High speed of development of Huawei's phone CPUs, 3 generations of chips in 2 years

Sidenote: its insane how chipmakers refer to CPUs as 7 nanometer, 2 nanometer, etc, since there is absolutely no component or wire inside the CPU that is actually this small, it purely a marketing term lol

5 Errors to Avoid When Choosing an Affordable Website

If you’re going for a budget site, great. Just dodge these mistakes to save time, money, and frustration.

You want a website, but you’re not looking to break the bank. That’s a solid plan.
There are plenty of β€œbudget” or β€œlow-cost” web design options out there. If you’re careful, you can get a site that’s both affordable and effective. But too many people end up with a site that’s glitchy, outdated, or just doesn’t work because they fell into common pitfalls.

If you’re going for a budget site, great. Just dodge these mistakes to save time, money, and frustration.

1. Thinking "Cheap" Means "Awful"β€”or "Amazing"

People often make one of two errors. Some assume a cheap website is guaranteed to be terrible. Others think they’re getting a high-end site for pennies.
Both are off-base.

You can absolutely get a clean, functional website without spending thousands, especially if you need something simpleβ€”a few pages, basic info, or a contact form. But β€œcheap” doesn’t mean you’re getting a custom-built site with all the bells and whistles. Be realistic.

That said, don’t dismiss affordable designers just because their prices are low. Some are new and eager to build their portfolios. Others use tools like Squarespace or WordPress to work efficiently. A skilled cheap website designer delivers value by focusing on what you need.

Look at their past work. Have a chat. If their style fits your goals, you’re set.

2. Not Knowing What You Need

The biggest mistake is hiring someone to β€œmake a website” without a clear idea of what it’s for. You end up with a site that looks fine but doesn’t do the job.

Before you start, figure out:

  • What’s the site’s purpose (e.g., showcase your work, sell products, collect leads)?
  • What pages or features are must-haves?
  • Will you need to update it later?
  • How should it work on phones?

You don’t need a detailed spec sheet, just a sense of direction. Without it, you’ll get a generic or mismatched site, and even a cheap site is a waste if it doesn’t work.

A budget site still needs a purpose.

3. Rushing the Jobβ€”or Letting Them Rush It

Fast work is fine, but sloppy work isn’t.

Some cheap website designers are quick because they’ve got their process down to a science. That’s great. But if someone offers to whip up a full site in a day without asking about your needs, that’s a warning sign.

A solid designer, even an affordable one, will take time to understand your audience, message, and preferences. It doesn’t need to be a long process, but a quick discussion is essential.

Don’t rush them either. Demanding a complete site overnight leads to mistakes. A good cheap website designer needs a few days to organize content, choose images, and test everything.

Take the time to get it right. It’ll pay off.

4. Skipping Mobile, Speed, or Updates

Your site has to work on phones. It needs to load fast. And you should be able to update it without relying on the designer for every change.

Many cheap websites miss these basics. They might look decent on a computer but break on mobile. Or they’re slowed down by clunky code or too many plugins. Or they’re built in a way that makes simple changes a nightmare.

That’s not a bargainβ€”it’s a liability.

Even a low-cost site should be mobile-friendly and quick. If it’s built on a platform like WordPress, you should be able to edit text or images yourself. Ask the designer how updates work and what maintenance is needed.

Test it before it goes live. Don’t just hope it’s okay.

5. Assuming It’s a One-Off Task

Websites aren’t a β€œbuild it and leave it” thing. They need a bit of care. Too many people get a cheap site, put it online, and forget about it. A year later, links are broken, forms don’t work, and the content’s outdated.

Even a simple site needs occasional attention. Update your info. Check that forms and links still function. Refresh the look if it feels stale.

A good cheap website designer builds a site that’s easy to manage. Ask them what’s needed to keep it runningβ€”maybe monthly checks or software updates. And make sure you know how to reach them if something breaks.

How to Make It Work

You can get an awesome site on a budget if you’re smart about it.

  • Choose a cheap website designer with a proven track record.
  • Look for someone who listens, asks questions, and explains their process clearly.
  • They should focus on the essentials: a clean design, clear content, fast performance, and easy updates.

You don’t need fancy animations or custom code. You need a site that shows who you are, communicates your message, and makes it easy for visitors to take action.

Stay within your budget, but don’t chase the cheapest option blindly. Know what you want, stay involved, and communicate clearly. That’s how you get a website that’s both affordable and worth every cent.

I have over 400 physical DVDs and over 300 physical CDs. I buy them, I rip them, and then I put them in a box.

And I'm kind of wondering why I keep them. Why not rip and resell? I'm not planning to buy enough shelf space for all that. I like the convenience of having a media server.

