GM Frens
Yesterday was take the wife to the city day so didn't get much work done.
But after dinner I got a start.
Engine is no longer attached to the bracket.
Now if I could only detach the Baystar hydraulic steering, yeah that would be awesome.
I was gonna start building the plywood mold for the hull extension today.
I built this boat in 2018 so I had suppressed how much work it was just to attach trim tabs , bracket, steering and engine and now it all has to come of.

I did something similar.
Not showing in this picture. I have a lumber beam on top of that "scaffold" and used a ratchet strap attached to the hoisting ring under the motor cover to lift it just enough to loosen the bolts.
But I got stuck on the Baystar. Big bolts wouldn't budge. Will just detach the hydraulic hose.
Then it's the trim tabs and the bracket and some...

Technically I didn't build the boat, but it was a boat build. I bought the boat in 2007, second hand from an old man who had the same name as me. The boat was then 33 years old and no where near mint condition.
So I just used it over midsummer weekend and then I took it and went to work on it.
I replaced the stern, made a new cabin, replaced the bow bench, sanded and repainted the whole boat. Attached stainless steel bracket, new engine and trim tabs.
I even built the door lock.

That is why it was so funny that someone posted about block and tackle yesterday.
Because I was thinking of buying one or a chain block.
But this engine is just under 220 pounds so I thought about the ratchet strap and it worked just as planned.

I'm afraid there have been far too few bikini on my boat. I think it is the wrong modell
Fun facts though. As soon as there are waves and wind I can still go att full speed. While most modern boats go really slow, if they go at all. Most of them just in the harbor
Modern boats are too wide. I think it is some EU regulations or something
$100.000 and not functional retarded

I honestly should have just bought a "new" second hand boat. Aluminium.
But I would have to pay up $+30.000 and I will likely just use it a few times.
Maybe next summer.
