Yes the Florida situation is fucking horrifying but the exact thing I'm struggling with today is how they rolled this out - like it was a funny viral marketing campaign. And not in an inside joke sort of way. They did it in a way that made it seem like everyone is in on it. And you know something? They were kind of right.

MAGA fascists were immediately hashtagging Alligator Alcatraz, and selling hats and tshirts, pulling in Mexican food trucks to eat tacos and elotes in front of the death camp for Latinos, and sharing memes about it with each other.

Like ha ha ha isn't this funny everybody.

These sinister motherfucking sociopaths were all like "ha ha isn't this death camp funny". All together. All of them. Everywhere.
