MODEL_ID}=="1888", RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'echo 1021 1888 > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usbhid/new_id'"

SUBSYSTEM=="input", ATTRS{idVendor}=="1021", ATTRS{idProduct}=="1888", ENV{ID_INPUT_JOYSTICK}="1"

This forces the device to usbhid as a joystick whenever it is plugged in and recognized.

Run the following command to reload the device rules if you don't want to reboot. Otherwise you can omit the command and reboot.

sudo udevadm control --reload

It now shows up and is working.

So the device was registering a button at the end of the pull and showing up as an Xbox controller while not recognizing the axis being moved so it was all or nothing.

I installed protopedal and following advice created a dummy device which remapped the inputs so that it registers the analog input only which worked.

protopedal --name "handbrake" -b JOYSTICK -a THROTTLE -s 0:THROTTLE -a Y --no-auto-buttons --no-auto-axes /dev/input/by-id/usb-ZSC_ODDOR-HANDBRAKE-event-joystick

Update 2:

All credit goes to JacKeTUs for his work on helping me out. He is making/made the driver for this. It may go into AUR for Arch users, so if anyone ends up looking for support for this handbrake you can find the source at the below link.

github.com/JacKeTUs/hid-oddor-…

This will install the driver (currently it needs to be loaded after running sudo make) and the udev rule. It eliminates the need for protopedal but does require launch options to be set.

SDL_JOYSTICK_WHEEL_DEVICES=0x1021/0x1888 %command%

Update 3:

Latest push eliminates the need for steam launch option and removes the button from the device.

I am pretty sure you need to configure more (fake) buttons for the handbrake, I had the same problem. Otherwise it does not get recognized as a gaming device.

I can look up later how I solved this or you can ask the simracing linux community, which helped me with a couple of similar pronlems before:

On Sunday morning (18.5.2025), the residents of the #Bedouin shepherds community of Mughayyir Al-Dir received a "surprise" that has become all too familiar to Palestinian shepherd communities in Area C, and increasingly even in Area B, in recent years: settlers had established a new outpost nearby. What does a “new outpost” look like? A few shade nets, fences, a herd that were brought to the site, and most importantly a handful of young settlers guarded by armed militia members.

This time, the outpost was set up a few dozen meters from the community's homes. In a report that was published in Haaretz about the outpost’s establishment, one of the settlers in the new outpost was quoted saying: “This is the only place that's left. That’s it, thank God we kicked everyone out, including you along with them.” The settler was referring to the fact that Mughayyir Al-Dir is now the only Bedouin community still living in the area, after a wave of expulsions that began in the summer of 2022 expelled the neighboring communities.

Link to the map of the expelled Palestinian communities in our website is below.

In January 2024, we published a post about the community of Mughayyir Al-Dir, as part of a series highlighting communities at risk of imminent expulsion due to settler violence. Much of that violence stems from the isolated and violent settlement of Maale Michmash and the chain of ultra violent outposts surrounding it. We recommend revisiting that post for a deeper understanding of what has been unfolding in the area over recent decades and especially since October 7, 2023. Link to the post is in the comments.

As in many other cases, the new outpost is being built on a plot of land that was registered as state land during the Jordanian era, land that the State of Israel later looted and handed over to the criminal Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. We can assume that this council is behind the establishment of the new outpost.

And what does the army have to say to the Haaretz reporter in response to settlers setting up an outpost just meters away from an isolated and battered Palestinian community? “The area does not encroach on the area where the Bedouins live”.

For anyone still in doubt about the army’s role in the expulsion of Palestinian shepherd communities in the West Bank, here is yet another clear example. Link to the Haaretz article is below.

  • Lionel Robbins: It was the most colossal thing of its kind in history: and next probably to the Great War itself, it must bear responsibility for many of the political and economic difficulties of our generation. It destroyed the wealth of the more solid elements of German society: and left behind a moral and economic disequilibrium, a breeding ground for the disasters which have followed. Hitler is the foster child of the inflation.
  • Lenin: There is no trace of utopianism in Marx, in the sense that he made up or invented a 'new' society. No, he studied the birth of the new society out of the old, and the forms of transition from the latter to the former, as a natural-historical process. He examined the actual experience of a proletarian mass movement and tried to draw practical lessons from it.
  • Che Guevara: Many will call me an adventurer - and that I am, only one of a different sort: one of those who risks his skin to prove his platitudes.
  • Democritus: The first principles of the universe are atoms and empty space; everything else is merely thought to exist.
  • Bertolt Brecht: Lenin is enshrined In the large heart of the working class.

So many trans kids birthed out of the Hollywood womb. Why?

While everyone is focused on "Climate Change" the real issue is how polluted the environment and our food sources are, but leave it to Alex "gay frogs" Jones to absurditate (I just made this word up but now it is real and you can use it too) the notion.

So they are normalizing what this shit is doing to kids by making it a "civil rights" issue, celebrating the specialness and boldness rather than examine the cause.

#Covid 19, mice and fools

Virus or no virus? The debate continues to understand the origin of the paranoid delusion called #Covid-19. My training (or perhaps my bias) led me to study this concept extensively from a statistical perspective. The conclusion of four years of work is quite clear: there is no trace of any new pathogen in the #statistics of illnesses or deaths in recent years. All excess deaths are due to the mistreatment of the most vulnerable, driven by fear of the virus. All the dates, all the numbers, correspond to this explanation. This approach could be called "bottom-up": starting from the final statistics to trace back to their foundations and concluding that nothing called "Covid-19" is scientific or even coherent.