I've got other stuff I'm storing in my storage unit, so it doesn't cost me anything to keep them, but still. Why?

This is a criminal conspiracy. And by treating it as a conspiracy, you eliminate the five-year statutes on individual crimes. So if something happened in 2016, but it was part of an ongoing conspiracy that continued with Jack Smith raiding Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, it can be charged in the larger conspiracy. Even though, if you tried to charge it as an individual case, you wouldn’t get it.

Mainstream media coverage of ICE enforcement misrepresents both the law and reality. They conflate detention with imprisonment, status checks with mass arrests, and lawful deportations with constitutional violations, creating a false narrative of authoritarianism. Trump’s enforcement simply applies existing law through legal, intelligence-driven operations that past administrations ignored.

July 15, 2025 @ 20:08 Good evening family & friends❣️ I finished up the laundry today, had it all hung well before noon. Neighbor came and took the rest of the tree off our shed (I should go take another picture) that had fallen a couple of days ago*. Charlie and her sister walked over, brushed Maisie, watered the garden for me, and applied a last coat of spray paint to the tires. The work Bill did on the front porch* is working out SO WELL and we've had several neighbors come over to comment on how nice it looks πŸ˜€. I slept a lot. Oh yeah...and there was something stinky in here, like something died in the wall, for nearly a week...when Bill was here this morning he even commented on it. While I was sleeping Pete tore apart the kitchen to see what he could find - nothing. Later I happened to look behind the microwave and there was a package of meat of some sort - hard to tell by this point - that had fallen behind and rotted and dripped down the back of the tool cart that I use for a counter/cupboard space...and at the pool on the floor were too many maggots to count! Oh. My. Goodness. WHAT A MESS!! But Pete got it all cleaned up in here and now it smells fine. (That would also account for the big influx of flies we've had in here this last week!) Ordered a pizza for dinner [chiachow.net/what-i-eat], I had a coupon, and did a Tuesday Titters post [chia.owly.net/tuesday-titters-…]. OK, I guess that's it, I have a whopper of a headache and am going to bed soon. I will see you in the morningβ£οΈπŸ™πŸ₯±πŸŒ›πŸ’€

That brings back a memory. Blessed mom cooked dinner. I think I was in middle school. I didn’t want to eat anymore meat. So I threw it behind the refrigerator. The apt had high ceilings and the fridge had no cabinets above it. A week later maggots were crawling out from under there. Mom moved the fridge, saw the meat and maggots. So yucky. Glad she let it slide. She probably thought it was my little sister who did. She was mom’s favorite. 😁

Each week, I stand before a group of men and women suffering varying stages of dementia. I am aware as I stand there that unless the Holy Spirit breaks through their confusion and forgetfulness, I will be speaking into the air. Nothing I say during those 30 minutes or so will have any chance of making an impact on their lives.

And so, with that awareness, I always begin our time together praying aloud for the Lord to open all of our minds and hearts as I speak words of encouragement, exhortation, hope and promise.

But – isn’t that what we should all always do whenever we speak – or plan to speak – with someone about the Lord? Shouldn’t we always – even if it’s a quickly breathed prayer – shouldn’t we always ask the Holy Spirit to speak His truths through us? Don’t we know that just because a person has an intact memory doesn’t mean they also have ears to hear and hearts that are soft to God's voice.

And – isn’t that what you and I should always do when we open our Bibles to read? Don’t we want from the Holy Spirit more than mere β€˜information’? Don’t we also want from Him β€˜revelation’?

β€œRejoice always; Pray without ceasing; In everything, give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

What Energy-Saving Mobile Crushing Solutions Are There for High-Cost Stones?

In today’s mining and aggregate operations, the cost of processing certain types of stone can be significantly high due to factors such as hardness, transport distance, and energy consumption. For operators dealing with these high-cost materials, adopting energy-efficient technologies is no longer optionalβ€”it’s a key factor in staying profitable. In this context, mobile crushing solutions are becoming increasingly attractive due to their lower setup costs, flexibility, and energy-saving potential. From innovative drive systems to intelligent automation, modern mobile stone crusher units are evolving to meet the demands of sustainable and cost-effective crushing.

This article explores various energy-saving mobile crushing solutions(trituradora de piedra portatil) suitable for processing expensive stone materials, with a focus on practicality and return on investment.

Why Energy Efficiency Matters in High-Cost Stone Operations

Rising Fuel and Electricity Prices

Fuel and power costs account for a significant portion of total operating expenses in crushing operations. When working with harder stones like granite, basalt, or dense river rock, energy consumption increases substantially. Without efficient systems in place, the profitability of each ton of processed stone drops.

