in reply to Christopher Stewart • • •Yes, my biggest worry is the stain on Israeli history too. /s
BTW: Equating Jewishness and Israel views Jews as homogenous group with common characteristics... which constitutes #antisemitism.

who says it's anyone's biggest worry ? does it have to be the biggest worry in order to be relevant ?
« Equating Jewishness and Israel views Jews as homogenous group with common characteristics... which constitutes #antisemitism. »
who is doing such an equation here ?

in reply to Christopher Stewart • • •You are free to read it differently, but I would always put Palestinian suffering over caring for Israel's history; priorities matter.
And saying Israel's genocide reflects bad on Jewish history would, at least in my understanding, make this genocide a Jewish thing, which I refuse hard. Did he mean to say Zionist history?
Anyhow, I am happy about every public person taking a strong stance against genocide.

in reply to Christopher Stewart • • •The moral stain on Israel has been there since the atrocious establishment of the state itself, hence I really don't care about this kind of pseudo-reflexive musings regarding its international reputation while it mass rapes, tortures and murders with war crimes and against international law supported by the majority of its population.
I just refuse to call this genocide a stain on Jewish history, see Einstein's view on Israel's establishment.
On the other hand Palestinians took Jewish refugees into their homes during the Holocaust, Palestinians were fighting the Nazsi in WW2 (in the British Army in North Africa)...
...but if you don't really care about the exact meaning of what you quote, then why should I. ;)