A number of proponents of the "top-down" method also criticize the lack of certainty, and even the lack of science, in the theory of the new asymptomatic killer virus: "SARS-COV-2". Others, on the contrary, believe that its existence is well-proven and its properties known. To support their claims, they often cite scientific articles published in major journals, while specifying that these are not reliable when the results are unpleasant.

In a discussion on this subject, Yves #Rasir sent me a study published in the prestigious journal Nature "proving" that " #SARS-COV-2" is indeed a pathogen. The study focuses on the "genetic resistance" of a large number of mice that researchers supposedly "infected" with the virus. Reading this article and trying to match the announced results with the data provided in the appendix, I was so stunned by the inconsistencies from every angle that I called my friend Eusèbe #Rioché for help. I was at the point where I would have preferred him to show me that I no longer knew how to add. Unfortunately, the reality is worse than expected, as Eusèbe further criticized this prose written in globish that passes for science. I will probably end up needing therapy because just seeing a guy in a lab coat on a screen now triggers uncontrollable laughter.

Covid 19 : Decoding Official Data with Dr Sam #Bailey
youtu.be/ygRBI3FvYbM

"We can discuss everything except the numbers", former French Minister of Health Olivier Véran once said.
After three years spent collecting and analyzing virtually all the figures concerning the Covid 19 crisis from French and international organizations, statistician Pierre Chaillot can confirm the opposite: we need to discuss everything, and especially the numbers. Particularly those that political and medical leaders deliberately chose not to quote, because they risked causing the official story to collapse.
In this book, Pierre Chaillot presents the results of these analyses. The data he cites are all sourced, his calculations are entirely open to consultation on his website, and his hypotheses have been discussed and reviewed by specialists in statistics, computer science, mathematics and epidemiology. His findings are astounding. #Mortality, hospitalizations, tests, #vaccine effectiveness, side effects, nothing stands up to the ordered confrontation of all the data, and before the eyes of the appalled reader, the propaganda collapses.

Arse. I acquired a pair of adolescent rats a few weeks ago, and when they stuck around (having a grand time in the duck food) I bought some traps, left them out for a bit to become normal and then started leaving them unset but baited with Nutella for a week.

Tonight I thought I’d try setting them. One was tripped but empty of everything but food an hour ago, just checked and that one has been licked clean and the other is tripped but again empty of everything but food.

Wondering if the rats are still too light to properly trip the traps. Don’t want them to learn to evade before they get big enough to properly trip them.

Any thoughts? Can’t use rat-proof chicken feeders for ducks, don’t want to use poison because of Dog/wildlife.

in reply to Lotoscott

@Lotoscott cadmium telluride is only 4% of the installed solar panel capacity and tends not to have a long life and it is toxic. Crystaline silicon is 96% of the installed base, it is more expensive but is generally good for 30 years or more. Silicon is the second most abundant element in the Earth's crust after oxygen. Personally, unless you've a load that corresponds well with max solar like air conditioning in southern California, it doesn't make much sense to me.

Eugene V. Debs: (A)ll our hearts now throb as one great heart responsive to the battle cry of the social revolution. Here, in this alert and inspiring assemblage our hearts are with the Bolsheviki of Russia. Those heroic men and women, those unconquerable comrades have by their incomparable valor and sacrifice added fresh luster to the fame of the international movement. Those Russian comrades of ours have made greater sacrifices, have suffered more, and have shed more heroic blood than any like number of men and women anywhere on earth; they have laid the foundation of the first real democracy that ever drew the breath of life in this world. And the very first act of the triumphant Russian revolution was to proclaim a state of peace with all mankind, coupled with a fervent moral appeal, not to kings, not to emperors, rulers or diplomats but to the people of all nations. Here we have the very breath of democracy, the quintessence of the dawning freedom. The Russian revolution proclaimed its glorious triumph in its ringing and inspiring appeal to the peoples of all the earth. wordsmith.social/protestation/…

Quotes

  • Otto Kuusinen: As long as the working class wages only an economic struggle, the bourgeoisie does not see in that any great danger for itself; but when the working class organises politically, i.e., creates a political party which expresses its will as a class, the bourgeoisie begins seriously to fear for its rule. That is why reaction deals its main blows against the political party of the working class. At the same time, trying to undermine the party from within, capitalist propaganda endeavours to persuade the workers that they can do without their own party. One of the manifestations of bourgeois influence on the working class is the anarchist and anarcho-syndicalist denial of the leading role of a political party.

  • Democritus: Fame and wealth without wisdom are unsafe possessions.
  • Muammar Gaddafi: We will not surrender. We will defeat them by any means. We are ready for the fight, whether it will be a short or a long one. We will be victorious in the end. This assault is by a bunch of fascists who will end up in the dustbin of history.
  • Democritus: By convention sweet is sweet, bitter is bitter, hot is hot, cold is cold, color is color; but in truth there are only atoms and the void.
  • Democritus: We know nothing accurately in reality, but (only) as it changes according to the bodily condition, and the constitution of those things that flow upon (the body) and impinge upon it.