Environmental Regulations and Carbon Emissions

In regions such as Latin America and Southeast Asia, governments are tightening environmental standards. Crushing equipment that reduces emissions and uses less fuel helps operators comply with regulations while improving their environmental footprint.

Hybrid and Electric Drive Systems

Diesel-Electric Mobile Crushers

One of the most effective solutions is the use of diesel-electric drive systems. These systems allow the mobile stone crusher to run on diesel fuel while generating electricity for other components. The engine only powers a generator, and all crushing and conveying functions are electric.

This setup significantly reduces fuel consumption compared to traditional hydraulic systems and allows the crusher to run on external power if available, further improving efficiency.

Fully Electric Portable Crushers

When access to grid power or solar generation is possible, fully electric portable stone crusher units can operate with near-zero emissions and minimal energy costs. These setups are ideal for long-term projects where power infrastructure is available or can be set up quickly.

Intelligent Crushing Control Systems

Adaptive Load Control and Automation

Modern mobile crushing units are equipped with smart control systems that monitor feed levels, power usage, and load distribution. These systems automatically adjust crusher settings and conveyor speeds in real time, ensuring optimal performance with the least amount of energy consumed.

Such automation is particularly beneficial when using a gravel crusheror rock crusher(trituradora de rocas) on variable material sizes, where manual control could result in over-crushing and wasted energy.

Remote Monitoring and Efficiency Reporting

Some advanced models allow remote monitoring of fuel consumption, throughput, and equipment condition. This data helps operators identify energy-wasting patterns and make informed decisions about scheduling, load balancing, and maintenance routines.

Material-Specific Crushing Strategies

Pre-Screening to Reduce Load

One of the simplest ways to save energy is by removing fines and unwanted material before they reach the crusher. Installing a pre-screen on the mobile stone crusher allows smaller particles to bypass the crushing chamber, which reduces load and energy use.

This approach is particularly useful when processing mixed materials, such as riverbed stone or demolition debris, where a large volume of the feed is already small enough.

Selective Crushing for Valuable Aggregates

Rather than crushing all material to the same size, energy-efficient systems allow for selective crushing. For example, a gravel crusher(trituradora de piedra para grava) may be adjusted to produce a specific grade of material with minimal overprocessing, reducing energy use while maximizing output quality.

Lightweight and Modular Equipment Design

Reduced Transport and Setup Energy

Many newer portable stone crusher models are built with lightweight frames and modular designs. This not only simplifies transportation between sites but also reduces the energy needed for loading, unloading, and setup.

Space-Saving for Urban or Remote Locations

Energy efficiency isn’t only about operationβ€”it also includes reducing idle time and inefficient site layouts. Mobile crushers that are compact and easy to deploy minimize idle running hours, fuel usage, and material handling effort.

Conclusion: Invest in Smarter, Greener Crushing

As the cost of raw materials and energy continues to rise, mining and aggregate producers need crushing solutions that combine mobility with efficiency. Whether using a diesel-electric mobile stone crusher, a fully electric portable stone crusher, or an intelligent rock crusher system, the goal is the sameβ€”maximize output while minimizing energy input.

With the right setup, even high-cost stone becomes economically viable to crush and process. Energy-saving mobile solutions are not only better for the bottom line but also position your operation for future success in a more sustainable, competitive market.

We don't always get a heads up. These people could be shopping at Krogers next to you and in an instant draw a knife and kill you because you were there.

Remember that the knife is, in these times, the most popular weapon of choice. The knife is silent and requires no ammunition. In close quarters the knife is more dangerous than a handgun or a sword. Knives can be made in the most stringently controlled environment.

Keep vigilant at all times. Watch the behavior of those around you. Body language is a good clue. Are they out of place? What is in their hands?

I have 30 plus years hiking this skill. You need to start now. Try to keep 21 feet or more between you and those you don't know. Keep your weapon at the ready for immediate use.
Be prepared to act without warning to save your loved ones and yourself.

Stay strapped or get clapped.

More siding contractor drama

They detached our meterbox last week Wednesday. Told me to call the power co. They said it’s not an emergency and make sure it’s done. Ok. I was busy. Saturday night storms come through. BOOM! that was close. Our power goes on off on off on off … off. Hhm I remember our power box. Text siding guy. Since our neighbors power went out too it’s not the meter box. Then says I should have called. WTF. I google. It’s a BFD. Not an emergency but a BFD.

3/? I’ll be so happy when this is done. They overall did good work. Our bay window looks amazing. It had so much rot and the basically rebuilt it. They mean well, but communication sucks, planning meh. They don’t want to stop and take care of issues but finish quickly to get to the next project. But then things happen and you wind up having to come back anyway.
