Instead of entrusting the defence of your interests to others, see to the matter by yourselves. Instead of trying to choose advisers that will guide you in future actions, do the thing yourselves, and do it now! Men of good will shall not have to look long in vain for the opportunity. To put on others' shoulders the responsibility of one's actions is cowardice.

source: specialeurasia.com/2025/06/10/…

1) According to an intel leaked document, the #FSB regards #China as an active #intelligence #threat.
2) Besides #Moscow and #Beijing have increased their cooperation and relations, both the parties have clashing interests in strategic areas: Central #Asia, Asia - #Pacific, the #Arctic.
3) Should the document be validated, it could significantly affect relations between #Russia and China and provide an opportunity for the West.

@DaddyO — I’ve wondered the same thing. 🤔 Maybe I’ve angered the bot gods? 😆

I wonder if it’s somehow related to how, ever since we moved to NA.S, my posts never show up on the explore tab, even on the rare occasions they’ve got a dozen or more favorites and boosts. Or maybe that’s because we just don’t see our own posts there?

@eriner — might you know the answers to these mysteries? (No biggie if not though.)

Top 8 fastest programing languages in 2024.
youtube.com/shorts/Fm3iH1PPgMw

1. C++ or Assembly
2. Rust
3. Go
4. Java
5. Python
6. Swift
7. JavaScript
8. C#

in reply to Nanook

@nanook prolly wrong but so are you. ASM is only marginally (today) faster IF you bother to hand optimize it. Speed advantages for Asm, C, C++ and mostly any purely compiled language will depend on the compiler used and various setting options tweaked to be more optimal towards a given task. Abstraction is only slower in interpreted or VM runtime languages like Java or C#. Anything that outputs pure binary code that runs directly on the CPU is the same given the same compiler optimizations.

For one my online accounts I had multiple ways to authenticate the login process. ”If you forget your password, use your passkey”. Okay, so SMS was one of the options and it was selected for me, by default, since they had my number. But, I removed it from the list and chose a 2FA Authenticator app, instead. So, no SMS recovery for me, whenever my accounts offer alternatives.

Happy Disability Pride Month to all who celebrate.

For a lot of us, in various States around the world, we've seen an increasing hostility towards those of us who are not "typically abled". This has been going on for many years, but this year in particular seems to have been...a lot.

I know, I know - every month is a different "pride" month! yes, it's tiring, yes, it's a bit much....it's even a different flag!

____

Yes, it's because there are so many marginalised groups.

None of us are free until all of us are free.

It ain't the most perfect summary of it, but it's a good start:

Together, we're sending a clear message to Australia's biggest banks: stop funding fracking in the NT and protect water, country and climate.

But to ramp up the pressure, we need more people to join us. The more of us who speak up, the harder it is for the banks to ignore.

So people have said the problem with Kikes converting to Christianity is the fake converts

But I would suggest there is a simple test for that

As long as Israel continues to persecute Christians

If a Jew says they converted to Christianity or are a Messianic Jewish believer in Jesus but they support zionism or what is currently called the State of Israel then they are a fake convert

What is happening on Programming.dev instance?

I started to notice that my posts get no interactions at all and that a lot of communities seem to be empty. At first I thought that it's just the effect of Lemme. ee shutting down, but after checking some of the communities from my current alt account I started to notice that .Dev does not pull the latest posts and does not federate my posts.

Federation should be fixed now, just taking a bit to catch up on activities

Federation & pictrs were broken due to some dns issues. If you see an issue like that happening again best way to report it to the admins are in our discord or matrix (links are in me.programming.dev/)

if a larger community has no posts but it does on other instances its cause its hidden by default and you need to sub to it to see posts. Usually happens for political communities but full list of communities affected by that are in legal.programming.dev/docs/hid…)

A Government’s Scam Or Legit?

Looks like we all missed out on a Biden era program to get 6% home loans for eco-friendly upgrades and remodels and solar panels. Up to 150% of the value of the house. That's government for you.

@IcyGrillz @eriner @spencer but is this crazy stuff still active? I wonder.

LLM applications like RAG and Agents require constantly feeding new context to models which doesn’t always appear at the beginning of the input sequence.

Traditionally if the new information isn’t at the very start, the cache hit rate plummets, and GPU ends up recomputing the same things over and over.

CacheBlend changes the game by allowing for the reuse of pre-computed KV caches regardless of their position in the input sequence.

@Nina Paley I can understand your pain. Years ago, I adopted a 12 year old cat, usually something I avoid just because you know there isn't going to be that much time, but what I didn't know is that he was infected with feline leukemia virus. His name was Monster because he was a very large grey tabby, a real gentle giant of a cat. He died from his bone marrow's inability to make blood because of it several months later. He is one of seven cats I've had in my life but by far the most loving animal I ever had. In spite of the really short time I had him, his death really hurt. I fully understand that grief.

Lety Does Playing “Lone Wolf: The Huntress” Book 3: “Echoes of Eternity”, Part 13

The war ravens are back! They're like war horses, but tinier! Except for the one Rivaan swoops in on, that's just a horse-sized raven for some reason. Anyways, it's the people of Voltac versus Venthusias' Faithful, and then the American Huntress comes face to face with the Faceless!

in reply to Lety Does Stuff 🔕

Hihi! Lety here, auto-commenting from my main account (which doesn't have a 🔕 icon)!

This is how my PeerTube videos look on other Fediverse platforms!

Remotely interact with this video using an account on an ActivityPub-powered platform like Mastodon Social! Just click the “Add comment...” box under any PeerTube video and enter your Fedi handle in the pop-up. That’ll direct you to the federated post for that video on whatever platform you use.

Or, if you’re already logged in on Mastodon or wherever you're seeing this message, just look at the post I’m responding to!

Replies and favorites on that post show up as comments and likes on PeerTube, and following the account that posted it subscribes you to my videos.

Heads up, though! While some platforms might allow you to respond with custom emojis, gifs, images, polls, and reactions, most of that fancy stuff won’t show up correctly on PeerTube. The same goes for any edits you might want to make to your response unless you delete & re-draft.

If you already know all this or are tired of seeing this wall of text, you can hide these explanation posts by going to your account preferences and creating a new filter with the title and keyword “#LetyDoesPeerTubeExplainer” and all context boxes checked.

Thanks so much for watching! ⚡⚡⚡
